- a predetermined breaking point for example a constriction on the ampoule.
- the breakage succeeds by the dentist or doctor bending the ampoule by hand at the appropriate location.
- the useful portion of the ampoule is not set up or turned off, so that the doctor or dentist with a partial consumption of the liquid the Nutzabites without further ado puts on a pad, in the hope that by the cohesion of the liquid and the reduced diameter outlet opening at the Constriction of the predetermined breaking point no liquid emerges.
- ampoule holders which serve as protection for the ampoule.
- Such a solution can be, for example, the DE 691 10 145 T remove.
- an asymmetric recording of the ampoule is provided in the vial breaker.
- the vial breaker completely surrounds the ampoule. It is basically formed in two parts and consists of a main body for receiving the Nutzabitess and a cap for receiving the head portion. The cap is asymmetrical to the head portion, and for insertion the ampoule must be pressed to a certain point so that the predetermined breaking point substantially coincides with the dividing line between the cap and the body.
- ampoule holders and ampoule protection devices have become known.
- the somewhat newer one is exemplary in this context US 6,540,125 directed. This solution is quite dependent on the skill of the managing physician or dentist.

- the main body 14 also has a projection 48, which allows the height determination for the useful portion 44 and thus the glass ampoule 40.
- the filling of the ampoule breaking aid 10 with the glass ampoule 40 is carried out so that when the cap 12 is removed, the ampoule 40 is pressed into the main body 14 without further ado, and then the head section 12 is placed so that it overlaps the head section 42.
- the useful portion 44 is positively received in the base body 14 or with a detent not shown here. The same applies to the inclusion of the head portion 42 in the cap 12th
- a viewing slot 50 is laterally formed in the base body 14, which makes it possible to determine the filling height of the Nutzabitess 44 from the outside.
- the body 14 also has an enlarged footprint 52 below which serves to ensure that the liquid-filled utility portion 44 does not accidentally tip over.
- the ampoule-breaking aid 10 according to the invention also benefits the overall conical design of the two parts of the ampoule-breaking aid 10.
- Fig. 7 It can be seen in which way via elastic projections 54 of the head portion 42 (see Fig. 5 ) can be held in the cap 12.
- an inserted sealing ring 56 may be provided, which also provides an elastic support for the head portion and thus the glass ampoule 40.
- Fig. 8 shows that a similar sealing ring 58 can also be realized in the lower region of the base body 14.
- a sealing ring which may for example consist of plastic or rubber, an elastic frictional connection is generated, which reliably prevents the glass ampoule 44 in each of its two sections from slipping out of the ampoule breaking aid.
- the viewing slit 50 can extend over almost the entire height of the main body 14.
- the footprint 52 has a width which corresponds almost to the height of the main body 14.
- Fig. 10 shows how an ampule 40 can be received with a substantially no head portion 42 according to the invention.
- the cap 12 is also significantly reduced in this embodiment and the predetermined breaking point is located just below the upper end of the glass ampoule 40.
- the ampoule breaker can also be referred to as ampoule protection.

Description
For the safe storage of liquids against contamination, ampoules of glass have been found to completely surround the liquid. In contrast to a bottle such ampoules do not have a lid or other closure. For opening, rather, the upper part of the ampoule, the so-called head section, is abruptly broken off, and the useful liquid is then available in the lower part of the ampoule, the so-called useful section. Such ampoules can, for example, in the pharmaceutical field, but especially for dental applications, to provide the required liquid in the required small amount inexpensively.
The breaking off of the head section expediently takes place via a predetermined breaking point, for example a constriction on the ampoule. Typically, the breakage succeeds by the dentist or doctor bending the ampoule by hand at the appropriate location. However, the useful portion of the ampoule is not set up or turned off, so that the doctor or dentist with a partial consumption of the liquid the Nutzabschnitt without further ado puts on a pad, in the hope that by the cohesion of the liquid and the reduced diameter outlet opening at the Constriction of the predetermined breaking point no liquid emerges.
Some doctors and dentists consider breaking the glass ampoule by hand as a risk and are worried that they will injure themselves if the ampoule breaks in an undesirable place. Somewhat more relevant in practice is the fact that there is usually a sharp-edged glass rim at the predetermined breaking point, which actually brings with it a certain risk of injury.
Although this solution is basically good for the protection of the ampoule suitable. A disadvantage of this solution, however, is that in practice a breaking at a defect, so not just at the predetermined breaking point, is not excluded. This may even lead to glass particles splintering and possibly getting into the liquid, or otherwise contribute to injuries. This is particularly undesirable and dangerous, because even in ampoules recorded ampoules is easily overlooked that a small piece of glass is missing. The dentist or doctor also has no way to determine by holding the head section and the Nutzabschnitts, whether a glass particle has been lost, because the ampoule holder or the Ampoule Breaker hides the glass ampoule constantly or almost completely.
In contrast, the invention has for its object to provide an ampoule aid according to the preamble of claim 1, which is more reliable to use, inexpensive to manufacture and ergonomically improved.
Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß durch Anspruch 1 gelöst. Vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen ergeben sich aus den Unteransprüchen. This object is achieved by claim 1. Advantageous developments emerge from the subclaims.
According to the invention, it is provided that the base body has a projection which allows the height setting for the useful portion and thus the glass halves, so that the useful portion is supported in the base body and the bottom side and in particular backlash-free and held by frictional engagement in this, so that the useful portion at Pouring a recorded in the Nutzabschnitt liquid remains in the body.
It is envisaged to provide the vial breaker with a defined pivot bearing, which ensures a secure guidance of the head section and useful section. The exact height determination of the glass ampoule against the vial breaker is thus ensured that the buckling action is always active at the same point, namely at the predetermined breaking point of the ampoule, so that a break with splinter effect is almost certainly ruled out.
It is particularly favorable that a targeted and guided unrolling of the head section and the useful section towards one another or against each other can be realized by the axis of rotation with the rotary bearing. This allows the abrupt fracture movement, which requires the overcoming of a resistance to convert into a guided and thus defined extending movement, at the same time ensuring that neither the open cut edges of the cap nor those of the main body project after separation of these.
This can be realized, for example, in that, according to the pivot bearing, a section on its side facing the other section is designed in the manner of a socket and the other in the manner of a joint head. The axis of rotation always runs across the ampoule and through the predetermined breaking point. In the direction of the longitudinal axis of the ampoule thereby results in a projection of a portion of the Nutzabschnitts and a portion of the head portion in the direction of the other portion, since they interlock in this respect.
This implies that the cut edges and interfaces each jump back relative to the foremost points of the sections, so that in this respect a protected reception of the cut edges is realized.
This is possible with surprisingly simple means; The useful portion and the head portion can each be realized from a low-cost plastic material, which also additionally allows a certain damping function for vibrations, so that the existing glass ampoule is better protected.
In an advantageous embodiment, it is possible to define the height position of the ampoule relative to the ampoule breaking aid by means of projections which ensure that the axis of rotation runs exactly through the predetermined breaking point. A substantially circular-symmetrical configuration or a configuration with ribs which extend in a circular manner is preferred so that a uniform support of the ampoule takes place inwardly.
In addition, a type of safety catch of the glass ampoule is preferably provided in its base body from the Nutzabschnitt. This can be realized by a resilient locking lug, which prevents the useful portion from accidentally leaves the base body after breaking the predetermined breaking point.
On the other hand, it is particularly advantageous if the base itself is stable and has at its base, for example, a ratio of at most 1: 2 to the height of the body. The stability is given by particularly good measure, and it is also possible to provide small feet that spread away to the outside, or to attach a protruding bead to save material to achieve the desired stability.
It is particularly favorable according to the invention that the pivot bearing is formed by matching arc sections on the end faces of the cap and base body, wherein the convex arc section is formed in particular on the base body.
According to the invention, it is particularly favorable that the cap and the base body have supporting surfaces on their mutually facing end faces which limit the rotational movement of the pivot bearing and that the pivoting mobility of the bearing is in particular less than +/- 30 °, preferably less than +/- 20 ° and more preferably limited to about +/- 10 °.
According to the invention it is particularly favorable that the base body and / or the cap is formed of a more elastic and in particular also softer material than the glass ampoule, in particular of elastically adjusted plastic.
According to the invention, it is particularly favorable that the base body has a footprint over which the glass ampoule accommodated in the ampoule breaking aid stands securely, even when the head section is broken off, and that the base body tapers in a tapered manner, in particular starting from the base surface towards the pivot bearing.
According to the invention, it is particularly favorable that the standing surface has an outwardly pointing projection, in particular a peripheral bead.
According to the invention, it is particularly favorable that the head section and the useful section have inner contours and outer contours which match one another on the rotary bearing.
According to the invention, it is particularly favorable for the base body and / or the cap to have aprons on their mutually facing end faces which serve to support the base body and cap transversely to the direction of the axis of rotation of the pivot bearing.
According to the invention, it is particularly favorable that the main body has a fill level indicator, in particular a vertical viewing slot, which shows the liquid level of the useful liquid stored in the useful portion.
According to the invention, it is particularly favorable that the head section is received in the cap, in particular by frictional engagement, and that the cap has an in particular tapered inner contour.
According to the invention, it is particularly favorable that the cap has at least one projection pointing radially inwardly for the support of the head section.
According to the invention, it is particularly favorable that the base body and the cap surround the glass ampoule completely, possibly leaving windows behind it.
According to the invention it is particularly favorable that the base body and the cap are formed in two parts and are absorbed in broken state of the glass ampoule both the Nutzabschnitt in the body and the head portion in the cap ever sunk, so that the predetermined breaking point of the glass ampoule against the end faces of the cap and base body is arranged substantially ever sunk.
It is particularly advantageous according to the invention that a projection pointing from the ampoule-breaking aid to the glass ampoule is provided, which supports the glass ampoule and fixes the relative height of the ampoule in the ampoule-breaking aid.
