Abstract
Description
- The present invention refers to a display box.
- In particular, the present invention refers to a display box of the type comprising a front wall and a back wall, substantially vertical and parallel to each other; a bottom wall and a top wall, substantially horizontal, parallel to each other, and orthogonal to the front and back walls; and two side walls, substantially vertical, parallel to each other and orthogonal to the front, back, bottom and top walls.
- Generally, at least the front wall comprises a removable portion, which is detached from the display box along at least one pre-notch line to open the display box and allow a product contained therein to be extracted.
- The known display boxes of the above-described type have some drawbacks mainly deriving from that, once the removable portion has been detached, the mentioned pre-notch line may be viewed by the user's eye and confers an unpleasant appearance to the open display box.
- In order to obviate this problem, a display box is provided having a front wall comprising a first shaped panel defining an opening for extracting the product contained inside the display box and a second panel adapted to close the opening itself.
- The display box is generally made either by means of two separate blanks, one of which defines the second panel, or by means of a single blank provided with an additional panel, which defines the second panel, and is connected to a panel defining the top wall of the display box. Therefore, manufacturing the known display box of the above-described type implies, in one case, the design and construction of a special cartoning machine capable of inserting the blank defining the second panel into the display box, and in the other case, the use of an amount of wrapping material, which is higher than the amount of wrapping material used for manufacturing a display box with a front pre-notched wall.
- It is the object of the present invention to provide a display box which is free from the above-described drawbacks and which is simple and cost-effective to be implemented.
- According to the present invention, a display box is provided as claimed in claims from 1 to 12.
- The present invention further refers to a blank for manufacturing a display box.
- According to the present invention, a blank for manufacturing a display box is provided as claimed in
claims 13 to 20. - The present invention further refers to a method for manufacturing a display box.
- According to the present invention, a method for manufacturing a display box is provided as claimed in
claims 21 to 23. - The present invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings, which illustrate a non-limitative embodiment thereof, in which:

Panel 11 is further provided with a grasping element, which facilitates the detachment ofportion 13 fromtabs 12, and is defined, in this case, by acentral hole 15 obtained through theportion 13, and further has a central, substantiallyvertical weakening line 16, which extends through theportion 13, and is adapted to facilitate the extraction ofportion 13 through the opening 9. - With reference to
figure 4 , thetop wall 2 comprises twoinner panels portion 13 and respectively to theback wall 5, by means of two pre-notchlines external panels panels panels side walls lines panels - The box 1 is further provided with an
end tab 25, which is connected to theside wall 6, is folded in contact with theback wall 5 inside box 1, and is glued to thewall 5 itself. - Box 1 is opened from its initial closed configuration by gripping the
portion 13 by means of thehole 15, detaching theportion 13 fromtabs 12 andpanel 17 of thetop wall 2, and extracting theportion 13 itself through the opening 9 with the aid of the central weakeningline 16. - Finally, box 1 may be opened to a greater extent by detaching the
panels top wall 2 fromportion 13,back wall 5,side wall 6 andside wall 7, respectively. - According to some variants (not shown):
- the
tabs 12 are not glued to thepanel 8, thepre-notch lines 14 are eliminated, and thewhole panel 11 is connected to thepanel 8 itself by means of two pre-notch lines obtained along theedges 10; - the weakening
