Description

The invention relates to a luminaire which has a luminaire housing, by means of which a light exit region is defined, and a transparent cover, which is arranged in the light exit region, wherein a gap is formed between the cover and the luminaire housing.

In such a lamp, there is the problem that dirt particles, insects or the like can pass through the gap and then attach from the inside to the cover. The light emission from the cover then usually has undesirable irregularities. In addition, fastening elements are generally provided for fastening the cover to the luminaire housing, which fastening elements can generally be visible through the gap. This also suffers the appearance of the lamp.

It should be noted in this context that the said gap is unavoidable from a technical point of view, because the thermal expansion of the lamp housing is usually different from that of the cover. Usually, such a cover made of plastic and a corresponding lamp housing made of metal. In addition, the gap due to manufacturing tolerances of said components luminaire housing and cover can not be practically avoided. The gap is also useful for assembly reasons.

From the DE 35 44 306 A1 is a luminaire with a luminaire housing and a translucent cover known. At the edge of the cover a seal is attached along a bar.

From the DE 296 04 137 U1 An auxiliary headlight for vehicles is known in which a sealing ring is arranged in a gap between a housing and a transparent cover.

From the DE 20 2005 019 174 U1 is known a recessed ceiling light, which has a cover with an inwardly directed web on which a seal is applied.

The present invention is based on the object to provide a generic lamp in which the external appearance of the lamp is less susceptible to interference.

This object is achieved according to the invention by the lamp mentioned in the independent claim. Particular embodiments of the invention are indicated in the dependent claims.

According to the invention, a luminaire is provided which has a luminaire housing, by means of which a light exit area is defined, and a transparent cover, which is arranged in the light exit area. In this case, a gap is formed between the cover and the lamp housing. Furthermore, the lamp has an annularly closed sealing lip, which is arranged between the cover and the lamp housing.

By the sealing lip, an inner region of the lamp housing can be sealed to the outside, so that no dirt particles, insects, etc. can penetrate. In addition, can be prevented by the sealing lip when viewing the lamp from the outside, that fasteners are visible. The appearance of the lamp in an area around the cover around can thus be particularly even. A shadowing by fasteners or the like can be avoided.

Furthermore, it can be achieved by the sealing lip, that the cover with respect to the surrounding luminaire housing is positioned as centrally as possible, so "averaged out". This is advantageous not only in terms of the appearance of the lamp, but also in terms of the mechanical support of the cover to the lamp housing.

Furthermore, can be prevented by the sealing lip crackling noise that can occur in conventional connections between the cover and the lamp housing in the event of temperature changes and associated changes in shape of the affected components.

In addition, it can be ensured by the sealing lip and a holder of the cover to the lamp housing.

The cover has a web which extends circumferentially along the edge of the cover, wherein the sealing lip is arranged on the web or rests against the web. The web stands from the rest of the cover in a direction that faces an inner region of the lamp housing. With reference to a viewing of the luminaire from the outside, the sealing lip can thereby be arranged recessed inwards; this contributes to a positive visual appearance of the luminaire.

The web has holding elements for holding the cover to the lamp housing. The holder of the cover can thereby be designed in a simple manner so that it does not affect the appearance of the lamp.

The support members are arranged on the web further away from the rest of the cover than the sealing lip so that is prevented by the sealing lip when viewing the lamp from the outside and through the gap, that the support members are visible. In this way, the holder of the cover can be formed independently of the sealing lip and thus, for example, make it particularly easy to handle.

The web is offset from the outer edge by a small amount inwardly with respect to the rest of the cover, wherein the small dimension is not greater than the width of the sealing lip. This makes it possible to achieve that the web is not visible from the outside through the gap. In addition, this can obscure any attachment area of the sealing lip on the web. Also can be in this way the sealing lip wider and thus particularly soft or flexible designed so that they are when inserting The cover in the luminaire housing can be well deformed and irregularities can compensate particularly well. The sealing lip can thus be formed particularly well in this way so that it can close the dimensions of the gap - which can vary relatively widely along the gap - well and the pressure built up thereby is kept as low as possible. Furthermore, this makes the visible width of the gap can be made particularly small, so that the gap in the outer appearance of the lamp does not dominate too much.

Advantageously, the cover on the side opposite the web, in a region opposite the web, a structuring, which preferably extends to the nearest edge of the cover. In this way, the area in which the web is connected to the rest of the cover, good optical conceal.

Advantageously, the lamp further comprises a reflector which is arranged in the interior of the lamp housing, wherein the reflector extends to the web. This contributes to a particularly uniform and effective radiation can be achieved. In this case, the reflector can be advantageously fixed to the web.

Advantageously, the connection between the web and the rest of the cover in at least one area is interrupted by a slot. This makes it easy to arrange an optical element, for example in the form of a film by sliding through the slot on the inside of the cover.

Advantageously, the sealing lip is arranged on the cover, for example on the web, or on the lamp housing. For example, it can be provided that the sealing lip is connected by means of a two-component injection technology with the web or with the lamp housing.

Advantageously, the sealing lip is light, preferably light gray. As a result, a particularly inconspicuous transition in the appearance of the lamp between the region of the cover and a surrounding area is made possible.

Advantageously, the gap is surrounded by a lamp frame. As a result, a particularly uniform transition in the appearance of the lamp from the cover to the outside is possible.

Advantageously, in this case, the lamp frame has a wall with a surface normal, which forms an angle with the normal of the plane of the light exit region, which is greater than 0 ° and less than 90 °, preferably greater than 10 ° and less than 80 °, for example 45 ° , In this way, it can be achieved that this wall is markedly illuminated by light which passes through the cover to the outside, so that the said transition in appearance can be further made particularly uniform.

In Fig. 1 an embodiment of a lamp according to the invention is shown. Fig. 2 shows a corresponding cross section through the lamp. The luminaire comprises a luminaire housing 2, by which a light exit region of the luminaire is fixed. In the light exit region, a transparent cover 4 is arranged.

The luminaire housing 2 can - as out Fig. 1 emerges - be box-shaped or cuboid-shaped overall, wherein the light exit region is formed by an open side of the box or the cuboid. The luminaire housing 2 can be designed to be installed, so that it represents a luminaire a recessed light. For example, it can be provided that the luminaire is a recessed ceiling luminaire.

As in Fig. 2 indicated, an inner region I of the lamp housing 2 is delimited by the cover 4 of an outer region A of the lamp. In the inner region I of the lamp housing 2, a light source 8 is arranged. Light that can be emitted from the lamp 8, can hit the cover 4, pass through the cover 4 and get into the outer region A.

The luminaire may in particular be a recessed luminaire, for example a recessed ceiling luminaire. It can be provided that the luminaire housing 2 is at least mostly installed in a ceiling and in the installed state, the cover 4 is arranged at least substantially in a plane with the surrounding ceiling.

The cover 4 may be an optical cover or an optical element which serves to influence light passing through in a targeted manner. For example, the cover 4 structures, for example in the form of microprisms, for influencing the light.

Die Abdeckung 4 kann insbesondere einstückig ausgebildet sein. The cover 4 may in particular be formed in one piece.

Through the lamp housing 2, a lamp frame 6 may further be formed, which is arranged around the cover 4 around and which is visible from the outside when viewing the lamp.

In Fig. 3 is the in Fig. 2 marked area enlarged shown sketched. Here it can be seen that between the cover 4 and the lamp housing 2, a gap 10 is formed. This gap 10 is used inter alia, thermally induced, different degrees of shape or size changes of light housing 2 on the one hand and cover 4 on the other hand. In addition, the gap 10 is practically unavoidable due to manufacturing tolerances in the said components.

The gap 10 may be provided, for example, at the transition between the lamp frame 6 and the rest of the luminaire housing 2.

The luminaire also has a sealing lip 12, which is arranged between the cover 4 and the luminaire housing 2. The sealing lip 12 extends along the edge 20 of the cover 4 in an annular closed around. In this way, the inner region I of the luminaire housing 2 can be sealed off from the outer region A by the sealing lip 12. In this way, it is possible to achieve that no dirt particles, flies or the like pass through the gap 10 into the inner region I of the luminaire housing 2, subsequently accumulate on the cover 4 and thus lead to irregularities in the appearance of the cover 4.

The cover 4 preferably has a web 14 which extends circumferentially along the edge 20 of the cover 4, wherein the sealing lip 12 is arranged on the web 14 or sealingly abuts against the web 14. In the example shown, the sealing lip 12 is arranged fixed to the web 14 and seals against the lamp housing 2.

In particular, it can be provided that the luminaire housing 2 has lateral walls, wherein the sealing lip 12 is arranged fixed on the side walls or - as in Fig. 3 shown - sealing against the side walls.

The web 14 preferably has only a small height. For example, it can be provided that the extent of the web 14 viewed from the surface of the remaining cover 4 from a maximum of 10% of the extension of the lamp housing 2 in the direction of the normal of the plane of the light exit region.

How out Fig. 3 recognizable, the web 14 is arranged such that it protrudes from the remaining cover 4 in a direction facing the inner region I of the lamp housing 2 out. In the case of a recessed ceiling light, the web 14 can therefore project "upwards" from the remaining cover 4. The sealing lip 12 may be arranged extending horizontally in the first approximation in the case of a ceiling light.

The sealing lip 12 may be formed so that it ensures a support of the cover 4 on the lamp housing 2. In this case, it is advantageous to arrange the lamp housing 2 corresponding rear or the like, which cooperate with the sealing lip 12 in the sense of a holder of the cover 4.

For holding the cover 4 2 other support members are provided on the lamp housing. Preferably, a latching connection for holding the cover 4 is provided on the lamp housing 2, so that the cover 4 can be easily used on the lamp housing 2. The web 14 has for this purpose mounting elements 16.

The support members 16 are arranged on the web 14 such that they are farther away from the rest of the cover 4 than the sealing lip 12. In other words, the support members 16 are arranged on the web 14 with respect to the sealing lip 12 of the remaining cover 4 opposite , In this way it is possible that the sealing lip 12 is not affected by the support members 16 in their effect. In addition, can be in this way - for example by means of a resilient latching connection for holding the cover 4 on the lamp housing 2 - - achieve that the cover 4 can be particularly easy with respect to the handling of the rest of the lamp and also released from this.

In Fig. 4 is a sketch of another section shown in perspective. The corresponding section passes through a region of the luminaire housing 2, in which holding elements 18 for holding the cover 4 on the luminaire housing 2 are arranged, which cooperate with said holding elements 16, which are arranged on the web 14. For example - as in Fig. 4 shown by way of example - be provided that arranged on the lamp housing 2 support members 18 are spring elements which engage under the housing 4 for supporting the cover 4 projections, which are formed by the support members 16 which are arranged on the web 14. As is known per se, the support elements 18 on the lamp housing 2 can not circulating, but only isolated, so be provided "partially"; it can therefore be formed partial spring closures.

The support elements 16, 18 are arranged on the side of the sealing lip 12, which is opposite to the remaining cover 4 and the light exit region. In this way, can be achieved by the sealing lip 12, that the points where the support members 14, 16 are, when viewing the lamp from the outside are practically not visible. This contributes to an overall advantageous appearance of the luminaire.

Advantageously, the web 14 with respect to the cover 4 offset from the outer edge 20 of the cover 4 a small amount of a inwardly offset. The small dimension a is not greater than the width of the sealing lip 12. This makes it possible in particular to achieve that the web 14 is not visible from the outside through the gap 10. In addition, a corresponding small offset of the web 14 from the edge 20 in the direction of the center of the cover 4 - ie with respect to the cover 4 to "inside" - advantageous if the sealing lip 12 is arranged fixed to the web 14. For example, it can be provided that the sealing lip 12 is connected to the web 14 by means of a two-component injection technology. In this way, a bead-shaped fastening portion 22 may be formed, which is then not visible due to the correspondingly selected offset of the web 14 by the dimension a from the outside.

In addition, by the said offset of the web 14 by the small amount a, the sealing lip 12 can be designed to be particularly wide and thus particularly soft or flexible, so that it can be well deformed when the cover 4 is inserted into the lamp housing 2. The sealing lip 12 can be formed particularly well in this way so that it can close the dimensions of the gap 10 - which can vary relatively widely along the gap - well and the pressure built up thereby is kept as low as possible. Furthermore, this allows the visible width of the gap 10 to be made particularly small, so that the gap 10 in the outer appearance of the lamp does not dominate too much.

As in Fig. 4 shown, the cover 4 advantageously on its, the web 14 opposite side - with reference to the illustration of Fig. 4 that is, on its downwardly facing side - in a region opposite the web 14, a structuring 24; in Fig. 4 This structuring 24 is only indicated very schematically or simplified. The structuring 24 may be, for example, prismatic recesses or elevations. The structuring 24 preferably extends to the nearest edge 20 of the cover 4. By providing such a structuring 24, a region 26 in which the web 14 is connected to the remaining cover 4 can be optically concealed, so that when the luminaire is viewed from the outside of the web 14 as such is practically not recognizable. The structuring 24 may be part of a general structuring of the cover 4.

Advantageously, the lamp further comprises a reflector 28 which is arranged in the interior I of the lamp housing 2, wherein the reflector 28 extends to the web 14. This contributes to a particularly uniform and effective radiation can be achieved. In this case, the reflector 28 may advantageously be fixed directly to the web 14. For example, it may be attached or clamped to the upper edge of the web 14. The reflector 28 may - as for example Fig. 2 emerges - be designed curved so that it spans the bulb 8. Preferably, it may be formed by a white film.

How out Fig. 6 it can be provided that the connection between the web 14 and the remaining cover 4 is interrupted in at least one region by a slot 30. This makes it easy to arrange an optical element 32, for example in the form of a film, by pushing it laterally through the slot 30 on the inside of the cover 4.

Like from the FIGS. 1 . 2 and 5 It can be provided that the cover 4 has a partial region 34, for example a central region, which has different optical properties than the remaining region of the cover 4. The partial region 34 can protrude further outwards than the one shown in the figures the remaining areas of the cover 4. The portion 34 may have the optical element 32, for example in the form of a diffusely radiating film, a grid, or the like on the side of the cover 4 facing inward I; the remaining or adjacent areas of the cover 4 may be provided, for example, with a microprism structure. By means of said slot 30, it can be achieved that the optical element 32 can simply be inserted from the side into the cover 4 for mounting purposes. The slot 30 can therefore be arranged accordingly in particular in the region of the protruding portion 34 of the cover 4.

The sealing lip 12 may - as mentioned - be fixed to the cover 4, for example, on the web 14 or on the lamp housing 2. For example, it can be provided that the sealing lip 12 is connected by means of a two-component injection technology with the web 14 or with the lamp housing 2.

Due to refraction of light on or in the cover 4, a certain small part of the light originating from the luminous means 8 will as a rule reach the sealing lip 12 and illuminate it. A particularly advantageous optical effect can be achieved when the sealing lip 12 is designed bright, preferably light gray. As a result, a particularly inconspicuous transition in the appearance of the lamp between the region of the cover 4 and the surrounding area is made possible.

Advantageously, the gap 10 is surrounded by the lamp frame 6. As a result, a particularly uniform transition in the appearance of the lamp axles from the cover 4 to the outside is possible.

How out Fig. 3 becomes clear, while the lamp frame 6 has a wall 36 with a surface normal N1 , which forms an angle with the normal N2 of the plane of the light exit region, which is greater than 0 ° and less than 90 °, preferably greater than 10 ° and less than 80 °, for example - as in Fig. 3 indicated - 45 °. In this way, it can be achieved that this "oblique" wall 36 in this sense is significantly illuminated by light that passes through the cover 4 to the outside occurs so that the said transition in the appearance of the luminaire can continue to be designed particularly uniform.

How out Fig. 6 As can be seen, the portion 34 of the cover 4 of the slope of the wall 36 can be adapted to extend with respect to the cover 4 further outwardly than the remaining cover 4, for example up to the wall 36; the same applies to the optical element 32.

wherein the cover (4) has a web (14) which extends circumferentially along the edge (20) of the cover (4), wherein the sealing lip (12) is arranged on the web (14) or rests against the web (14),
wherein the web (14) protrudes from the rest of the cover (4) in a direction pointing to an inner region (I) of the luminaire housing (2),
wherein the web (14) has holding elements (16) to hold the cover (4) on the luminaire housing (2), and wherein the holding elements (16) on the web (14) are arranged further away from the rest of the cover (4) than the sealing lip (12), to prevent that the holding elements (16) are visible through the sealing lip (12) looking at the lamp from outside and through the gap (10).
  2. A luminaire according to claim 1,
in which the web (14), in relation to the rest of the cover (4), is arranged so as to be inwardly offset from the outer edge (20) by a small measure (a), wherein the small measure (a) is not greater than the width of the sealing lip (12).
  3. A luminaire according to one of the preceding claims, in which the cover (4) has on the side lying opposite the web (14), that is, in a region lying opposite the web (14), a structuring (24) preferably extending as far as the nearest edge (20) of the cover (4).
  4. A luminaire according to one of the preceding claims, having, furthermore, a reflector (28) that is arranged in the interior (I) of the luminaire housing (2), wherein the reflector (28) extends as far as the web (14).
  5. A luminaire according to claim 4,
in which the reflector (28) is fixed on the web (14).
  6. A luminaire according to one of the preceding claims, in which the connection between the web (14) and the rest of the cover (4) is interrupted by a slot (30) in at least one region.
  7. A luminaire according to one of the preceding claims, in which the sealing lip (12) is arranged in a fixed manner on the cover (4) or on the luminaire housing (2).
  8. A luminaire according to claim 7,
in which the sealing lip (12) is connected to the web (14) or to the luminaire housing (2) by means of two-component injection-moulding technology.
  9. A luminaire according to one of the preceding claims, in which the sealing lip (12) is light, preferably light grey.
  10. A luminaire according to one of the preceding claims, in which the gap (10) is surrounded by a luminaire frame (6).
  11. A luminaire according to claim 10,
in which the luminaire frame (6) has a wall (36) with a surface normal (N1) which with the normal (N2) of the plane of the light-exit region encloses an angle that is greater than 0° and smaller than 90°, preferably greater than 10° and smaller than 80°, for example 45°.
