Description

The invention relates to a table with a pivoting table top, which is rotatably and lockably mounted by means of a pivoting mechanism on a table frame in the upper region of two lateral table legs about an axis of rotation extending in its longitudinal direction and between a horizontal position of use and a retracted storage position is foldable or retractable.

A table of this kind is in the EP 1 308 109 B1 specified. In this known table, also referred to as a folding table, the table top is mounted rotatably about a horizontal longitudinal axis on a table frame and can be switched between a horizontal position of use and a substantially vertical storage position and folded out. The pivot mechanism is designed so that simultaneously with the pivoting of the table top, a twisting of the two lateral legs is accompanied, so that in the retracted position of the table top in the position of use in the depth direction aligned T-feet are rotated in the longitudinal direction of the table. To release the pivoting movement are arranged under two-sided cross members of the table top handles. Associated with the combined pivotal movement of the table top and rotational movement of the table legs of the pivot mechanism is relatively complex formed with a correspondingly large number of individual components.

US 6,845,723 . WO 01/54538 . WO 01/13762 . DE 90 11 229 . EP 1 159 887 . DE 102 60 503 and the DE 100 38 223 shown with folding mechanisms in various configurations.

The invention has for its object to provide a table of the type mentioned above, which has a safe, easy-to-use swivel function for folding and unfolding the table top with a simple structure.

This object is achieved with the features of claim 1. In this case, it is provided that the pivot mechanism has at least one pair of interlocking, complementary to each other, concentric with the axis of rotation arranged tooth portions which are relatively apart by at least the tooth depth in the direction of the axis of rotation for releasing the pivoting movement, and that rotates per pair of a tooth portion rotatably to the table leg and the other tooth portion rotatably mounted to the table top.

The interlocking tooth sections provide a stable, backlash-free, defined fixing of the table top in the selected pivoting position relative to the table legs, wherein an unlocking and locking of the tooth sections is achieved by simply pushing apart and meshing of the tooth sections.

In addition to the folded and unfolded pivot position and defined intermediate positions are possible, if desired.

To a reliable function, the measures contribute that the tooth portions are formed in the respective end face of a circular cross-section cylindrical hollow profile section or a circular ring attached thereto.

A defined pivoting angle and thus pivoting range is ensured by the fact that the pivoting range between the unfolded position and the retracted position of the table top is limited by a mitbewegten by the pivoting limiter and two fixed in the direction of rotation limiter stops.

A stable mounting of the table top and coupling with the table frame are obtained by extending along the axis of rotation under the table top in particular concentric to the axis of rotation of a crossbar of the table frame to which the table top is connected near its lateral ends by means mounted on its underside cross member rotatably, and that the longitudinal traverse is provided laterally outside the cross member at their mutual end portions each with a tooth portion.

Furthermore, the measures contribute to a simple construction with a reliable function in that the toothed portion, which is rotationally fixed relative to the table legs, is arranged on a bearing piece fixedly connected to the table leg. If the construction is such that the toothed portion arranged on the bearing piece can be extended and retracted, the table legs are moved along because of the fixed connection with the bearing piece.

An advantageous, stable structure with reliable function is that the bearing piece forms a cylindrical hollow profile section, that in the other hollow profile section, which is rotated during pivoting of the table top around the axis of rotation, a cylindrical receiving piece is inserted concentrically to the axis of rotation, the outer diameter of the Inner diameter of the other hollow profile section is adapted and which projects beyond the end face, and that the bearing piece on the receiving piece slidably and rotatably or fixed and with the receiving piece in the other hollow profile section is slidably and rotatably mounted concentrically to the axis of rotation.

In addition to a simple, stable construction, the measures contribute to the fact that the other hollow profile section forms a continuation of the longitudinal traverse, which is formed throughout as a cylindrical hollow profile.

A simple, stable construction with reliable function is also facilitated by the fact that the limiter element is mounted on the outer shell side of one of the two hollow profile sections and projects in the direction of the toothing of the associated tooth section and that the limiter stops in a shroud or shroud section are formed, which is fixed on the outside of the other of the two hollow profile sections in the limiter facing the end region.

A favorable structure for the function and production also results from the fact that the Begrenzeranschläge are formed by flanks of an end-side recess of the shroud or shroud section, which extends over the pivot angle of the table top and determines this.

Is further provided that the circumferentially extending edge of the recess set back so far and the length of the limiter is dimensioned so that the toothings are disengaged while the limiter member is supported with its free end face to the circumferentially extending edge, and that the recess is so far provided with recesses in the axial direction at least at their adjoining the Begrenzeranschläge end portions that the toothings can be brought into engagement when the Begrenzerelement engages in the recess in question, it is ensured that the engagement of the tooth portions only in the defined pivoting positions takes place during the pivoting movement but the tooth portions are kept out of engagement, wherein the circumferentially extending edge of the recess is a defined slotted guide for the limiter. Through the recesses of the recess a secure engagement of the tooth portions is achieved in the intended pivot positions, with defined recesses within the pivot angle defined intermediate positions are possible. By enlarging the depressions in the pivoting direction, different pivoting adjustments can be made be selected to a respective pivot position, z. B. slight oblique inclinations of the table top over the horizontal adjustment.

The actuation of the pivoting mechanism and its function are facilitated by the fact that the disengagement or the meshing of the tooth sections of the respective pair is supported by means of spring force of a compression spring or tension spring.

An advantageous structure consists in the fact that the spring is arranged in the interior of the cylindrical bearing piece and on the one hand supported against a patch of the free outer support member in the form of a lid or flange and on the other hand on the outer end side of the receiving piece.

For ease of handling and safe operation of the actuating mechanism contribute to the measures that for disengaging and Ineinanderrücken the tooth portions an actuating mechanism is provided with a coupled to a manual operating linkage, with which one tooth portion of a pair for releasing to the outside or the other tooth portion of the pair can be moved inwards and to the meshing back of a tooth portion inwardly or the other tooth portion is externally rückbar.

An advantageous structure is achieved in that the linkage is connected to the end of at least one rod on at least one side of the bearing piece, in particular on the support member, to off and / or engage the associated tooth portion.

The folding and unfolding of the table top and stacking several tables in their retracted position are favored in that the lateral table legs preferably arranged centrally in the width direction of the table top and at least in its upper portion with a single or double column, in particular in the side and depth direction have staggered individual segments, are formed and stand up with or without rollers on the floor.

Fig. 1C, 1 D) verläuft. The Fig. 1A and 1B show a folding table designed as a table 1 with a centrally arranged longitudinal beam 4 pivotable table top 2, the in Fig. 1A in its pivoted, substantially vertical pivot position (storage position) and in Fig. 1 B is shown in its horizontal pivot position (use position). In Fig. 1C, 1 D a corresponding representation is reproduced for a variant 1 'of the table, in which a longitudinal cross-member 4 is arranged in the rear region of the table top. The preferably rectangular table top 2, which may alternatively have a different geometric shape, for example square, oval or round, is connected near its two narrow edges on its underside with cross members 5, which are mounted on a supported on two lateral legs 3 table , wherein the longitudinal bar 4 in the embodiment centrally under the table top 2 or alternatively eccentrically, for example in the rear table top area (s. Fig. 1C, 1 D ) runs. The support point of the table legs lies laterally outside the cross member 5, but still below the table top 2. The table legs 3, the z. B. may be equipped with a T-foot or C-foot, have an upper portion 3.1, which is at least as long as the pivoted-down portion of the table top 2, and a subsequent to the upper portion 3.1 lower portion with an obliquely forwards below and an obliquely downwards directed down leg, the ends of which are supported on rollers 3.3 on the ground. The two partial legs continue in two vertical upper sections, which together form the upper section 3.1 and are connected to each other via short transverse connecting pieces. The upper sections are offset obliquely in the longitudinal direction of the longitudinal bar 4 and in the depth direction of the cross member 5, such. B. also off Fig. 3 seen. As from the stacked presentation of the tables 1 in Fig. 2A, 2B can be seen, this construction of the table legs 3 benefits for the stacking of the tables, which are thus stackable without longitudinal displacement of the entire tables, provided that the offset of the sections of the legs in the longitudinal direction at least the strength of the cross-section z. B. round sections is.

As Fig. 3 further shows, the table legs 3 are mounted by means of a respective support shell 3.4 under a laterally coupled to the longitudinal bar 4 extension unit and support the longitudinal cross-member 4 from. The extension unit has a bearing piece 11 in the form of a circular cylindrical hollow profile section, which, as the exploded representations in the Fig. 5A and in particular 5B can be seen more accurately, is pushed onto a circular cylindrical receiving piece 4.1, which projects laterally beyond the cross member 5 in extension of the longitudinal bar 4. The longitudinal cross-member 4 in this case has a to the outer lateral edge of the cross member 5 or slightly beyond integrally extending, in cross-section circular hollow profile, in which the receiving piece 4.1 is inserted concentrically. The outer diameter of the receiving piece 4.1 is adapted to the inner diameter of the hollow profile of the longitudinal bar 4, so that there is a stable seat, wherein the receiving piece 4.1 is set in the hollow profile of the longitudinal bar 4 to this non-rotatable and immovable. The inner diameter of the bearing piece 11 is adapted to the outer diameter of the receiving piece 4.1 so that the bearing piece 11 is mounted on the receiving piece 4.1 slidably and concentrically to this about a rotational axis. Thus, the table top 2 is rotatably supported together with the cross members 5 and the longitudinal bar 4 relative to the bearing piece 11 and the associated table legs 3 about the axis of rotation, which in the present case also corresponds to the central axis of the longitudinal bar 4. The outer diameter of the bearing piece 11 preferably corresponds approximately to the outer diameter of the longitudinal bar 4 and may be cut from the same hollow profile, in particular tube.

As Fig. 3 in conjunction with the Figs. 4A to 4F and 5A to 5C further shows, the pivoting mechanism 10 has two with their teeth in the selected pivot position into each other cross-toothed portions 15, 17 which are incorporated on the mutually facing end faces of the hollow profile of the longitudinal bar 4 on the one hand and the bearing piece 11 on the other hand or z. B. are mounted by means of a toothed ring, wherein the serrations are directed towards each other and advantageously have beveled tooth flanks, so that a stable, unequivocal rotational fit achieved and meshing and disengagement of the toothings is guaranteed to perform a pivoting movement without difficulty.

In addition, on the outside of the hollow profile shell and the bearing mantle in the region of the tooth portions 15, 17, offset radially outwardly therefrom, on the one hand a limiter member 16 and the other limiter flanks attached to limit the pivot angle to which the limiter member 16 strikes at the two ends of the pivoting path , The limiter edges are formed by circumferentially spaced-apart lateral edges of a recess 12.1, which is formed in a collar ring 12 applied concentrically to the axis of rotation and corresponds in the circumferential direction to the angular range of the pivot angle of the table top 2. Recesses 12.2 are provided in the recess 12.1 in the axial direction at least in the two areas corresponding to the end positions of the swivel angle, the extent of which in the circumferential direction corresponds at least to the extent of the limiter element 16 in the circumferential direction, so that in the end position of the swiveling positions in the depressions 12.2 of the recess 12.1 can occur. The circumferentially extending edge of the recess 12.1 is in the axial direction to the length of the limiter member 16 in the axial direction so tuned that the free end of the limiter member 16 is supported on the circumferentially extending edge of the recess 12.1 when the tooth portions 15, 17 of the concerned pair out of engagement and out of the final position the pivoting position are moved relative to each other. Through this link guide an easy and safe running pivoting movement is achieved from one end position to the other. Once the end positions of the pivoting layers have been reached, the free end section of the limiter element 16 enters the depression 12. 2, which is formed so deep that the tooth sections 15, 17 can completely engage one another, so that the respective end position of the pivoting region is stably and securely locked. If the depression 12.2 widens in the circumferential direction with respect to the width of the limiter element 16 in the circumferential direction by more than one tooth width of the tooth sections 15, 17, slight adjustments of the pivot position in the relevant end region are possible. For example, so that the working position of the table top 2 can be varied by the horizontal position, while an unintentional larger pivoting is excluded. By further depressions 12.2 of the recess 12.1 over the pivoting range, stable intermediate positions can be specified, if desired. In the embodiment shown, the shroud 12 is fixedly mounted on the circumferential outer side of the bearing piece 11, while the limiter member 16 is fixedly secured to the longitudinal bar 4, namely on the outside of the hollow profile. Also, a reverse arrangement of the shroud 12 on the longitudinal bar 4 and the Begrenzerelementes 16 on the bearing piece 11 is possible.

As the exploded representations in particular in the Fig. 5B and 5C show, in the bearing piece 11 a presently formed as a helical compression spring spring 13 is inserted, on the one hand on the front side of the receiving piece 4.1 and on the other hand on a inserted into the free end of the bearing member 11 and held axially immovable support member 14 in the form of an annular flange or lid is supported. The spring 13 is designed and stored in this way, that their spring force pushes the bearing piece 11 against the receiving piece 4.1 far outward, that the mutual tooth portions 15, 17 are disengaged, and the engagement of the tooth portions 15, 17, the bearing piece 11 must be pressed by a force exceeding the spring force inwards. This is done by means of an in Fig. 5A and the Figs. 7A to 7D shown linkage 23, which engages with its free end portion of the bearing piece 11, namely on the support member 14, in the present case in the region of a central passage opening and by train the bearing piece 11 moves inwards, so that the teeth of the tooth portions 15, 17 are engaged , The linkage 23 is z. B. by means of a thread in the support member 14 is screwed directly or held by means of an external screw or a transverse pin advantageously with the interposition of a disc.

The linkage 23 is guided through the interior of the bearing piece 11, the receiving piece 14.1 and the hollow profile of the longitudinal bar 4 and coupled approximately in the middle of the longitudinal extent of the longitudinal bar 4 with an actuating mechanism 20 having a led out to the outside of the hollow profile manual operating part 21, which is guided pivotably along an arcuate guide member 22. The pivot axis lies in the interior of the hollow profile, while the coupled portion of the linkage 23 is outside the pivot axis and is thus displaced by the eccentricity when moving the manual operating part 21 in the longitudinal direction of the longitudinal bar 4 to release the bearing piece 11 with the respective tooth portion 15, wherein the spring 13 causes the teeth sections 15, 17 to move apart either alone when the skirt 23 is slidably supported in the support member 14 in one direction, or together with the linkage 23 when the linkage 23 is fixedly secured in both directions Support member 14 is mounted. To collapse the tooth portions 15, 17, the lever of the manual operating part 21 is pivoted in the other direction, so that the bearing piece 11 with the tooth portion 15 on the receiving piece 4.1 is slidingly pulled against the spring force inwardly, wherein the actuating mechanism causes a lock.

As the figures show, pivoting mechanisms with interlocking tooth portions 15, 17 and a limiter stopper 16 cooperating with limiter stops of the described embodiment are arranged on both narrow sides of the table 1, and the actuating mechanism 20 is with a two-sided linkage 23 of two individual tie rods, which also be designed as push rods or can act, coupled in the manner described. As a result, both pivot mechanisms 10 are operated with only one actuating mechanism 20 with manual operation part 21, so that only one hand is needed for the operation. The actuating mechanism 20 is designed so that it locks the engagement of the tooth portions 15, 17 on both sides against the spring force of the spring 13. When loosening the bearing piece 11 is moved together with the attached thereto on the support shell 3.4 legs 3 outwards, so that the teeth of the tooth portions 15, 17 apart and are disengaged.
By means of an end piece 6, which is pushed onto the end section of the longitudinal cross-piece 4 equipped with the pivoting mechanism 10 before attaching the table legs 3, the end section is completely covered. To the table legs 3 with the respective support shells 3.4 on the bearing piece 11 z. B. by means of screws or welding, the end piece 6 with a to the shape and Position of the support shell 3.4 adapted recess 6.1 provided. The front end of the respective end piece 6 is below the table top 2 or closes with their respective narrow side in alignment.
