Definitions
- the present invention relates to a push-button handle.
- the present invention relates to a pushbutton handle for sliding leaves.
- the present invention relates to a push-button handle for sliding leaves provided with an adjustable closing member.
- each elbow presents a respective vertical portion which is suitable to engage the respective abutment from the side of the frame, in such a way as to assure the locking of the leaf, preventing it from horizontally translating.
- these kinds of handles only on one side of the window or door, generally on the inner side, to make it safer and more economical, and at the opposite side to this handle it is common to install a fixed convex tray on the outer side, to prevent attempts to switch each latch.
- each convex tray presents a recess for the fingertips of a hand, which may intervene on the position of the leaf if the active handle presents each respective latch positioned free from the respective abutment.
- a handle for sliding windows and doors can be provided with a locking unit comprising at least one latch carried by the cursor by means of a base in adjustable manner along the direction of advance of the leaf and transversely thereto.
- said latch is constituted by a pin with horizontal axis provided with a T shaped head able to engage in shape, according to a vertical direction, a coulisse abutment, carried rigidly by the frame and provided with a hooking member that develops vertically; this abutment presents, appropriately, a substantially C shaped cross section.
- the horizontal pin is connected rigidly to the cursor through a threaded member, which extends transversely to the direction of advance of the leaf and which houses the stem of the pin in a service hole oriented according to this direction.
- the rigid connection of the stem of the pin can be obtained by means of a transverse dowel, but the transverse adjustment of the position of the axis of the pin stem is not continuous.
- the acceptable positions of the service hole shall only be two for each rotation of the threaded member, so that the acceptable displacements of the pin stem transversely to the direction of advance of the leaf are discrete and are mutually separated by one half pitch of the threads of the threaded member.
- the transverse dowel has the purpose of setting the axial position of the horizontal pin.
- the adjustment of the position of the eyelet is discrete, for half-pitch multiples of the helix of the thread of the threaded member; furthermore, the possibility that the locking dowel for locking the horizontal pin may become loose by accidental unscrewing and that, for this reason, the axis of the eyelet of the horizontal pin may be deviated from the vertical could cause the impossibility of switching the handle between the opening and closing position because of friction.
- This possibility is not remote, for a user unaware of the problem intrinsic to the handle described in the patent application GR2003100210 could be induced to cause the switching by acting with force on the cursor, damaging the handle as a whole.
- the latch is obtained by means of a pin, but the respective free end comprises a portion that is elongated and holed in the vertical to be coupled with an abutment which is constituted by a vertical pin carried by the frame, whereto it is coupled by means of three screws. Also in this case, the latch is carried by a transversely holed member and it is coupled to the frame through a threaded connection, with the result of replicating the problems illustrated above.
- the present invention relates to a push-button handle.
- the present invention relates to a pushbutton handle for sliding leaves.
- the present invention relates to a push-button handle for sliding leaves provided with an adjustable closing member.
- the object of the present invention is to provide a handle for windows, doors and the like that allows the disadvantages described above to be solved, and which is suitable to satisfy a plurality of requirements that to date have still not been addressed, and therefore, suitable to represent a new and original source of economic interest and capable of modifying the current commercial sector.
- a handle for windows or doors is provided, whose main characteristics are described in at least one of the appended claims.
- FIG. 1 is a longitudinal section view of a first preferred embodiment of a handle according to the present invention

- - figure 4 is a schematic three-dimensional view of a lateral portion of figure 1 with some parts removed for the sake of clarity, in two given operating positions;
- - figure 5 is a schematic perspective view of a detail excerpted from figure 4 in enlarged scale;
- figure 6 is an exploded perspective view in reduced scale of a second preferred embodiment of figure 1;
- figure 7 is an exploded perspective view in enlarged scale of figure 6 with some parts removed for the sake of clarity.
- number 1 indicates, in its entirety, a handle 1 for sliding windows, doors and the like which comprise a leaf 2 carried by a frame 3 in freely sliding and selectively fixed manner along a given longitudinal
- the handle 1 comprises a case 6 able to be coupled rigidly to the leaf 2 and provided with a locking device 10 provided with a cursor 11 carried by the case 6 in a movable manner with alternating motion transversely to the longitudinal direction D and supporting a latch 14 which, in turn, is provided with a head 140 substantially T shaped in order to couple selectively with a stopping member 5 installable rigidly on the frame 3, and in particular with a respective first coulisse 54 which develops transversely to the longitudinal direction D to house the head 140.
- the handle 1 further comprises a Cartesian regulating group 60 associated with the locking device 10 for setting at will the position of the head 140 relative to the stopping member 5.
- each latch 14 comprises a threaded stem 142 that supports the head 140
- the group 60 comprises a base 12 which presents elongated shape according to the direction of development of the case 6, is carried by the cursor 11 and is designed to carry the stem 142 in such a way as to adjust the position of the head 140 along the longitudinal direction D and to define at will a distance between the head 140 and the base 12 along the given direction D.
- the base 12 is carried in a cantilevered manner by the cursor 11, and the handle 1 comprises a fixed convex tray 8 provided with a bearing unit 30 suitable laterally to support the base 12 in case of impact of the head 140 against the frame 3 according to the longitudinal direction D.
- the bearing unit 30 comprises a second coulisse 36 for a projecting portion 120 of the base 12.
- the bearing unit 30 can be selectively provided with a guiding member 32 provided with a rise 34, more readily apparent in figure 4, whose height is adequate to the thickness of the leaf 2 whereon the handle 1 is to be installed.
- This rise 34 is normally constituted by an abutment whose width approximates by defect the width of the second coulisse 36, and it is shaped so it can be coupled to the projecting portion 120 of the base 12 through a releasable connection.
- the handle 1 is shown with the convex tray 8 illustrated in two distinct operating positions, indicative of the possibility to be used in combination with profiles of the leaf 2 with different thickness because of the possibility of using the guiding member 32 provided with the rise 34 in combination with the second coulisse 36.
- the base 12 comprises at least one seat 16 to house stably an anti- loosening member 62 able to lock the stem 142 by interference.
- Each anti-loosening member 62 comprises a first block 62 obtained by moulding of plastic material, presents substantially parallelepipedal shape, is provided with a hole 64 dimensioned to house the stem 142 with interference and it is made of plastic material.
- the seat 14 is shaped in a manner conjugated to the corresponding first block 62 so that the first block 62 itself is able to exert, in use, a friction action on the stem 142 to lock the head 140 axially relative to the base 12.
- the base 12 is carried by the cursor 11 through a releasable connection, preferably, although without limitation, a threaded connection;
- the Cartesian group 60 comprises a member 66 whose thickness is definable at will, which is positioned between the cursor 11 and the base 12 to define at will the distance of the head 140 from the base 12 transversely to the longitudinal direction D.
- the member 66 with thickness definable at will comprises a second block 66 with given thickness, which enables finely to adjust the height of the projecting portion 120 of the base 12.
- the base 12 presents a pair of seats 16 flanking each other, delimited by parallel walls 160 provided with coaxial threaded holes 162 with substantially identical diameter to house, in pairs or in combination, the stem 142 in such a way as to maintain it substantially aligned and bilaterally fixed along the direction D.
- the distance Dl between the walls 160 delimiting the seat 16 of the figure 5 positioned at opposite side from the head 140 is smaller than a distance D2 of figure 3 between two limit positions of adjustment of the head 140 relative to the base 12, so that the stem 142 always engages at least the wall 160 adjacent to the head 146 and the middle wall 160.
- the case 6 presents a guiding member 70 able to maintain the cursor 11 along the given direction D and for this purpose comprising a pair of projections 72 so shaped as to couple in sliding manner with the cursor 11.
- the handle 1 comprises a safety device 80 for preventing incorrect operations carried by the case 6 to the side of the cursor 11 and provided with a consensus member 82 movable along the longitudinal direction D and positioned facing the base 12 transversely to the longitudinal direction D in order selectively to intercept a second projection, or bolt 122, carried by the base 12.
- the safety device 80 for preventing incorrect operations is provided with a movable abutment 84 which delimits the consensus member 82 in the given direction D and is able to intercept the frame 3 to enable the longitudinal translation of the bolt 122 and hence of the cursor 11 within the case 6.
- the handle 1 comprises a lever 20 that is typical of the so-called cremone handles, carried rotatable by the case 6 around a pivot axis 22 transverse to the given direction D in order to actuate the cursor 11 through the use of a transmission device 40.
- This transmission device 40 comprises a sprocket 44 coaxial to the pivot axis 22, coupled to the lever 20 in an angularly fixed manner, and the cursor 11 presents a rack 45 coupled to the sprocket 44 to be movable transversely to the longitudinal direction D.
- the sprocket 44 is axially fixed to the lever 20 through a threaded connection 46 comprising a screw 47 and a threaded housing 48 obtained in the lever 22 coaxially to the pivot axis 22.
- each projection 72 comprises a substantially cylindrical respective free end 74 to couple in a sliding manner with a longitudinal slot 76 of the cursor 11.
- Use of the handle 1 is easily understood from the description above and requires no further explanations. However, it should be specified that the teachings provided and summarised with reference to the handle 1 described above represent a simple to implement, low cost solution to the technical problem illustrated above, which can find valid application if each handle 1 has to be used to switch a movable equipment having considerable inertia, e.g. one that is provided with a plurality of latches 14, carried by rods, known and therefore not illustrated, which are in turn coupled slidably to leaves 2.
- the handle 1 may be of the pushbutton type and the cursor 11 shall be modified for the modified geometry to be given to the members described above with reference to figures 1-5.
- the handle 1 of figures 6 and 7 presents the respective cursor 11 that integrates the base 12 and comprises an actuating member 110 for operating the cursor 11; this actuating member 110 is coupled to the case 6 in a sliding manner transversely to the given direction D.
- each projection 72 comprises a longitudinal shoulder 720 able to delimit from the exterior the cursor 11/the base 12, and a consensus device 112 associated with the actuating member 110 through a screw 124 is provided in order selectively to enable the alternating working motion of the cursor 11/of the base 12 transversely to the given direction D.
- This consensus device 112 comprises a locking tooth 114 carried by the case 6 through a respective housing 119, visible only in figure 7, in a manner movable transversely to the cursor 11 under the action of a spring 116 and an elongated template 118 coupled to the cursor 11 and provided with the housing 119 for the tooth 114; the housing 119 extends in the direction D and it is longitudinally delimited by chamfered edges 1190 to facilitate a sliding of the tooth 114 on the template 118, and selectively to lock the cursor 11 relative to the case 6 through the tooth 114.
