- The oven (1) comprises a cooking chamber (2) wherein foods to be cooked are disposed, a front wall (3) which is frame-shaped and has an opening (4) at its center, and which closes the front side of the cooking chamber (2) such that the cooking chamber (2) will be able to be accessed through the opening (4), a door (5) which closes the opening (4) and a lock (6) which provides the door (5) to be locked when required in order to prevent it from opening (
Figure 1 and Figure 2 ). - The door (5) comprises a lock pair (19) providing the lock (6) to keep the door (5) in the closed position (
Figure 3 ). - The lock (6) comprises
- a shaft-shaped retaining member (7) which, when the door (5) is in the closed position, moves between a locking position wherein it cooperates with the lock pair (19), and a free position wherein it does not cooperate, and
- an actuating means (8) which rotates the retaining member (7) around its own axis and thus, provides the movement of the retaining member (7) between the locking position and the free position (
Figure 4, Figure 5 andFigure 6 ). - The retaining member (7) prevents the door (5) from opening by cooperating with the lock pair (19) in the locking position, and does not prevent the door (5) from opening by not cooperating with the lock pair (19) in the free position.
- The lock (6), furthermore, comprises a casing (10) which has a bearing (12) that bears the retaining member (7) during its rotational movement, and which enables the retaining member (7) and the actuating means (8) to be grouped and held together and to be mounted onto the front wall (3). The retaining member (7) is disposed into the casing (10) such that it will be able to rotate around its own axis inside the bearing (12).
- The lock (6) comprises a switch (9) which is activated for the transmission of the data that the retaining member (7) is in the locking position and/or in the free position, and the switch (9) is grouped by being fixed onto the casing (10).
- The retaining member (7) comprises a latch (20) which is located at the retaining member (7) end that is near the door (5) and which is preferably formed as an extension that is almost vertical to the rotational axis, and which, in the locking position, cooperates with the lock pair (19) and provides locking, and which, when brought to the free position by being rotated, is released from the lock pair (19) and enables the door (5) to be opened. Thus, the locking process is provided to be performed directly by the rotational movement and the need of movement transmission or conversion of the rotational movement to the linear movement is eliminated.
- The retaining member (7) extends preferably almost in the horizontal axis. The casing (10) has an open top structure such that preferably the top portion of the bearing (12) will be open, enabling the retaining member (7) to be disposed therein. Thus, the bearing (12) surrounds the retaining member (7) from below and bears it, and at the same time, the retaining member (7) can also be easily disposed onto the bearing (12).
- The casing (10) comprises
- a first stopper (13) which is located inside the bearing (12) and against which the retaining member (7) leans when it comes to the free position during the rotational movement, and which stops the rotational movement and
- a second stopper (14) which is located inside the bearing (12) and against which the retaining member (7) leans when it comes to the locking position during the rotational movement, and which stops the rotational movement.
- Thus, the rotational movement is provided to be limited by the bearing (12) and the need of additional elements for limitation is eliminated.
- The retaining member (7) comprises
- a first leaning member (15) which leans against the first stopper (13) when the retaining member (7) comes to the free position during the rotational movement and
- a second leaning member (16) which leans against the second stopper (14) when the retaining member (7) comes to the locking position during the rotational movement.
- When the retaining member (7) is brought to the free position by being rotated to be brought to the free position from the locking position, the first leaning member (15) leans against the first stopper (13). Thus, the retaining member (7) is prevented from rotating more after changing to the free position. When the retaining member (7) is brought to the looking position by being rotated to be brought to the locking position from the free position, the latch (20) settles in the lock pair (19). Meanwhile, the second leaning member (16) leans against the second stopper (14). Thus, the retaining member (7) is prevented from rotating more after passing to the locking position. In other words, by means of the first leaning member (15) - the first stopper (13) and the second leaning member (16) - the second stopper (14) pairs, the rotational movement of the retaining member (7) is limited in both directions.
- The casing (10), furthermore, comprises a body (11) whereon the bearing (12) is located, and a head (17)
- which is connected to the body (11) and whereon the actuating means (8) is mounted,
- which is located after the bearing (12) and which has a shape locking chamber (18) wherein the actuating means (8) and the retaining member (7) are connected shape-lockingly.
- The casing (10) comprises at least one fixing means (21) which is located on the body (11) and which enables the casing (10) to be fixed to the front wall (3). In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the fixing means (21) is formed as an opening which is aligned with the hole located on the front wall (3). In this embodiment, the oven (1), furthermore, comprises a mounting member (22) which is passed through the fixing means (21) and the hole located in alignment with the fixing means (21) and thus, provides the lock (6) to be fixed to the front wall (3).
- In different embodiments of the present invention, the fixing means (21) is formed as, for example, detent means and protrusion such that it will provide the casing (10) to be fixed shape-lockingly to the front wall (3).
- The oven (2) comprises an outer cabinet wherein the cooking chamber (3) is positioned and which has two side walls (23). In an embodiment of the present invention, the casing (10) comprises at least one leg (24) extending from the body (11) towards the side wall (23) and at least one connection member (25) located at the leg (24) portion which contacts the side wall (23) and enabling the casing (10) to be fixed also onto the side wall (23).
- In an embodiment, the connection member (25) is formed as a screw hole. In this embodiment, the oven (1), furthermore, comprises a mounting member (122) which is assembled to the connection member (25) and thus, provides the casing (10) to be fixed to the side wall (23).
- In another embodiment, the connection member (25) is a hook-shaped extension such that it will provide the casing (10) to be hung on the side wall (23). In this embodiment, the side wall (23) comprises a housing wherein the connection member (25) is seated.
- The lock (6), furthermore, comprises a grasp (26) which grasps the retaining member (7) by partially surrounding it from above. The grasp (26) is shape-locked to the casing (10) from one end and fixed by means of a mounting member (222) such as screw from the other end. Thus, the grasp (26) both assists the bearing of the movement of the retaining member (7) and provides the retaining member (7) to be fixed to the casing (10).
- It is to be understood that the present invention is not limited to the embodiments disclosed above and a skilled person in the art can easily introduce different embodiments. These should be considered within the scope of the protection postulated by the claims of the present invention.
