Durch funktionales Zusammenwirken der für den erfindungsgemäßen Arbeitsplatz charakteristischen Merkmale ergeben sich diverse praxisrelevante Vorteile. Durch den Anbau des Stellwandelements an einen Tisch erfährt das Stellwandelement einen dermaßen festen Stand, wie er mit freistehend aufgestellten Stellwandelementen nur mit großem Aufwand erzielbar ist; dies ist ein bedeutender sicherheitstechnischer Aspekt. Weiterhin bedarf es durch den Anbau des Stellwandelements an den Tisch keiner sonst üblichen, dem Aufstellen des Stellwandelements dienenden eigenen Tragstruktur. Der gesamte mit dem Herstellen und Bereithalten einer gesonderten Tragstruktur für das Stellwandelement verbundene Aufwand, der namentlich dann nicht unerheblich ist, wenn diese Tragstruktur, um dem Stellwandelement einen relativ festen Stand zu verleihen, vergleichsweise massiv ausgeführt ist, kann in Anwendung der Erfindung entfallen. Weiterhin entfällt der für das Aufstellen der Tragstruktur erforderliche Platzbedarf, der bei Verwendung herkömmlicher freiststehender Stellwandelemente mit ausladenden Füßen mitunter zu erheblichen Beschränkungen im Hinblick auf die Flexibilität der Untergliederung von Großraumbüros führt. Auch wird die Sicherheit am Arbeitsplatz weiterhin gesteigert, indem durch Wegfall einer Tragstruktur für das Stellwandelement potentielle Stolperschwellen eliminiert werden. Herausragend ist weiterhin die in vorteilhafter Weise erhöhte Flexibilität, die dadurch erreicht wird, dass sich das betreffende Stellwandelement an den Tischbeinen des zugeordneten Tisches über Konsolen abstützt, die auf den betreffenden Beinen verschiebbar geführt sind. Hierdurch lässt sich die Höhe des Stellwandelements, um die dieses gegenüber der Tischplatte aufragt, individuell und stufenlos verstellen bzw. einstellen. Auf diese Weise ist insbesondere eine individuelle Anpassung der effektiven Höhe des Stellwandelements an die übrige Möblierung, an Belichtungsverhältnisse und sonstige Anforderungen bzw. Randbedingungen möglich, und zwar ohne dass eine Vielzahl unterschiedlich hoher Stellwandelemente bereitgehalten werden müsste. Die entsprechende Reduktion der sonst vorzuhaltenden, sich hinsichtlich ihrer Höhe unterscheidenden Stellwandelemente und/oder Tragstrukturen wirkt sich günstig sowohl auf die Herstellungskosten als auch auf die anwenderseitige Logistik aus. Die Anordnung des Stellwandelements in einer zu den Tischbeinen, an denen es sich abstützt, versetzten Ebene gestattet allerdings nicht nur die vorstehend beschriebene individuelle Anpassung bzw. Verstellung der maximalen Höhe des Stellwandelements; vielmehr lässt sich durch den besagten Versatz zwischen dem Stellwandelement und der Tischplatte, insbesondere auf dementsprechend lang ausgeführten Kragarmen der Konsolen aufliegend, Arbeitsplatzausrüstung jeglicher Art versenkt bzw. versteckt und doch gut erreichbar unterbringen. Dies gilt namentlich für Kabel, für deren Aufnahme ein auf den Kragarmen der Konsolen aufliegender, zwischen dem Stellwandelement und der benachbarten Kante der Tischplatte angeordneter Kabelkanal vorgesehen sein kann.
