Abstract

Description

The invention relates to hair band with the features of the preamble of claim 1.

Such a hair band can be used for hair supplement. It may be part of a device for hair supplement, which is adhered to existing hair of a wearer, or directly form such a device by being self-adhesive.

The support structure of a typical hair band has a width of no more than 1 cm and a length of a few centimeters.

STATE OF THE ART

A self-adhesive hair band having the features of the preamble of claim 1 is known from EP 1 642 510 A1 known. Here are the hair knotted together into strands of hair. The knots of the strands of hair lie on the back of an elastic film made of polyurethane, through which the hair of the hair strands extend. The hair is glued both on the back and the front with the film. The known hair band is comparatively thick due to the knots of the hair strands adhered to the back of the film, in particular when gaps between the individual knots are filled with adhesive to achieve a homogeneous thickness of the hair band. The visual appearance of the hair band from the outside does not correspond to the natural appearance of the human scalp due to the stranded emergence of the hair from the film and their coverage with adhesive on the front of the film.

Another hair band is from the DE 20 2005 010 845 U1 known. Here, the hairs are glued parallel to each other to a perpendicular to them extending adhesive tape, in each case over the entire width of the adhesive tape. The hairs on the outside of this known hair band are covered with a matte covering layer and, if they are made of real hair, they are provided with an anti-hygroscopic seal in their area by being glued to the adhesive tape. On the other side of the adhesive tape, the known hair band is directly glued to the hair of the wearer of a hair extension. In this case, the adhesive layer provided here can be replaced. Although this known hair band has a very flat construction, it is also associated with a relatively low production cost, but it also does not have the appearance of naturally hairy human scalp.

Furthermore, hair bands are known in which individual hair are linked to a carrier network. The carrier mesh can be glued to its back with an intermediate film on which in turn a double-sided adhesive tape can be applied. In any case, the tying of the hair to the net is extremely complex and, moreover, results in an opposite orientation of the end of each hair deflected when knotting. Here, the scales of the hair of human hair have an opposite orientation to the scales of the desired long hair sections and the naturally existing hair of a wearer of a hair extension and thus result in a tendency to matt the hair at the base of the hair band. In addition, the effective thickness of the hair band due to the attachment of the hair to the network is large, and the cutting of the network in any dimensions is not possible without jeopardizing its integrity. On closer inspection, it is also noticeable that the individual hair attached to the net does not give the impression of a naturally hairy human scalp.

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

The invention has the object of demonstrating a hair band with the features of the preamble of claim 1, which can be produced on the one hand with reasonable effort and on the other hand on its outer side has an appearance that comes as close as possible to the naturally hairy human scalp.

SOLUTION

According to the invention the object is achieved by a hair band with the features of independent claim 1. Preferred embodiments of the new hair band are defined in the dependent claims 2 to 15.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

In the new hair band, the ends of individual hairs are pierced by the elastic film forming the outer layer of the support structure and fixed to the support structure only by adhering to the film on the back side thereof, with the hairs extending on the back side of the film in the main direction. DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES

Claims (15)

A hair band (1) comprising a strip-shaped carrier structure (2) and comprising several hairs (4) which extend from the carrier structure (2) in a main direction (5) running perpendicular to the direction (3) of main extension of the carrier structure (2), ends (8) of the hairs fixed to the carrier structure (2) extending through an elastic foil (6) and being glued to the back side of the foil (6), characterised in that the ends (8) of single hairs (4) are stitched through the foil (6) forming the outer layer of the carrier structure (2) and are fixed to the carrier structure (2) by gluing them to the back side of the foil (6) only, the hairs (4), at the back side of the foil (6), running in the main direction (5).

11. The hair band of claim 10, characterised in that the cover layer (10) is a single-layered cover netting (11).
12. The hair band of any of the claims 1 to 11, characterised in that an adhesive layer is provided at the back side of the carrier structure (2).
13. The hair band of claim 12, characterised in that the adhesive layer is provided with a removable cover layer (13).
14. The hair band of claim 12 or 13, characterised in that the adhesive layer is removable.
15. The hair band of claim 14, characterised in that the adhesive layer is made of a continuous glue strip (12) adhesive at both faces.
