Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to the field of electrical connection technology; It relates to a cage clamp according to the preamble of
Allen presented terminals is common that they have a plurality of individual parts and / or self-contained cages, making the preparation of such terminals is correspondingly expensive. Furthermore, the thus fixed cables have a comparatively large contact surface to the clamping surface of the terminal in relation to the conductor cross-section, which at a given torque as a tightening torque of the screw corresponding thereto a maximum contact pressure to the clamping surface of the terminal results. This contact pressure on the clamping surface of the terminals can under certain external influences -such as turning the connected conductor- not be completely sufficient to prevent loosening of such compounds without unscrewing. A remedy for these disadvantages is the present invention.
It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a terminal in the form of a cage clamp, which avoids the disadvantages of known terminals and is characterized in particular by a simplified structure, easy installation, a small number of parts and a secure connection.
The object is solved by the entirety of the features of
A preferred embodiment of the cage clamp according to the invention is characterized in that the web connecting the two limbs is arc-shaped.
Such arcuate geometry of the web is particularly dimensionally stable when screwing the terminal, or rigid.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, at least one of the leg windows has a substantially rectangular leg window frame structure, wherein a first, short frame segment lies on the side facing the web and a second, short frame segment is arranged on a side facing a leg end and these two short frame segments are connected by means of two long frame segments; the two long frame segments are arranged to the web substantially perpendicular to the first, short frame segment and the second, short frame segment out they are chamfered; Advantageously, the long frame segments to the second, short frame segment are skewed axially symmetrical to the screw.
The bevel of the two long frame segments to the second, short frame segment should extend at least at an angle of 15 ° and at most at an angle of 60 °, as viewed from an imaginary line to the respective leg end in extension of the respective long frame segment; with particular advantage, the angle is 30 °.
A further advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that the material thickness of the U-shaped cage is smaller than the distance between the two legs from each other. In this case, the support of a conductor on the clamping surface or surfaces of the cage is characterized by the edge effect of the legs, in particular with respect to the second, short frame segment, which makes the conductor in the screwed state with respect to the cage pull terminal particularly secure against rotation.
The cage clamp according to the invention is characterized in particular by the fact that it can be screwed securely with it in the form of a standard clamp with predetermined, fixed standard size cables with a cable cross section between 2 and 50 square millimeters, without the clamp size as such would have to undergo a geometry change.
According to another embodiment of the invention, an inserted into the two leg window conductor is a cable and further arranged between this cable and the end of the screw a busbar, which enters into an electrical connection with screwed cage clamp with the cable.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the first, short frame segment has first recesses for an improved force distribution; with the same background, the cage can have second recesses on the side of the web, and / or the long frame segments have third recesses which facilitate insertion of the conductor.
