Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen als Flächenstrahler ausgebildeten InfrarotStrahler mit einem Gehäuse, das Seitenwände umfasst, in dem ein Strahlkörper angeordnet ist, der an seiner Rückseite im Inneren des Gehäuses von einem in einer Brennkammer brennenden Fluid beheizt wird und dessen von außen sichtbare Vorderfläche die Infrarot-Strahlung abgibt und in unmittelbare Nachbarschaft zu einer in einer Laufrichtung vorbeilaufenden Faserstoffbahn steht. Um eine gleichmäßige Wärmeabgabe im Querprofil an der Vorderfläche (5) des Strahlkörpers (3) zu erwirken, umschließen die Seitenwände (2a, 2b) die Brennkammer (6) nicht vollständig.
