Abstract
An automatic door closer structure comprises a casing (10), at least one piston (20), at least one limiting member (80), at least one driving member (30) connected with the piston (20) and a shaft (50). The casing (10) has an outside wall (10a), a chamber (11), an inside wall (10b) and at least one first limiting portion (13). The piston (20) slidably disposed within the chamber (11) of the casing (10) has an outer wall (20a) and a second limiting portion (21) formed on the outer wall (20a). The limiting member (80) has a first end portion (80a) and a second end portion (80b) both are connected with the first limiting portion (13) of the casing (10) and the second limiting portion (21) of the piston (20) respectively to limit rotation of the piston (20). The shaft (50) comprises a shaft body (51) pivotally disposed in the casing (10) and an eccentric cam (52) contacts against the driving member (30).
Description
- The present invention is generally relating to a door closer, and more particularly to an automatic door closer structure able to prevent rotation of piston.
- Door closer is typically used for providing a damping action against a door to generate a buffer effect while closing the door, and a resilient member installed within door closer can store energy during compressed to automatically and slowly pull door back and then restore door-closing state when exterior force is moved away from door. However, the piston disposed within the known door closer to act for transmission may rotate during transverse movement to cause attrition among other internal components and result in operating unsmooth of door closer.
- The present invention aims at enhancing operation smoothness of a door closer.
- This technical problem is solved by an automatic door closer according to claim 1. Advantageous embodiments are laid down in further claims.
- The present invention provides an automatic door closer structure comprising a casing, at least one piston, at least one limiting member, at least one driving member connected with the piston and a shaft. The casing has an outside wall, a chamber, an inside wall and at least one first limiting portion. The piston slidably disposed within the chamber of the casing has an outer wall and a second limiting portion formed on the outer wall. The limiting member has a first end portion and a second end portion, wherein the first and second end portions are connected with the first limiting portion of the casing and the second limiting portion of the piston respectively. The shaft comprises a shaft body and an eccentric cam coupled to the shaft body, wherein the shaft body is pivotally disposed in the casing, the eccentric cam can contact against the driving member.
- The present invention can limit rotation of the piston by applying engagement among the limiting member, the first limiting portion of the casing and the second limiting portion of the piston, which efficiently reduces attrition among other components inside the door closer and enhances operating smooth of the door closer.

Fig.1 and2 , an automatic door closer structure in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises acasing 10, at least one limitingmember 80, at least onepiston 20, at least onedriving member 30, at least one connectingmember 40, ashaft 50, anelastic assembly 60 and a pair oflids 70. - The
casing 10 has anoutside wall 10a, achamber 11, ashaft hole 12 in communication with theoutside wall 10a and thechamber 11, aninside wall 10b and at least one first limitingportion 13 in communication with theoutside wall 10a and theinside wall 10b. Thechamber 11 is filled with hydraulic oil having afront chamber 111, arear chamber 113 and amiddle chamber 112 in communication with thefront chamber 111 and therear chamber 113. Within this embodiment, thecasing 10 has a pair of first limitingportions 13, each of them is a through hole in communication with theoutside wall 10a and theinside wall 10b, and preferably formed at two laterals of theshaft hole 12 respectively and has a diameter D. - With reference to
Fig.1 ,2 and3 , the automatic door closer structure uses a pair of limitingmembers 80 and each of them has afirst end portion 80a and asecond end portion 80b corresponding to thefirst end portion 80a, wherein thefirst end portions 80a connect with the first limitingportions 13 respectively and preferably each of them is fixed within the first limiting portion throughhole 13 of thecasing 10. Besides, it may further comprises a leak stopper not shown in the drawing disposed at each first limitingportion 13 within this embodiment so as to prevent hydraulic oil inside thechamber 11 from leaking through each first limitingportion 13, wherein steel ball, oil ring or drain-stopping valve can be applied as leak stopper. - With reference to
Fig. 1 ,2 ,5 and6 , inside thecasing 10, there are afirst oil passage 15 in communication with thefront chamber 111 and therear chamber 113, afirst check valve 16 positioned inside thefirst oil passage 15, asecond oil passage 17 in communication with therear chamber 113 and asecond check valve 18 positioned inside thesecond oil passage 17. Thefirst oil passage 15 has anoil inlet 15a in communication with thefront chamber 111 and anoil outlet 15b in communication with therear chamber 113. Thefirst check valve 16 is disposed adjacent to theoil outlet 15b of thefirst oil passage 15, thesecond oil passage 17 has aninlet 17a, afirst outlet 17b and asecond outlet 17c which are communicated with therear chamber 113 respectively, thesecond check valve 18 is disposed adjacent to theinlet 17a of thesecond oil passage 17. In addition, thecasing 10 further has afirst needle valve 19a disposed at thefirst outlet 17b of thesecond oil passage 17, asecond needle valve 19b disposed at thesecond outlet 17c of thesecond oil passage 17, wherein the first and thesecond needle valves first outlet 17b and thesecond outlet 17c. Furthermore, operating smooth of automatic door closer can be improved via reciprocation of thepiston 20 and action of the first andsecond oil passages - With reference to
Fig.1 ,2 , and3 , the automatic door closer structure also uses a pair ofpistons 20 slidably disposed inside thechamber 11 of thecasing 10 and positioned at two laterals of theshaft hole 12 respectively. Eachpiston 20 has anouter wall 20a, anend surface 20b facing theshaft 50, a second limitingportion 21 formed on theouter wall 20a, atrench 22 recessed from theend surface 20b, a connectinghole 23 penetrating thetrench 22 and acavity 24 recessed from theouter wall 20a and communicating with theend surface 20b. Each second limitingportion 21 is a slot in communication with theend surface 20b and eachsecond end portion 80b of the limitingmember 80 is connected with each second limitingportion 21 of thepiston 20, and preferably eachsecond end portion 80b of the limitingmember 80 projects into each second limitingportion slot 21 of thepiston 20, so that the limitingmembers 80 can limit thepistons 20 not to rotate when thepiston 20 are driven. Besides, each second limitingportion 21 has a length L and a first depth H1, and preferably each length L of the second limitingportions 21 is larger than each diameter D of the first limitingportions 13. - With reference again to
Fig.1 and3 , each second limitingportion 21 and each connectinghole 23 of thepistons 20 communicate with eachcavity 24, because each second limitingportion 21 communicates with eachcavity 24, it may prevent thepistons 20 from blocking of the limitingmembers 80 when assembled. Furthermore, eachcavity 24 has a second depth H2 and preferably it is bigger than the first depth H1 of the second limitingportion 21 to further prevent thepistons 20 from blocking of the limitingmember 80 when assembled. - With reference again to
Fig.1 ,2 and3 , the automatic door closer structure further uses a pair ofdriving members 30 and a pair of connectingmembers 40, wherein thedriving members 30 are rollers and connected with thepistons 20, preferably thedriving members 30 are pivotally disposed at thetrenches 22 of thepistons 20 respectively, each connectingmember 40 is disposed by penetrating the connectinghole 23 of thepiston 20 and thedriving member 30. Theshaft 50 comprises ashaft body 51 and aneccentric cam 52 coupled to theshaft body 51, wherein theshaft body 51 is pivotally disposed in theshaft hole 12 of thecasing 10, theeccentric cam 52 can contact against thedriving members 30 within this embodiment. Besides, with reference toFig.3 and4 , theeccentric cam 52 has an axle center O and acam edge 52a and there is a longest distance S1 and a shortest distance S2 between the axle center O and thecam edge 52a. It is preferable that the length L of each second limitingportion 21 is larger than a difference of between the longest distance S1 and the shortest distance S2 i.e. L > S1-S2 to prevent the limitingmembers 80 from disengaging with the second limitingportions 21 when thepistons 20 transversely move. With reference again toFig. 1 ,2 and3 , theelastic assembly 60 disposed within thechamber 11 of thecasing 10 contacts against thepiston 20 and may regulate opening/closing force with respect to the automatic door closer structure within this embodiment. Furthermore, thelids 70 seal two ends of thecasing 10 respectively so as to prevent hydraulic oil from leaking. - The present invention can prevent the rotation of the
piston 20 relative to thechamber 11 by applying engagement among thelimiting member 80, the first limitingportion 13 of thecasing 10 and the second limitingportion 21 of thepiston 20, which efficiently reduces attrition among other components inside the door closer and enhances operating smooth of the door closer. - While this invention has been particularly illustrated and described in detail with respect to the preferred embodiments thereof, it will be clearly understood by those skilled in the art that is not limited to the specific features shown and described and various modified and changed in form and details may be made without departing from the scope of this invention.

- An automatic door closer structure comprising:- a casing (10) having a chamber (11) and at least one first limiting portion (13);- at least one piston (20) slidably disposed within the chamber (11) of the casing (10) and having an outer wall (20a) and a second limiting portion (21) formed on the outer wall (20a);- at least one limiting member (80) connected with the first limiting portion (13) and the second limiting portion (21) to prevent the rotation of the piston (20) relative to the chamber (11);- at least one driving member (30) connected with the piston (20); and- a shaft (50) comprising a shaft body (51) pivotally disposed in the casing (10) and an eccentric cam (52) contacts against the driving member (30).
- The automatic door closer structure in accordance with claim 1, wherein the limiting member (80) has a first end portion (80a) and a second end portion (80b), the first and second end portions (80a, 80b) are connected with the first limiting portion (13) of the casing (10) and the second limiting portion (21) of the piston (20) respectively.
- The automatic door closer structure in accordance with claim 2, wherein the first end portion (80a) of the limiting member (80) is fixed within the first limiting portion (13) of the casing (10), the second end portion (80b) of the limiting member (80) projects into the second limiting portion (21) of the piston (20).
- The automatic door closer structure in accordance with claim 2 or 3, wherein the casing (10) has an outside wall (10a) and an inside wall (10b), the first limiting portion (13) of the casing (10) is a through hole in communication with the outside wall (10a) and the inside wall (10b), the second limiting portion (21) of the piston (20) is a slot, the first end portion (80a) of the limiting member (80) is fixed within the through hole of the casing (10), the second end portion (80b) of the limiting member (80) projects into the slot of the piston (20).
- The automatic door closer structure in accordance with one of claims 1 to 4, wherein the casing (10) has an outside wall (10a) and a shaft hole (12) in communication with the outside wall (10a) and the chamber (11), the shaft body (51) is pivotally disposed in the shaft hole (12), the first limiting portion (13) is formed at one lateral of the shaft hole (12).
- The automatic door closer structure in accordance with one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the piston (20) has an end surface (20b) facing the shaft (50), the second limiting portion (21) is a slot in communication with the end surface (20b).
- The automatic door closer structure in accordance with claim 6, wherein the piston (20) has a cavity (24) recessed from the outer wall (20a), the cavity (24) communicates with the end surface (20b) and the second limiting portion (21).
- The automatic door closer structure in accordance with one of claims 1 to 7, wherein the second limiting portion (21) of the piston (20) has a length (L), the eccentric cam (52) has an axle center (O) and a cam edge (52a), there are a longest distance (S1) and a shortest distance (S2) between the axle center (O) and the cam edge (52a), the length (L) is larger than a difference of between the longest distance (S1) and the shortest distance (S2).
- The automatic door closer structure in accordance with one of claims 1 to 8, wherein the casing (10) further has a first oil passage (15) and a second oil passage (17) both are formed therein, the chamber (11) has a front chamber (111), a rear chamber (113) and a middle chamber (112) in communication with the front chamber (111) and the rear chamber (113), the first oil passage (15) has an oil inlet (15a) in communication with the front chamber (111) and an oil outlet (15b) in communication with the rear chamber (113), the second oil passage (17) communicates with the rear chamber (113).
- An automatic door closer structure comprising:- a casing (10) having a chamber (11) and at least one through hole (13);- at least one piston (20) slidably disposed within the chamber (11) of the casing (10) and having an outer wall (20a) and a slot (21) formed on the outer wall (20a);- at least one limiting member (80) connected with the through hole (13) and the slot (21) to prevent the rotation of the piston (20) relative to the chamber (11);- at least one driving member (30) connected with the piston (20); and- a shaft (50) comprising a shaft body (51) pivotally disposed in the casing (10) and an eccentric cam (52) contacts against the driving member (30).
- The automatic door closer structure in accordance with claim 10, wherein the limiting member (80) has a first end portion (80a) and a second end portion (80b), the first and second end portions (80a, 80b) are connected with the through hole (13) of the casing (10) and the slot (21) of the piston (20) respectively.
- The automatic door closer structure in accordance with claim 11, wherein the first end portion (80a) of the limiting member (80) is fixed within the through hole (13) of the casing (10), the second end portion (80b) of the limiting member (80) projects into the slot (21) of the piston (20).
- The automatic door closer structure in accordance with one of claims 10 to 12, wherein the casing (10) has an outside wall (10a) and a shaft hole (12) in communication with the outside wall (10a) and the chamber (11), the shaft body (51) is pivotally disposed in the shaft hole (12), the through hole (13) is formed at one lateral of the shaft hole (12).
- The automatic door closer structure in accordance with one of claims 10 to 13, wherein the slot (21) of the piston (20) has a length (L), the eccentric cam (52) has an axle center (O) and a cam edge (52a), there are a longest distance (S1) and a shortest distance (S2) between the axle center (O) and the cam edge (52a), the length (L) is larger than a difference of between the longest distance (S1) and the shortest distance (S2).
- The automatic door closer structure in accordance with one of claims 10 to 14, wherein the casing (10) further has a first oil passage (15) and a second oil passage (17) both are formed therein, the chamber (11) has a front chamber (111), a rear chamber (113) and a middle chamber (112) in communication with the front chamber (111) and the rear chamber (113), the first oil passage (15) has an oil inlet (15a) in communication with the front chamber (111) and an oil outlet (15b) in communication with the rear chamber (113), the second oil passage (17) communicates with the rear chamber (113).
