Abstract

A collapsible plastic storage and transport container has four sidewalls configured to be collapsible inwardly towards a bottom part. Two opposing first sidewalls have recesses and upper corner regions with a spring clip. The spring clip is fixedly connected to a first sidewall and has a free end with a locking projection. The other two opposing second sidewalls have detents disposed on edges of the two second sidewalls. The free end of the spring clip is moveable in a plane of the first sidewall against a spring force of the spring clip, and the locking projection engages behind a corresponding detent to lock the first sidewalls with the second sidewalls. The upper corner regions of the first sidewalls are double-walled, with a closed outer surface and an inner surface with a grip hole. Each spring element can only be actuated from inside the container.

Description

The invention relates to a collapsible storage and transport container made of plastic according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

Such collapsible storage and transport containers, in which the side walls are completely convertible to the inside or outside, are for example from the publication US 2003/0146213 known and are also referred to as folding boxes. In contrast, folding boxes have retractable end walls and foldable side walls with an upper frame, which contributes to the stability of the Faltbox. Foldable containers are widely used for the transport of objects in the household as well as in storage and transport. Since valuable or sensitive goods are transported in such containers, especially in the commercial sector, these containers must also be provided with a safety device, for example in the form of a seal, which prevents the containers from being opened by unauthorized persons. The containers with hinged side walls have in common that the hinged side walls are releasably locked together at its upper edge, and have no upper frame. The stabilization is usually done by hinged, two-part lid, so that it is also taken care of optimal protection of the goods. The locking of the side walls, however, usually does not protect against the fact that the containers can be manipulated or opened by unauthorized persons.

It is therefore an object of the present invention, a collapsible, closable with lids storage and transport container of the type mentioned with a Locking the side walls to create, as easy as possible in the manufacture and installation, and easy to handle.

This object is achieved by a collapsible storage and transport container having the features of claim 1.

An advantage of the invention is that the locking of the other side walls of the container from the outside is not manipulated, and that the container is uncomplicated collapsible and erectable. The mounting of the bolt on the container side wall is easy and quick, which saves costs in the manufacture of the container.

Further advantages of the invention will become apparent from the dependent claims and from the following description in which the invention with reference to an embodiment shown in the schematic drawings is explained in more detail.

The inventive collapsible storage and transport container made of plastic includes a bottom part and four hingedly arranged on the container bottom, hinged side walls, which are preferably folded down inwardly on the floor. Each two oppositely arranged first side walls 2 are releasably latched to the two other oppositely disposed second side walls in the corner regions of the collapsible storage and transport container. For this purpose, the two first side walls 2 in the two upper corner areas associated latching latch 1, which are latched to lock the unfolded side walls behind corresponding latching lugs respectively at the edges of the two second side walls.

In the FIG. 1 For example, an embodiment of such a locking latch 1 is shown in a perspective view with the outside to the front. The latch bolt 1 is formed as a spring clip 6, wherein the spring clip 6 has a fixed to be connected to the first side wall 2 of the container end 4. This end 4 of the spring clip 6 is formed by an integrally formed snap element 4 for receiving in a complementary recess in the first side wall 2. In the central region of the spring clip 6 between the snap element 4 and the free end 3, a grip element 5 is integrally formed on the spring clip 6. In essence, the handle member 5 is formed by an oval handle 5 with rounded, bead-like edges 10, with an upwardly extending parallel to the side wall 2 panel 8. At the free end 3 of the spring clip 6 is a locking lug 3 is formed, which is to snap into a is determined on the second side wall arranged locking lug. The locking nose 3 has an inclined surface 7. When folding up a first side wall 2 whose spring clip 6 is pushed up by the aufragenden on the locking lug 3 latching lug a second side wall against the spring force of the spring clip 6 and under construction of restoring forces. In an upright position snaps due to the spring force of the spring clip 6, the locking lug 3 of the first side wall 2 behind the locking lug of the second side wall, whereby the two side walls are locked together.

The FIG. 2 shows a latch bolt 1 in a perspective view with the inside forward. The snap element 4 can be seen on the end of the spring element 6 to be fixedly connected to the side wall 2. The snap element 4 has a latching tongue 9 which is intended to hold the snap element 4 in the first side wall 2.

In the FIG. 3 is a section of a first side wall 2 of the container in the upper corner region seen from the inside in a perspective view. The first side wall 2 is double-walled in the upper corner region. The recesses 15 for receiving the spring clip 6, and the locking bolt 1 is formed by the inner side surface 2 a and by the outer side surface 2 b of the double-walled portion of the first side walls 2. During assembly of the locking bolt 1, this is inserted from the end face 11 of the first side wall 2 into the recess 15 until the snap element 4 snaps into the complementary recess provided for this purpose. In this case, the latching tongue 9 of the snap element 4 engages in the recess 13 in the inner side wall 2a and thereby holds the end of the spring clip 6 firmly. The free end is movable with the locking lug 3 in the recess 15, ie in the plane of the first side wall 2 parallel thereto and can be raised by pushing up or lifting the handle part 5. The inner side surface 2a of the first side wall 2 has a grip hole 12 in the area of the double-walled section. The opening is selected so that the maximum possible pulling up of the handle 5, the locking lug 3 is raised so far that it is out of the detent of the second Latched sidewall, and the first side wall 2 is hinged. The integrally formed on the handle 5 aperture 8 has the task to cover the recess 12 above the handle 5, so that the cavity is completed in the double-walled region of the side wall 2 and a rear engagement in the recess 15 is impossible.

In the FIG. 4 is a section of a first side wall 2 in the upper corner of the outside shown. Evident is the outside 2b of the side wall 2, which is formed in the region of the double-walled section by a closed surface 14. As a result, the grip element 5 is not accessible from the outside. To unlock and collapse the side walls, the handle elements 5 must be operated from the inside.

The collapsible storage and transport containers described at the beginning usually have covers that can be closed with, for example, seals to ensure sensitive goods during transport that the containers can not be opened by unauthorized persons. The inventive container now also has a locking of the hinged side walls, which can only be operated from the inside, ie with the lid open. When the lid is closed, the side walls can not only partially be folded in order to gain unauthorized access to the contents of the container. Thus, these transport containers are provided with a locking of the side walls, which is not manipulatable, and which is easy to manufacture and assemble.
