Um ein Montagesystem für ein an einer Wand befestigbares Gehäuse (200) einer Dunstabzugshaube, mit
- mindestens einen Montagebügel (100) mit
-- mindestens einem an der Wand befestigbaren Wandelement (110) und
-- mindestens einem sich vom Wandelement (110) weg in Richtung Vorderseite (260) des Gehäuses (200) erstreckenden Halteelement (120) und

- mit mindestens einem an mindestens einer Gehäusewand (220, 240, 250) das Gehäuses (200) angeordneten mit dem Halteelement (120) des Montagebügels (100) verbindbaren Verbindungselement (210)
sowie ein Verfahren zum montieren des vorgenannten Gehäuses (200) so weiterzubilden, dass die Montage im Vergleich zum Stand der Technik vereinfacht wird, wird vorgeschlagen, dass das Verbindungselement (210) durch mindestens eine Ausnehmung gebildet ist, die
- an der der Wand zugewandten Rückseite (220) des Gehäuses (200) angeordnet ist und
