It can be seen that the base 4 and the dome 3 are connected via the igniter 7 and the nut 22 also clamps the skirt 2 between the dome 3 and the tongues 10. This ensures the fastening of the dome 3 and the skirt 4, thus effectively securing the skirt of the dome and the base.

On peut alors introduire la poudre du chargement propulsif par un des espaces libres 16 se trouvant à l'arrière du dôme de chargement. A la fin de ce chargement, on met en place le culot 4 comme cela est visible sur la figure 8 jusqu'à l'appui sur les languettes 10. On s'arrange bien entendu pour que les rainures 19 soient positionnées en regard des bossages 18. On exerce alors un effort supplémentaire sur le culot 4 afin de plier grâce au culot les languettes striées 10 en les rabattant contre la surface externe de la jupe 2. On enfonce le culot 4 jusqu'à faire apparaître la partie filetée de l'allumeur 7 en saillie par rapport au culot. Claims (11)

  1. Large calibre ammunition constituted by a projectile attached to a combustible skirt (2) and closed by a base (4), a linking dome (3) being provided between the skirt and the base, the linking dome (3) incorporating a first lateral wall (11) cooperating with the skirt and a second lateral wall (12) extending the first one and cooperating with the base (4), and said dome comprising means (10) to ensure its joining with the skirt (2), characterised in that the joining means (10) may be able to be bent back by the base (4) onto the lateral wall of the combustible skirt.
  2. Large calibre ammunition according to Claim 1, characterised in that the linking means (10) are integral with the dome (3) and fastened at the junction between the first (11) and second (12) lateral walls.
  3. Large calibre ammunition according to Claims 1 or 2, characterised in that the linking means (10) are constituted by flexible tabs (10a, 10b).
  4. Large calibre ammunition according to Claim 3, characterised in that the flexible tabs (10a, 10b) are provided with ridges (21) enabling the dome (3) to be immobilised on the skirt (2).
  5. Large calibre ammunition according to Claims 3 or 4, characterised in that the tabs (10a, 10b) are part of the dome (3).
  6. Large calibre ammunition according to Claims 3 or 4, characterised in that the tabs (10a, 10b) are attached to the dome (3) by attachment means.
  7. Large calibre ammunition according to any one of the previous Claims, characterised in that the dome (3) incorporates a central ring (13) integral with the lateral walls (11, 12) by arms, said ring (13) having a drill hole (15) to accommodate an igniter (7).
  8. Large calibre ammunition according to Claim 7, characterised in that the arms (14) are in the shape of convex-curved arcs fitted with means (18) to centre the base.
  9. Large calibre ammunition according to Claim 8, characterised in that the centring means (18) are constituted by bosses (18) intended to cooperate with matching notches (19) in the base (4)
  10. Large calibre ammunition according to Claim 7, characterised in that the igniter is held in the drill hole (15) on one side by a system of snugs/notches and on the other by an elastic ring (8).
  11. Large calibre ammunition according to Claim 10, characterised in that the igniter (7) is linked to the base (4) by a nut (22).
