Definitions
- the present invention relates to a fan for use in an internal combustion engine.
- the invention also relates to an internal combustion engine having a camshaft with such a fan.
- blowby gas is about 0.5 - 2% of the total gas volume. Due to these unavoidable blow-by gases, a venting of the crankcase is required, which usually ends in the air filter, so that the blow-by gas can be sucked in the next working cycle of the internal combustion engine and so does not enter directly into the environment. Due to the oil mist particles contained in the blow-by gas, however, the air filter is particularly heavily loaded, so that care must be taken when extracting the blow-by gases that as little oil mist particles as possible are extracted.
- JP 2009030580 discloses a separator with fan shaft.
- the present invention is concerned with the problem, for a fan and an internal combustion engine, to provide an improved or at least one alternative embodiment, which is characterized in particular by a suction of blowby gases with reduced oil content.
- the present invention is based on the general idea, in a known per se internal combustion engine with rotating in a crankcase camshaft on this camshaft, a fan rotatably to arrange, which also has a special profile, by means of which during rotation of the camshaft and thus upon rotation of the fan an at least ⁇ lnebelredu adventer, preferably oil mist-free, radial corridor around the fan around, so that in the range of this corridor a suction for sucking blowby gases can be arranged and thereby sucked blowby gases compared to a conventional extraction have a much lower oil content
- the fan can be made as a low-cost component and has a, a tractor tire-like profile, which generates the above-described radial and preferably oil-free corridor upon rotation of the camshaft.
- the fan impeller according to the invention always rotates, wherein the at least oil mist reduced corridor - of course, depending on the rotational speed of the camshaft is available in the scope and size during operation of the internal combustion engine.
- the fan wheel has a V-shaped profile directed in the direction of rotation with a tip, wherein a collar oriented in the direction of rotation is arranged at a free end of the V-shaped ribs, forming a groove together with the respective rib, in which the separated oil or the separated oil mist are transported axially outward.
- the groove formed by the collar and the respective associated rib has In this case, a three-dimensional curved course, wherein the separated from the impeller oil is transported axially and radially outwardly due to the groove-like formation of the rib and the associated collar, whereby said inventive and at least oil-reduced corridor arises.
- the profile and / or the entire fan wheel can be inexpensively, for example, made of metal or plastic, in particular in plastic injection molding, be formed, and placed along the camshaft at a favorable location for the suction.
- the axial length of the fan wheel also determines the axial length of the corridor generated by this.
- an outer contour of the fan wheel is adapted to a contour of the suction for sucking the blow-by gases, and / or vice versa.
- the adaptation of the contours of the impeller, that is, the profile of the impeller and the exhaust have a decisive influence on the oil content of the extracted blow-by gases, so that the smallest possible radial distance between the impeller on the one hand and the exhaust on the other hand, the oil content of the extracted Blowby -Gas helps reduce.
- the suction can be attached, for example, to a cylinder head cover or even preferably integrally formed with this, that is formed on this, be.
- An internal combustion engine 1 has a crankcase 2 with a camshaft 3 rotating therein.
- cams 4 are arranged for actuating not shown inlet or outlet valves in a known manner.
- an inventive fan 5 is also arranged on the camshaft 3 arranged on the camshaft 3 .
- the fan 5 has a profile with which at Rotation of the fan 5 an at least oil mist reduced radial corridor 6 around the fan 5 is formed around.
- a suction nozzle 7 is provided according to the invention for the extraction of blowby gases.
- the fan impeller 5 has a directed with a tip in the direction of rotation 14 V-shaped profile, wherein at a free end of the V-shaped profile forming ribs 8 each a direction of rotation 14 oriented collar 9 is arranged, which together with the respective rib 8 forms a groove 10 in which deposited oil can be transported to the outside axially.
- the collar 9 extends only partially along the respectively associated rib 8, preferably so that the ribs 8 have no collar 9 at a contact area with another rib 8. This is the case for example in the region of a V-shaped tip 11 formed by the two ribs 8.
- the ribs 8 and the respective associated collar 9 may be formed so that the groove 10 formed by these changes in cross-section, in particular, tapers or enlarges outwards.
- the fan 5 may have a driver contour 12, which with a correspondingly shaped Mit supportive ceremonikontur 13 (see. Fig. 2 ) cooperates on the camshaft 3.
- the Mitauerkontur 12 and the Mit supportive ceremonikontur 13 are preferably formed such that the fan 5 threaded onto the camshaft 3 in the axial direction, that is can be pushed.
- the fan 5 has a smaller diameter in the center than at the edge, whereby the through the collar 9 and the associated ribs 8 formed gutters 10 get a three-dimensional and curved course.
- the outer contour of the fan wheel 5 is preferably adapted to a contour of the suction nozzle 7, as for example according to the Fig. 1 shown, wherein a radial distance between the suction nozzle 7 and the fan 5 should preferably be kept as low as possible to suck as little oil or oil mist blowby gases.
- a small proportion of oil sucked blowby gases is of great advantage, since the blow-by gases are usually fed again after passing through an air filter combustion, the durability of the air filter is highly dependent on the oil load of the sucked blow-by gases.
- the fan 5 of the invention may be made of metal or plastic, in particular as a plastic injection molded part and thereby produced inexpensively.
- the Luftabsaugstutzen 7 also have a greater distance from the impeller 5 according to the invention, but it should always be within the formed by the fan 5 in a rotary movement oil mist reduced corridor 6, to minimize oil pollution for the downstream and not shown air filter can .
- the suction nozzle 7 covers in accordance with the Fig. 1 just that portion of the tip 11 in which the ribs 8 have no collar. Of course, care should be taken in the inventive fan 5 that this is properly installed with respect to the direction of rotation 14.
- fan wheels 5 are to be understood purely by way of example with respect to the number and configuration of the collar 9 and the ribs 8, so that in particular fan wheels 8 with more or fewer ribs 8 or collar 9 should also be mitumutzt of the invention.
Description
- Dabei zeigen, jeweils schematisch
- Fig. 1
- Fig. 2
- das erfindungsgemäße Lüfterrad in einer Axialansicht,
- Fig. 3
Fig. 2 ) an der Nockenwelle 3 zusammenwirkt.
Fig. 1 just jenen Bereich der Spitze 11, in welchem die Rippen 8 keinen Kragen aufweisen.
