- This lower speed enables the correct filling of the cavities when manufacturing parts such as helical gears and other parts, which are characterised in requiring lower forge speeds than those provided by conventional horizontal-press cold-forging machines.
- Figure 1 shows an example of a helical gear for whoms manufacture the invention is especially useful.
- This type of part is characterised in that it is forged inside a cavity provided with complex shapes. To ensure that said cavity shapes are filled correctly and that the resulting part does not present any defects, the cavity must be filled (as a result of a needle hammering or pressing the part) at a relatively low speed, in the region of 250 mm/s.
- the forging machine according to the invention enables that the speed of movement of the moving part in relation to the fixed part, which is around 60 hammer strokes per minute (approximately 700 mm/s), to be reduced to a hammering speed of the needle against the part of around said value, i.e. 250 mm/s.
- the horizontal-press cold-forging machine of the invention comprises, similarly to conventional horizontal-press cold-forging machines, a forging zone provided with at least one unit with a fixed part (1) and a moving part (2).

- Presse horizontale pour forgeage à froid qui comprend une zone de forge, où cette zone de forge comprend au moins une unité avec une partie fixe (1) et une partie mobile (2), où la partie fixe (1) comprend une matrice (3) munie d'une cavité (4) dans laquelle une billette (5) est introduite, où la matrice (3) peut se déplacer à l'intérieur de la partie fixe (1), et la partie mobile (2) est capable de frapper sur la partie fixe (1) et comprend une aiguille (6)qui enfonce la billette (5) l'obligeant à prendre la forme de la cavité (4), caractérisée par le fait que:- la partie fixe (1) comprend également un coussinet mobile (8) autour une partie au moins de la matrice (3) et capable de se déplacer dans le sens de la longueur (X) par rapport à cette matrice (3),- la partie fixe (1) comprend également une cale (7) située entre le coussinet mobile (8) et la matrice (3), où cette cale (7) comprend une surface intérieure de forme de cale (10) et une surface extérieure de forme de cale (11) où laditecale (7) est fixe dans un sens de la longueur (X) et mobile dans un sens radial (Y),- la matrice (3) comprend une surface extérieure de forme de cale (12) similaire à la surface intérieure de forme de cale (10) de la cale (7), se produisant une friction entre les deux surfaces (10, 12), et le coussinet mobile (8) comprend une surface intérieure de forme de cale (13) similaire à la surface extérieure de forme de cale (11) de la cale (7), se produisant une friction entre les surfaces (11, 13),- la partie mobile (2) comprend un élément de poussée (9) capable d'enfoncer le coussinet mobile (8) lorsque l'aiguille (6) frappe la billette (5).
- Presse horizontale pour forgeage à froid, selon la revendication 1, caractérisée par le fait qu'elle comprend un ressort (14) qui enfonce le coussinet mobile (8) dans un sens longitundinal, opposé au sens dans lequel l'aiguille (6) frappe, vers sa position de repos.
