Claims (10)

  1. A protection device for a shutter (2) delimited in the wall (3) of a vehicle body, characterised in that it comprises a plate (4) arranged at a distance from the shutter (2) by means of spacers (5) integral with the vehicle wall (3), the plate being made integral with each spacer (5) by shearable linking means or means deformable through the effect of a pressure field exerted on the plate, the latter being able to slide along the spacers to obstruct the shutter (2) under the effect of the pressure field.
  2. A protection device according to Claim 1, characterised in that each spacer (5) is constituted by a rod (7) fastened to the wall (3) and a column (8) coaxial to the rod, the plate (4) sliding with respect to this column.
  3. A protection device according to Claim 2, characterised in that the plate (4) has a counterbore (11) with a hole (4a) through which each rod (7) passes, the counterbore (11) defining a thinned zone (12) in the plate which constitutes the shearable or deformable linking means, the head (9) of the rod (7) being engaged in the counterbore (11) so as to press on said zone (12).
  4. A protection device according to Claim 3, characterised in that the thinned zone (12) incorporates slits enabling the deformation of this thinned zone, the deformed parts of the thinned zone (12) further ensuring the retention of the plate (4) against the shutter by pinching the columns (8).
  5. A protection device according to any one of Claims 2 to 4, characterised in that the plate (4) presses on the column (8) and is held in place by the rod (7) by means of a head (9) or nut.
  6. A protection device according to Claim 5, characterised in that at least one washer (13, 14) is positioned between the head (9) and the plate (4).
  7. A protection device according to Claim 2, characterised in that the column (8) is equipped with a flange (16) onto which the plate (4) is fastened using screws (17), the plate (4) being released by breaking the threading of each screw (17) which thereby constitutes the shearable or deformable linking means.
  8. A protection device according to Claim 2 characterised in that the end of the column (8) is fastened to the plate (4) by a welding bead (18) which constitutes the shearable linking means.
  9. A protection device according to any one of the above Claims, characterised in that the plate (4) is an armour plate.
  10. A protection device according to any one of the above Claims, characterised in that the plate (4) conforms to the dimensions of the shutter (2).
