Definitions
- the invention relates to a hair removal device such as an electric razor or a wet razor or a combination of electric and wet razors.
- Such hair removal devices are known to have about a blade cartridge for wet shaving and / or about a long-hair trimmer for trimming beard, main or body hair.
- Such special elements of a hair removal device are typically exposed exposed to the hair removal device and therefore exposed in a case of the device forces or falling energies when the special element strikes about on the ground.
- Blade cartridges for holding razor blades are known from wet razors ago. Damage to such blade cartridges - such as a razor falling to the bottom - can release the blades and thus lead to a high risk of exposure.
- WO 2005/102623 discloses a razor with razor and trimmer in combination, which also has a handle and a motor.
- the razor blade is provided at one end of the handle.
- the motor drives an element of the trimmer.
- US 2002/0108252 discloses a wet shaver with a handle and a blade cartridge.
- the blade cartridge has a connector with a cavity which can receive an element of the handle.
- US 6,192,586 B1 discloses a wet razor with an elongated handle which can be connected to a respective blade cartridge. On the handle, a mechanism for releasing the blade cartridge is provided.
- a coupling for releasably connecting the special element of the main device element, wherein with respect to at least one given direction of action acting on the special element and thereby acting on the clutch minimum force for releasing the clutch.
- the minimum force which leads to the release of the clutch, can by structural Configuration of the coupling can be adjusted and set as by empirical tests for a given hair removal device so that significant damage to the special element does not occur.
- the releasing of the clutch effecting force typically acts blunt on the special element, that is, for example, it is transmitted from a flat or at most slightly curved object on the special element.
- the coupling can be released (or disengaged) by an applied force (and not a hidden tool-only mechanism must be operated).
- the coupling is designed so that it is under force from as many different directions of action (particularly preferably from all conceivable directions of action over which an exposed arrangement of the special element blunt power transmission to the special element is possible) is opened.
- the coupling consists of a coupling part on the special element and a coupling part on the main device element, wherein the two coupling parts form the coupling in the assembled state of the special element.
- the special element comprising a blade cartridge is coupled to a relatively heavy main device element, without causing the risk that the special element is damaged or destroyed significantly in case of an accidental fall of the hair removal device.
- This is achieved with the help of the releasable coupling, which opens at a minimum force acting, which is below the force leading to significant damage or even destruction of the special element leading force.
- the special element is therefore separated in an impact from the main device element, so that the kinetic energy of the main device element can not be converted into destruction energy at the special element. Upon impact of the hair removal device kinetic energy is converted.
- the kinetic energy is determined by, for example, the weight of the hair removal device and height of fall, if it is a vertical fall, or by known formulas, such as an (unintended) litter.
- the kinetic energy which is converted in an impact, leads to dynamic forces acting on the special element and thus on the coupling, which can not be easily described.
- empirical drop tests or FEM studies can be used to determine at which kinetic energy, for example in the vertical case, the coupling should trigger, so that there is no significant damage to the special element.
- the clutch is designed to disengage the special element from the main device element for a given acting force greater than a minimum force or a given (kinetic) energy greater than a minimum energy.
- the special element may comprise a replaceable blade cartridge.
- blade cartridges it is particularly important to avoid damage so that the blades, for example, can not be released and then pose a risk of injury.
- Significant damage to the user is any damage in which the blade cartridge can no longer be used faultlessly or even with a risk of injury.
- the coupling described leads to a defined, non-destructive and reversible disengagement or uncoupling of the special element of the main device element.
- the Auskuppelkraft so the necessary for disengaging minimum force acting on the coupling is defined by structural design (and may well be different for different directions of action, as long as it is guaranteed that disengaging occurs at forces that are not yet cause significant damage to the special element).
- the main device element contains an electric motor as well as an accumulator and / or a battery as well as possibly a shear foil shaver and / or a long hair trimmer.
- These are relatively heavy components whose weight can hardly be reduced below a given minimum and which in a case of the hair removal device result in a high kinetic energy trap.
- the main device element has a main body and a slide movably mounted thereon, wherein the above-mentioned releasable coupling between the slider and the special element is formed.
- the special element thus participates in the movement of the slider relative to the main device element.
- the slider may in particular be an actuating element (switch) of the hair removal device with which functions of the hair removal device are activated or deactivated.
- the hair removal device is designed such that the base body at least partially conceals the special element in (at least) one position of the slider.
- the special element is then in these positions of the slide constructively protected by the body from shocks from the covered directions.
- the coupling is formed as a snap connection between locking elements on the main device element and on the special element, ie by a positive engagement of the locking elements in the connected state of the main unit element and special element, said state assumed by overcoming a resistance and under partial elastic deformation of the locking elements or can also be left again.
- the mentioned resistance on the size of the undercut, etc.
- the latching elements comprise beads, which can engage behind one another.
- the state of beads engaging behind each other then represents the closed state of the coupling, which can be assumed or left by a successive sliding of the beads.
- the coupling between the main device element and the special element is designed so that it opens in a relative rotation between the main device element and special element.
- acting on the special element torques can be rendered harmless by leading to a separation of the special element from the main unit element.
- the locking elements may optionally at least partially engage in a circle about a predetermined axis of rotation.
- the entire engagement region of the locking elements lies on a circle or on concentric circles about the axis of rotation. This has the advantage that torques acting about the axis of rotation can rotate the latching elements relative to one another along their (circular) engagement line, so that a (limited) rotation of the special element about the axis of rotation is possible.
- the latching elements preferably comprise sliding surfaces which are inclined relative to the axis of rotation and, upon rotation of the latching elements about the axis of rotation, press the latching elements apart axially.
- the hair removal device has a spring element, which is under load in the engaged state of the special element, so that acts between the main unit element and the special element, a spring force that leads to the Auskuppelvorgang that the lighter special element by the expanding spring element of the heavier Main device element is pushed away. Then the special element in an impact is essentially no longer get between the main unit element and the wall or floor and damage by this type of impact is avoided.
- a core element of the invention explained above is the releasable coupling between the main device element and the special element. Since features of this coupling are found both on the main device element and on the special element and these are each separately marketable products, the invention further relates to a main device element or a special element for a hair removal device of the type described above.
- the special element may in particular be integrally formed with a blade cartridge or identical thereto.
- the illustrated hair removal apparatus 100 combines means for electric shaving or hair cutting with wet shaving agents.
- a problem with the design of such a device is that the special element comprising the blade cartridge 40 must be protected from damage that it might experience, for example, in a case of a typical height of about 1.5 meters. Particularly critical in this context would be damages that are not directly visually visible, but could result in subsequent use of the blade cartridge 40 to injury to the user, for example, by excellent blades.
- the total weight in the illustrated embodiment is about 100 - 150 g, damage to the blade cartridge increasingly occurs until the hair removal device 100 is dropped from about 1.5 m height to the ground.
- Such a case corresponds to a falling energy of about 1.5 - 2.2 J.
- the measures described below in more detail for the protection of the special element from damage in a traps are described to the ground.
- a first protective mechanism for the special element and thus especially for the blade cartridge 40 is achieved in that the special element is attached to the slider 20, which relative to the base body 10 a lowest target position ( FIG. 1a ), a middle target position ( FIG. 1 b) and a top target position ( FIG. 1c) can accept.
- the blade cartridge 40 is retracted and protected by the long-hair trimmer 11 of the base body 10 in a case with respect to the covered impact directions.
- a coupling that is designed in its strength so that it opens at minimum forces or minimum energy below the forces or energies that cause damage to the special element or lead the blade cartridge 40 (except for this protective effect are case directions in which the dull impact energy acts on the main device element). If the hair removal device 100 therefore falls on the special element, the special element with the blade cartridge 40 separates from the main device element slide 20 and base 10, so that the kinetic energy of the main body of the hair removal device 100 supporting body 10 is no longer destructive to the blade cartridge 40th can lead.
- the release force for the clutch is to be dimensioned so that the charges for the special element remain in a frame that does not cause damage to the blade cartridge 40, and that on the other hand, the special element in a normal shave not unintentionally detached from the slider 20.
- FIG. 1c are indicated in this context by arrows different directions, from which a shock leads to an opening of the clutch.
- the energy of the trap can be additionally absorbed by a yielding or retraction of the slider 20.
- the user can then simply press the special element again as a push button on the slider 20.
- FIGS. 2 to 7 a special embodiment of the coupling between the main device element (here the slider 20 as part of the main device element) and the special element (here the intermediate element 30 as part of the main device element) described, which is a Ringschnappthetic.
- the Figures 2 and 3 show in this context the special element of intermediate element 30 with engaged blade cartridge 40 in the separated state from the slider 20, ie with the clutch open.
- the coupling consists of a coupling part 23 on the main device element and a coupling part 33 on the special element. By showing the opened coupling locking elements 23 on the slider 20 and locking elements 33 on the intermediate element 30 are visible.
- FIG. 4 shows in this regard a section centrally through the locking elements 23 on the slider 20.
- the locking elements comprise in particular two circular segment-shaped about an axis A radially outwardly occidentalende beads 24a, 24b, which are arranged at the end of a raised collar.
- FIG. 5 shows a perspective view of the locking elements 33 on the intermediate element 30 (from which the blade cartridge has been separated), and Figure 6 shows a central section through these locking elements 33. It can be seen that the locking elements 33 are two circular segment extending around an axis A, radially inwardly facing beads 34a and 34b include.
- FIG. 7 shows finally a section through the center of the composite coupling between slider 20 and intermediate member 30. It can be seen that the outwardly facing beads 24a, 24b of the locking elements of the slider and the radially inwardly facing beads 34a, 34b of the locking elements of the intermediate element 30th engage behind form fit, so as to provide for the defined seat of the intermediate element on the slider 20.
- the beads mentioned on the principle of a latch or snap mechanism can slide past each other to establish or release the coupling connection.
- the invention described above using the example of a combined electric and wet shaver can be applied analogously to other hair removal devices, especially in heavy equipment such as pure mechanical wet shaver with steel handles or wood applications or wet shavers with accumulator or battery operation.
- a hair removal device 100 which comprises a main device element 10, 20 and a special element 30, 40 connectable thereto via a releasable coupling 23, 33, there being at least one exposed region in the surface of the special element 30, 40, within which a blunt-acting force without damaging the special element (ie without irreversible change of the special element, which would cause that special element can not be used as intended and in particular lead to injury during use) leads to a release of the clutch , wherein the direction of this force tends to be arbitrary, but in particular can originate from a given solid angle of at least about 0.84 sr (wherein a solid angle of 0.84 sr corresponds approximately to a cone of 60 ° opening angle).
- the coupling is triggered when the direction of the force comes from a solid angle of 3.14 sr or an even larger solid angle.
- the special item is exposed in an Position in each possible case in which a force greater than a minimum force can act on the special element on the coupling, disconnected from the main unit element. Except for the directions of action that lead to uncoupling, can be about the direction of action, which acts in the direction of the displacement path of the slider (or a small space angle cone around this direction of effect). Then, for example, the slide can be designed so that it moves under an effective force from an exposed position to a hidden position and the special element is thus protected from damage.
- a further embodiment of a hair removal device is shown.
- Fig. 8 is a side view of a front portion of the slider 20 of the main device element and the special element 30, 40 to see in the disengaged state.
- a spring element 90 is arranged in the coupling part 23. In a coupled state, the spring element 90 is loaded so that between the main unit element 10, 20 and the special element 30, 40, a spring force acts. The spring force and the direction of the spring force are chosen so that the clutch 23, 33 does not trigger under the spring force. If the special element 30, 40 is now disengaged in an externally acting force, then the spring element 90 is relieved and releases its potential energy very quickly.
- the special element 30, 40 can essentially not pass between the heavy main device element 10, 20 and a wall or the floor, which then, despite the triggering coupling 23, 33, damaging the special element 30, 40 and in particular a blade cartridge 40 can lead.
- the spring element 90 is designed as a helical torsion spring which is anchored in the main device element 10, 20.
- the spring element 90 can also be realized by any other spring (such as a spiral or leaf spring) or an elastomeric spring (such as a rubber element).
- the spring element 90 can also be anchored in the special element 30, 40 or be arranged without anchoring between the main device element 10, 20 and special element 30, 40. It can also be arranged a plurality of spring elements 90 between the main device element 10, 20 and special element 30, 40, wherein about a spring element is anchored to the main device element 10, 20 and a spring element is anchored to the special element 30, 40.
- the spring element 90 can also be arranged so that the spring force acts in a different direction.

Description
The invention relates to a hair removal device such as an electric razor or a wet razor or a combination of electric and wet razors.
Such hair removal devices are known to have about a blade cartridge for wet shaving and / or about a long-hair trimmer for trimming beard, main or body hair. Such special elements of a hair removal device are typically exposed exposed to the hair removal device and therefore exposed in a case of the device forces or falling energies when the special element strikes about on the ground.
Blade cartridges for holding razor blades are known from wet razors ago. Damage to such blade cartridges - such as a razor falling to the bottom - can release the blades and thus lead to a high risk of exposure.
Against this background, it was an object of the present invention to provide a handling-safe combination of a hair removal device with such a special element, in particular a blade cartridge.
This object is achieved by a hair removal device having the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments are contained in the subclaims.
- a) A "main device element" which contains the major part of the total weight of the hair removal device (ie over 50% of the total weight, preferably over 90% of the total weight). According to the known embodiments of hair removal devices, the main device element includes an electric motor and a rechargeable battery or a battery, and in combined hair removal devices additionally also a shaving foil shaver and / or a long-hair trimmer.
- b) A "special item" that can be damaged in a fall of the hair removal device to the ground with a critical trapping energy.
In particular, the special element may comprise an exchangeable blade cartridge in which one or more razor blades for a wet shaving are accommodated. Since blade cartridges arranged for a shave exposed on the one hand and on the other hand, must be as small as possible (material-saving design), they are very vulnerable to shocks. From experience gained empirically, it is known that weights of about 100 grams and more, and more particularly about 150 grams or more, can be achieved, as may be achieved by accumulators / batteries and / or metal handles and / or moreover by an engine until regular damage to a blade cartridge occur. At a weight of about 150 g, ie a fall energy of about 2.2 J in a case of 1.5 m, occur according to empirical studies on a regular basis damage to the blade cartridge. Obviously, less damage can occur even at lower energy levels, so that a defined limit for the critical energy is hardly given. The invention can also be applied to lighter hair removal devices (such as typical wet razors) to prevent damage caused by a fall of the wet razor from a greater height or when throwing the wet razor (user slips, hurling the wet razor to the ground) may occur.
The blade cartridge can be fixed by means of a known locking mechanism on the remaining special element (the "intermediate element"). In such a case, the special element comprises an intermediate element and the blade cartridge mounted on the intermediate element by means of a latching mechanism.
It is further provided a coupling for releasably connecting the special element of the main device element, wherein with respect to at least one given direction of action acting on the special element and thereby acting on the clutch minimum force for releasing the clutch. The minimum force, which leads to the release of the clutch, can by structural Configuration of the coupling can be adjusted and set as by empirical tests for a given hair removal device so that significant damage to the special element does not occur. The releasing of the clutch effecting force typically acts blunt on the special element, that is, for example, it is transmitted from a flat or at most slightly curved object on the special element. This ensures that when the hair removal device falls to the floor, the coupling can be released (or disengaged) by an applied force (and not a hidden tool-only mechanism must be operated). Preferably, the coupling is designed so that it is under force from as many different directions of action (particularly preferably from all conceivable directions of action over which an exposed arrangement of the special element blunt power transmission to the special element is possible) is opened. The coupling consists of a coupling part on the special element and a coupling part on the main device element, wherein the two coupling parts form the coupling in the assembled state of the special element.
In the described hair removal device, the special element comprising a blade cartridge is coupled to a relatively heavy main device element, without causing the risk that the special element is damaged or destroyed significantly in case of an accidental fall of the hair removal device. This is achieved with the help of the releasable coupling, which opens at a minimum force acting, which is below the force leading to significant damage or even destruction of the special element leading force. The special element is therefore separated in an impact from the main device element, so that the kinetic energy of the main device element can not be converted into destruction energy at the special element. Upon impact of the hair removal device kinetic energy is converted. The kinetic energy is determined by, for example, the weight of the hair removal device and height of fall, if it is a vertical fall, or by known formulas, such as an (unintended) litter. The kinetic energy, which is converted in an impact, leads to dynamic forces acting on the special element and thus on the coupling, which can not be easily described. However, empirical drop tests or FEM studies can be used to determine at which kinetic energy, for example in the vertical case, the coupling should trigger, so that there is no significant damage to the special element. As such, it can also be said that the clutch is designed to disengage the special element from the main device element for a given acting force greater than a minimum force or a given (kinetic) energy greater than a minimum energy.
As mentioned, the special element may comprise a replaceable blade cartridge. For blade cartridges, it is particularly important to avoid damage so that the blades, for example, can not be released and then pose a risk of injury. Significant damage to the user is any damage in which the blade cartridge can no longer be used faultlessly or even with a risk of injury.
In contrast to a breaking of a locking mechanism under a given force, the coupling described leads to a defined, non-destructive and reversible disengagement or uncoupling of the special element of the main device element. The Auskuppelkraft, so the necessary for disengaging minimum force acting on the coupling is defined by structural design (and may well be different for different directions of action, as long as it is guaranteed that disengaging occurs at forces that are not yet cause significant damage to the special element).
Furthermore, it has already been pointed out that the main device element contains an electric motor as well as an accumulator and / or a battery as well as possibly a shear foil shaver and / or a long hair trimmer. These are relatively heavy components whose weight can hardly be reduced below a given minimum and which in a case of the hair removal device result in a high kinetic energy trap.
According to another development of the hair removal device, the main device element has a main body and a slide movably mounted thereon, wherein the above-mentioned releasable coupling between the slider and the special element is formed. The special element thus participates in the movement of the slider relative to the main device element. This has the advantage that move the special element in a shock relative to the main device element and so can avoid dodging in many cases. The slider may in particular be an actuating element (switch) of the hair removal device with which functions of the hair removal device are activated or deactivated.
According to a development of the embodiment described above, the hair removal device is designed such that the base body at least partially conceals the special element in (at least) one position of the slider. The special element is then in these positions of the slide constructively protected by the body from shocks from the covered directions.
For the specific embodiment of the coupling between the main unit element and the special element There are many different possibilities. According to one embodiment, the coupling is formed as a snap connection between locking elements on the main device element and on the special element, ie by a positive engagement of the locking elements in the connected state of the main unit element and special element, said state assumed by overcoming a resistance and under partial elastic deformation of the locking elements or can also be left again. By appropriate design interpretation of the mentioned resistance (on the size of the undercut, etc.) can then be set to release the clutch minimum force or minimum energy very well.
In a preferred realization of the aforementioned snap connection, the latching elements comprise beads, which can engage behind one another. The state of beads engaging behind each other then represents the closed state of the coupling, which can be assumed or left by a successive sliding of the beads.
According to the invention, the coupling between the main device element and the special element is designed so that it opens in a relative rotation between the main device element and special element. In this case, acting on the special element torques can be rendered harmless by leading to a separation of the special element from the main unit element.
The locking elements may optionally at least partially engage in a circle about a predetermined axis of rotation. Preferably, the entire engagement region of the locking elements lies on a circle or on concentric circles about the axis of rotation. This has the advantage that torques acting about the axis of rotation can rotate the latching elements relative to one another along their (circular) engagement line, so that a (limited) rotation of the special element about the axis of rotation is possible.
In the case described above, the latching elements preferably comprise sliding surfaces which are inclined relative to the axis of rotation and, upon rotation of the latching elements about the axis of rotation, press the latching elements apart axially. By virtue of the rotational torque which is introduced from outside around the axis of rotation, rotational movements can then lead to an axial movement apart of the locking elements (axially with respect to the axis of rotation) and thus to a separation of the coupling.
In another development, the hair removal device has a spring element, which is under load in the engaged state of the special element, so that acts between the main unit element and the special element, a spring force that leads to the Auskuppelvorgang that the lighter special element by the expanding spring element of the heavier Main device element is pushed away. Then the special element in an impact is essentially no longer get between the main unit element and the wall or floor and damage by this type of impact is avoided.
A core element of the invention explained above is the releasable coupling between the main device element and the special element. Since features of this coupling are found both on the main device element and on the special element and these are each separately marketable products, the invention further relates to a main device element or a special element for a hair removal device of the type described above. The special element may in particular be integrally formed with a blade cartridge or identical thereto.

The illustrated
In the combined

Important for the desired protection of the special element with the

As a result, a coupling between the
Batteriebetrieb. The invention described above using the example of a combined electric and wet shaver can be applied analogously to other hair removal devices, especially in heavy equipment such as pure mechanical wet shaver with steel handles or wood applications or wet shavers with accumulator or battery operation.
In other words, in summary, a
