Definitions
- the invention relates to a specified in claim 1 earpiece for a hearing aid, a specified in claim 7 in-ear headphones, an indicated in claim 8 earmold for a hearing aid and a specified in claim 13 use of a thermoplastic for producing an earmold.
- the ear mold of a hearing device user is removed and made according to this a shell or a body in a solid or hard design.
- the hard version is, for example, an ear mold or a plastic shell produced by means of rapid prototyping technology.
- a mechanical connection between loudspeakers, also referred to as earpiece, and earpiece, preferably a "hard snap" is selected.
- FIG. 1 This so-called "hard-hard connection” is shown schematically.
- a conically shaped, hard snap element 21 of a loudspeaker 23 can be inserted accurately into an opening 22 of a hard ear piece 24. Due to the undercut of the conical snap element 21, the snap element 21 snaps securely into the opening 22. Due to the hardness of the materials, the connecting elements 21, 22 can be made relatively small.
- the ear pieces are not individually adapted, but the hearing device user can choose from a limited number of different sized, flexible ear pieces made of a soft material, such as silicone. Different soft ear pieces cover the different ear canal shapes of the hearing aid wearer. Since the respective ear piece does not fit exactly to the respective ear canal, the ear piece is usually reversibly deformed during insertion into the ear canal. It must therefore be made as elastic as possible in order to provide a comfortable feeling while wearing. On the other hand, the connector to the speaker must be sufficiently strong to ensure a secure fit in the earpiece. This requires a minimum size of the snap element of the speaker. In FIG. 2 this so-called “hard-soft connection" is shown schematically.
- a conically shaped, hard snap element 21 of a loudspeaker 23 can be accurately inserted into an opening 22 of a soft ear piece 24 by deforming it. Due to the different hardness of the materials, the connecting elements 21, 22 must be made relatively large for a secure fit.
- the post-published DE 10 2008 036 258 A1 discloses an earmold for a hearing aid having an opening for receiving a snap element disposed on a receiver or on a sound tube, wherein the opening is lined with a hard layer.
- This offers the advantage that the connection is suitable for both soft and hard ear pieces.
- the snap element is spherical educated. As a result, the snap element can be made very small.
- the stated object is achieved with the earpiece of the independent patent claim 1, with an in-ear earphone of the independent claim 7, with the ear piece for a hearing aid of the independent claim 8 and the use of a thermoplastic for producing an ear tip of the independent claim 13 solved.
- the invention claims an earpiece for snapping into an earmold having a spherical portion and having a cone-shaped portion formed at the eartip-facing end and tapering toward the earmold. This offers the advantage of a mobile, yet secure hold of the earpiece in an earmold.
- the conical section can be designed such that it forms a stop when tilting the earpiece in the earmold. As a result, the tilting or a deflection of the earpiece is limited.
- the earpiece can be formed rotationally symmetrical.
- the simple production is advantageous.
- an axially and rotationally symmetrically arranged sound channel can be formed in the earpiece. Through this, the sound waves of a listener reach the eardrum of a user.
- the earpiece can be integrally formed of metal or a hard plastic and with a handset be welded or glued. This provides a secure connection with the listener.
- the earpiece in the spherical section may have rotationally symmetrical slots through the shape and number of a plug-in force in the earmold is adjustable. This offers the advantage that the insertion force can be determined exactly.
- the invention also provides an in-ear earpiece for a hearing aid with a earpiece according to the invention.
- the invention also provides an earmold for a hearing aid, comprising an adapter element fixedly arranged in the earmold piece, into which a receiver socket according to the invention can be detachably fixed.
- the adapter element has a bead-shaped recess running around on the inside, with which the spherical section of the earpiece can form a positive connection, so that the earpiece in the adapter element can be tilted or deflected.
- the adapter element may be formed as part of an opening of the earmold. As a result, the adapter element is firmly connected to the earmold.
- the earmold piece can be formed from a soft, flexible plastic.
- the adapter element may be formed of metal or a hard plastic. This makes it possible to produce a hard-hard connection between an earmold and a earpiece.
- the earmold can be made with a two-component injection molding process of LSR / TPE and a thermoplastic for the adapter element.
- the thermoplastic may be polyamide or polybutylene terephthalate. These thermoplastics meet the required properties for a long-lasting snap connection.
- FIG. 3 an earmold 10 and a handset 11 are shown.
- the earmold 10 has an opening 13 with an adapter element 7, in which a mounted on the handset 11 earpiece 1 can snap.
- an adapter element 7 and earpiece 1 must be suitably designed.
- FIGS. 4 and 5 show the solution according to the invention in detail.
- the earmold is made of a soft material that is easily adaptable to the ear canal, preferably made of liquid silicone rubber (LSR).
- LSR liquid silicone rubber
- the earmold including adapter element 7 is integrally formed from a hard plastic.
- the adapter element 7 can also be made of metal and pressed into the earmold.
- the adapter element 7 is hollow with an opening 9 for the passage of sound waves and preferably cylindrical.
- the adapter element 7 takes on the earpiece 1 in the form of a snap connection.
- the earpiece 1 has a spherical portion 2, which engages in a corresponding, bead-shaped recess 8 of the adapter member 7 frictionally. Due to the spherical shape of section 2, the earpiece 1 can be moved like a ball joint in the adapter element 7.
- the bead-shaped recess 8 or circumferential groove on the inside of the adapter element 7 has a curvature which is approximately equal to the curvature of the spherical portion 2 of the earpiece 1.
- FIG. 4 shows the earpiece 1 and the adapter element 7 in a straight aligned position.
- FIG. 5 shows a cross section through the adapter element 7 and arranged in its opening 9 earphone 1 according to FIG. 4 in a mutually tilted position.
- Sound waves emitted by a receiver pass through the sound channel 7 of the earpiece 1 and through the opening 9 in the adapter element 7 to the eardrum of a hearing device user.
- the spherical portion 2 of the earpiece 2 snaps positively into a radius of the spherical portion 2 adapted, bead-shaped recess 8 of the adapter element 7.
- a rear handle 5 of about 0.02 to 0.10 mm required.
- a maximum tilt of the earphone 1 in the adapter element 7 is determined by the cone-shaped portion 3.
- the earpiece 1 goes so on stop 6 with the adapter element 7.
- the maximum tilt angle of the earpiece 1 can be adjusted. Theoretically, any angles are possible. Due to the conical section unintentional release of the connector between earpiece 1 and adapter element 7 is prevented in excessive tilting or deflecting the earpiece 1.
- the conical section 3 also facilitates the insertion of the earpiece 1 into the adapter element 7.
- the insertion force can be adjusted by the attachment of slots 12 in the spherical portion 2 of the earphone 1.
- the arrangement of the slots 12 is preferably rotationally symmetrical.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a specified in claim 1 earpiece for a hearing aid, a specified in
In the case of the behind-the-ear and in-the-ear hearing aids available on the market, it is generally necessary to connect an ear piece adapted to the ear canal of a hearing aid wearer to an in-ear loudspeaker. Depending on the embodiment of the ear piece, there are different solutions for producing a secure connection.
In
In
Another disadvantage of the "hard-soft connection" is that it can lead to wear of the soft material by snapping on the hard material. However, the geometry of the snap element must be performed "aggressive", so that a secure hold is given. Therefore, the snap connection can no longer reliably hold after a small number of mating cycles.
