  • the gap or incisions 19 are arranged substantially over the greater part of the thickness of mattress 2, and further extend over the whole thickness.
  • Fig. 4 shows an embodiment of the present invention the body being embedded in foam core 2 of mattress 2 beneath wave part 24.
  • Extending beneath the device or body 3 is a leg 41 of the material of mattress core 2, with a locking protrusion 42 at the free outer end, which falls into a receiving recess 43 in the wave part of core 2 of mattress 2 in the unexpanded state of the device or body 3.
  • Fig. 5 shows an embodiment of the present invention, wherein the corner edge 38 of wave part 24 is chamfered in order to bring about a more gradual progression of the outer side of the assembly according to the invention, where a relatively sharp corner would otherwise occur.
  • a simplified embodiment of the folding means is further incorporated in the view of the embodiment in fig. 5 .
  • a tensioning cable is here not arranged through the interior of the device, but simply from the outer top corner of device 3 to corner 35 on wave part 24 between the device and the wave part.
  • the upward oriented point 37 of body 3 is arranged with a fastening on the adjacent point of wave part 24 in order to improve the operation of the folding means still further.
  • the tensioning cable can be elastic and then be fastened to a bottom point of a stationary part of mattress 2 (or at least the mattress core of mattress 2).
  • an inelastic or elastic cable also achieves that sides of the body 3 do not bulge excessively.
  • a covering can be arranged round at least wedge-shaped body 3.
  • a covering can take the form of a sleeve which can be detachable.
  • a sleeve can in particular be arranged fixedly on device 3 and be removable, for instance be formed from a smooth or at least sealing plastic, or be releasable to enable separate cleaning thereof, for instance in a washing line or laundry of a hospital.
  • Bodies 3 do not have to be hollow, let alone inflatable, but can be solid and filled with a gel or other substance, or be formed from foam or the like.
  • the device can also be applied in a manner other than solely in combination with a mattress, for instance in combination with a seat, for instance of a chair, etc.

Claims (10)

  1. Ensemble, comprenant :
    un élément (2) définissant une surface d'appui ou de support, telle qu'une couche de mousse formant un noyau d'un matelas, et
    un dispositif associé à l'élément (2) destiné à adapter la forme de la surface d'appui ou de support sous forme d'ondes,
    lequel dispositif comprend au moins un corps pouvant être expansé et/ou compressé de manière sélective (3), dans lequel le corps (3) agit sur une partie d'onde (24) de l'élément (2) afin de provoquer de manière sélective des ondes autour de la surface d'appui ou de support,
    caractérisé en ce que
    la partie d'onde (24) de l'élément (2) est reliée au moyen d'une configuration pouvant pivoter à d'autres parties de l'élément (2), dans lequel le corps (3) est noyé dans une partie (24) de l'élément (2) qui est en appui inférieur au cours de l'utilisation et comprend au-dessus au moins une plus grande partie (24) de l'épaisseur de l'élément (2),
    la configuration pouvant pivoter de l'élément (2) comprend au moins une incision (19) s'étendant vers le haut à partir du corps (3) vers une position au-dessous de la surface d'appui ou de support, et l'élément (2) peut être adapté localement au niveau du corps (3) à la forme définie par le corps (3) dans lequel l'incision (19) s'étend latéralement parallèlement à la surface d'appui ou de support formant une patte (41) s'étendant au-dessous du corps (3).
  2. Ensemble selon la revendication 1, dans lequel le corps (3) est d'une section transversale sensiblement en forme de coin en position d'utilisation.
  3. Ensemble selon la revendication 1 ou 2, dans lequel, dans l'état expansé du corps (3) la partie d'onde de l'élément (2) forme, en section transversale, un angle compris entre 5 et 45 degrés avec les autres parties de l'élément.
  4. Ensemble selon la revendication 1, 2 ou 3, dans lequel le corps (3) peut être gonflé.
  5. Ensemble selon au moins l'une des revendications précédentes, comprenant, en outre, une pompe (4) qui est ou peut être raccordée au corps (3) et peut être commandée avec un dispositif de commande (6), dans lequel le dispositif de commande (6) comprend un moyen d'activation destiné à être activé par un utilisateur.
  6. Ensemble selon la revendication 5, dans lequel le moyen d'activation peut être tenu à la main et communique à distance avec la pompe (4) au cours de l'utilisation.
  7. Ensemble selon la revendication 5 ou 6, dans lequel la pompe (4) est raccordée sensiblement en permanence au corps (3).
  8. Ensemble selon au moins la revendication 4, dans lequel une vanne de sortie pouvant être commandée de manière sélective (10, 11) est raccordée au corps.
  9. Ensemble selon au moins l'une des revendications précédentes, dans lequel une housse ou une couche de toile à matelas (30) est agencée autour de l'ensemble, dont au moins certaines parties s'étendant le long des surfaces latérales orientées vers le bas à partir de la surface d'appui ou de support sont élastiques.
  10. Ensemble selon au moins l'une des revendications précédentes, dans lequel le corps (3) comprend des moyens de pliage destinés à mettre le corps sous une forme compacte dans un état compressé de celui-ci, dans lequel les moyens de pliage comprennent des câbles tendeurs (35 à 37), et dans lequel les câbles tendeurs (35 à 37) sont, de préférence, élastiques.
