Abstract
Description
- This application is based on and claims priority from Korean Patent Application No.
10-2008-0090972, filed on September 17, 2008 - The present invention relates to a structure for preventing deviation of elevator doors and insertion of foreign objects, and more particularly to a structure for preventing deviation of elevator doors and insertion of foreign objects, which can prevent opening of elevator hoistway doors by an external force and accidents caused by such opening of the elevator doors, and prevent insertion of foreign objects into a rail groove.
- In general, elevator hoistway doors are installed in places where passengers can make direct contact with the doors rather than any other place of an elevator, and are exposed to passenger's mischief and accidents.
- With reference to
FIG. 1 , left and right doors LD and RD are installed in a hoistway portion of an elevator, and upper portions of the left and right doors LD and RD are connected toconnection plates 400. - Also, on lower portions of the left and right doors LD and RD,
shoes 100 are formed, and asill 200, in which theshoes 100 are inserted and guided, is installed in the lower portions of the hoistway portion. - In accordance with the above-described structure, the left and right doors LD and RD are opened or closed by the operation of the
connection plates 400 through the driving of the hoistway door device and the guide operation of thesues 100 andsill 200. - That is, the hoistway door device may have a structure in which the
connection plates 400 provided in upper portions of the left and right doors LD and RD are connected together through awire 300 or the like, and if one door (e.g. LD) is moved, the other door (e.g. RD), which receives a force transferred through thewire 300, is opened or closed, or a structure in which therespective connection plates 400 are driven to open or close the left and right doors LD and RD. However, if an impact is applied to a bottom surface of a lower end of one door (e.g. LD), regardless of the fact that the left and right doors LD and RD are opened or closed separately or in association with each other, the deviation of the door LD may easily occur. - Accordingly, as illustrated in
FIG. 2 , if the door does not have sufficient rigidity when an abnormal impact is applied to the door LD or RD (as indicated by an arrow inFIG. 2 ) due to an unavoidable accident or the like, the bending of the door occurs greatly, and thus theshoe 100, which serves to guide the lower portion of the door, may deviate from thesill 200. - Although several structures for preventing such deviation have been originated, foreign objects may be easily inserted in the
sill 200 due to such deviation prevention structure, and thus trouble may frequently occur in operating the hoistway doors. Also, during the installation of the deviation prevention structure, it is difficult to perform an accurate space adjustment, and thus it is difficult to install the deviation prevention structure. Also, due to an erroneous space adjustment, an interference or trouble may occur between the respective constituent elements. - Accordingly, the present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned problems occurring in the related art while advantages achieved by the related art are maintained intact.
- One subject to be achieved by the present invention is to provide a structure for preventing deviation of elevator doors and insertion of foreign objects, which can prevent opening of elevator hoistway doors by an external force applied to the hoistway doors and cause no difficulty in opening/closing the elevator hoistway doors even without separately reinforcing the strength of the elevator hoistway doors.
- Another subject to be achieved by the present invention is to provide a structure for preventing deviation of elevator doors and insertion of foreign objects, which can prevent insertion of foreign objects in the sill, reduce the possibility of trouble due to the insertion of the doors through setting of an appropriate installation height, and improve the workability.
- In one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a structure for preventing deviation of elevator doors and insertion of foreign objects, including left and right doors having sues installed on lower portions thereof and a sill having a rail groove into which the sues are inserted, which includes a locking bracket installed at lower ends of the left and right doors with a "┘"-shaped cross-section and having a vertical portion and a horizontal portion, wherein a locking groove into which a front end of the horizontal portion of the locking bracket is inserted or a projection portion is formed on an inner wall of a rail groove. The structure for preventing deviation of elevator doors and insertion of foreign objects according to an embodiment of the present invention may adopt double bending in the middle of the locking bracket, and thus can minimize interference caused by foreign objects accumulated on the sill and improve the strength of the locking bracket. Also, the structure for preventing deviation of elevator doors and insertion of foreign objects according to an embodiment of the present invention facilitates the installation and adjustment through addition of a cutout portion or hole to the center portion or outline of the locking bracket.
- With the above-described construction according to the present invention, unnecessary costs for reinforcing the strength of the doors so as to prevent the deviation of the doors due to an abnormally impact or external force can be reduced, and a user or a resident can be prevented from falling into the shaft as the deviation of the doors occurs due to such an abnormal impact. Also, installation of the structure for preventing deviation of elevator hoistway doors is facilitated, and the trouble of the hoistway doors due to the foreign objects accumulated in the sill can be minimize.

Alocking bracket 2 is installed at lower ends of the left and right doors LD and RD, and on an inner wall of therail groove 210, alocking groove 212, into which afront end 21 of a horizontal portion of thelocking bracket 2 is inserted, is formed. Thesue 100 is an approximately rectangular metal plate formed in the lower portions of the left and right doors LD and RD, and astepped portion 110 for preventing the deviation is formed at the lower end of thesue 100. Thesill 200 is a guide member of a predetermined length, which has therail groove 210 into which a lowerstepped portion 110 of thesue 100 is inserted. Accordingly, when the left and right doors LD and RD are opened or closed, thesue 100 moves along therail groove 210. - As illustrated in
FIGS. 5 to 8 , thelocking bracket 2 is a rectangular metal plate attached to the lower ends of the left and right doors LD and RD, and is formed to have a "┘"-shaped cross-section by bending a part of the lower end thereof in one side direction, and thus a front end that is parallel to the lower portion thereof is formed. Also, the upper portions thereof are fixed to the lower ends of the left and right doors LD and RD by bolt fastening. Particularly, by double-bending a middle region of thelocking bracket 2 in horizontal and vertical directions, amiddle bent portion 24 is formed to improve the strength. Also, in the lower portion of themiddle bent portion 24, anelongated hole 20 of a predetermined length is formed. Accordingly, the lower portion of themiddle bent portion 24 is positioned in the center of therail groove 210 to minimize the insertion of foreign objects. - Also, since the strength of the
locking bracket 2 can be improved by the double-bentmiddle bent portion 24, the bending of thelocking bracket 2 may be minimized even if impact is applied to thelocking bracket 2. Thelocking groove 212 is formed on the inner wall of therail groove 210 so that thehorizontal front end 21 formed in the lower portion of thelocking bracket 2 can be inserted into thelocking groove 212. - As illustrated in

locking bracket 2 must be accurately set. For example, in the case where thelocking bracket 2 is deeply inserted into therail groove 210, thefront end 21 of the lower portion of the locking bracket reaches the lower end of thelocking groove 212 to make the installation state inferior, while in the case where thelocking bracket 2 is shallowly inserted into therail groove 210, thefront end 21 of the lower portion reaches the upper end of thelocking groove 212 to make the installation state inferior. -
FIG. 9 is a view illustrating a method of confirming upper and lower positions of a locking bracket in the case where no adjustment hole exists. As illustrated inFIG. 9 , in the related art, the installation height of the locking bracket 2' is set by standing and measuring with a fitting member on which a graded scale is put. In this case, the installation height is set with the naked eye, and thus it is difficult to set an appropriate installation position of the locking bracket 2'. Accordingly, in the case where the installation position of the locking bracket 2' is erroneously adjusted, the front end 21' of the locking bracket 2' reaches thelocking groove 212, and the performance cannot be properly shown. In this case, due to the interference with thesill 200, a noise and trouble may occur. -
FIG. 10 is a side view illustrating a method of setting an appropriate installation position to match a fitting member in the case where an adjustment hole is applied to the center portion of a locking bracket according to an embodiment of the present invention, andFIG. 11 is a front view of a locking bracket in a state where a fitting member is inserted in an elongated hole formed on both end portions thereof according to an embodiment of the present invention. - As illustrated in
FIGS. 10 and11 , theelongated hole 20 may be formed in the center region of thelocking bracket 2 or in both end portions of thelock bracket 2. Regardless of the position of theelongated hole 20 formed, thelock bracket 2 can be set with a desired height through insertion of thefitting member 500. That is, thefitting member 500 is a flat plate material having a predetermined length and a narrow width, and the width of thefitting member 500 is set to be somewhat narrower than the width of theelongated hole 20. By inserting the front end of thefitting member 500 in a state where thefitting member 500 is put on the upper surface of thesill 200, the upper end of theelongated hole 20 of thelocking bracket 2 becomes in close contact with the upper surface of thefitting member 500 to set the most appropriate height, and in this state, abolt 22 is fastened to fixe thelocking bracket 2. - On the other hand, in another embodiment of the present invention, a hole may be formed on the inner side wall of the
rail groove 210 of thesill 200, a hole, a protrusion, or a folded portion may be formed on the whole cross-section of thesill 200, or a bolt and a plate material, a pin, a bar, or a rectangular bar may be attached or inserted in order to make an end portion on the inner side wall of thesill 200 or the upper or lower portion of thesill 200. - Although preferred embodiments of the present invention have been described for illustrative purposes, those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications, additions and substitutions are possible, without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention as disclosed in the accompanying claims.
