Claims (8)
- An apparatus for storing sheet material (BN), in particular value documents such as bank notes and the like, having a transport means (F1, F2) consisting of two foils, and a winding spool (21) with a spool core (21'), the latter being mounted to be rotatable around an axis, wherein the apparatus is adapted to wind up the transport means (F1, F2) on the winding spool (21) so as to thereby enclose sheet material (BN) between the two foils of the transport means (F1, F2) and to wind up and store it on the winding spool (21), wherein the two foils of the transport means (F1, F2) are wound up one over the other on a single dispensing spool (20) having a spool core (20'), the latter being mounted to be rotatable around an axis, and can be unwound from the dispensing spool (20), characterized by a device for a length compensation between first foil (F1) and second foil (F2) which compensates a length difference between first foil (F1) and second foil (F2) arising upon unwinding of the two foils (F1, F2) from the dispensing spool (20) and the subsequent winding up of the two foils (F1, F2) with any sheet material (BN) enclosed therebetween.
- The apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that the length compensation device has a deflection roller (11) which is mounted to be movable along a guide (10), wherein the deflection roller (11) is moved along the guide (10) in a first direction (12) so as to compensate a length difference occurring between the two foils (F1, F2).
- The apparatus according to claim 2, characterized in that the deflection roller (11) is biased by a spring so as to effect the compensation of the length difference.
- The apparatus according to any of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the transport means (F1, F2) can be unwound from the winding store so as to release sheet material (BN) enclosed and stored between the foils (F1, F2), whereby the transport means (F1, F2) unwound from the winding spool (21) is wound up on the single dispensing spool (20) and the two foils (F1, F2) are wound up one over the other, and the length compensation device compensates length differences between the two foils (F1, F2).
- The apparatus according to claims 2 and 4, characterized in that the length compensation device compensates length differences between the two foils (F1, F2) through a motion of the deflection roller (11) along the guide (10) in a direction opposite the first direction (12).
- The apparatus according to any of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the dispensing spool (20) and the winding spool (21) are driven.
- The apparatus according to claim 6, characterized in that the dispensing spool (20) and the winding spool (21) are driven respectively by a motor, in particular a step motor.
- The apparatus according to claim 7, characterized in that one of the motors drives the dispensing spool (20) or the winding spool (21), whereas the respective other motor produces a braking force.
