Die Erfindung kann mit einem Lockenstab als Haarbehandlungsgerät eingesetzt werden. Ein geeigneter Lockenstab ist in Fig. 1 abgebildet. Er weist ein Griffteil 110 auf, welches mit einem Sichtfenster 112 ausgestattet ist. Dieses Sichtfenster 112 dient dazu, den Füllstand einer Gaskartusche sichtbar zu machen. Die vorliegende Erfindung kann also auch mit nicht strombetriebenen Geräten verwendet werden, nämlich beispielsweise mit gasgetriebenen, die etwa durch katalytische Gasverbrennung eine Heizleistung erzeugen. Das Gerät weist einen Schalter 120 auf, welcher als Ein-/Ausschalter dient. Es ist im Prinzip auch denkbar, dass der Schalter die Auswahl mehr als einer vorgegebenen Anfangstemperatur erlaubt. Mit Hilfe des Bedienhebels 136 kann die Klammer 134 vom Zylinderstab 132 gelöst werden und zu lockendes Haar wird zwischen Zylinderstab 132 und Klammer 134 eingelegt. Die Anbringung von mindestens einem Sensor oder auch von zwei Sensoren kommt an verschiedenen Stellen des Lockenstabs 100 in Betracht. Günstig ist insbesondere den Bereich 140 zur Anbringung eines ersten Sensors auszunutzen und alternativ oder zusätzlich den Bereich 142 zur Anbringung eines zweiten Sensors. Beispielsweise kann am Fuß der Luftaustrittselemente 420 der Bereich 440 eines ersten Sensors liegen. Am Ende der Luftaustrittselemente 420 kann der Bereich 442 eines zweiten Sensors liegen. Dort angebrachte Sensoren können beispielsweise wiederum Temperatursensoren sein, so dass eine Temperaturdifferenz gemessen werden kann. Es kommt aber ebenfalls in Betracht, dass eine Feuchtigkeitsdifferenz gemessen werden wird. Aufgrund der entsprechenden Messwerte kann wiederum ein Kennwert erzeugt werden, mit dem die Temperatur des Haartrockners 300 reguliert werden kann.
