Claims (14)

  1. Installation (1) for trimming at least one edge of folded printed products (100), with receiving compartments (10) for the printed products (100) to be trimmed, which are drivable to circulate along a circuit (U), comprise at least one supporting surface (14) and are open on at least one side, with a support (50) on which the printed product (100) inserted into the receiving compartment (10) comes to lie with its folded edge (102) in the region of the compartment base, and with at least one trimming arrangement (30, 40) which comprises a plurality of blades (32, 42) moved along with the receiving compartments (10) as well as at least one stationary counter blade (34, 44), wherein the receiving compartments (10) comprise a controllable clamping and moving arrangement (20) for the clamping and moving of the printed products (100) along the supporting surface (14), and the clamping and moving arrangement (20) comprises at least one clamping device (22, 24) with at least two clamping elements (224, 228) for clamping an lateral edge of the printed product (100), and the at least two clamping devices interact in such a manner that, between them, they are able to pick up a printed product, and the at least two clamping devices can be moved in relation to each other, between a release position and a clamping position, with a control arrangement, characterized in that the support (50) is designed such that, after insertion into the compartments (10), the edge (104) of the printed product (100) opposite the folded edge (102) is situated in the direct vicinity of the open side of the compartment (10) and that the interacting clamping elements of the clamping and moving arrangement (20) can be moved toward or away from the compartment base independent of the supporting surface, so that the printed products (100) can be fixed, prior to a first trim, at least in the region of the lateral edges (106, 108) running perpendicularly to the folded edge (102) and need not be released again until yielding the printed product (100).
  2. Installation according to claim 1, characterized in that the at least one trimming arrangement is for creating frontal trimmings, wherein its moved along blades (32) are arranged on the open side of the compartments (10) opposite to the compartment base and that the support is designed such and the clamping and moving arrangement (20) is designed and controlled such that the printed products (100), before being clamped by the clamping and moving arrangement (20), protrude over the moved along blades (32) of the first trimming arrangement (30).
  3. Installation according to claim 2, characterized in that the support (50) is adjustable such that the distance (D) between the support and the moved along blades (32) of the first trimming arrangement (30) is adaptable to the format of the printed products (100) to be trimmed.
  4. Installation according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the compartments (10) are open on three sides and that at least one first trimming arrangement (30) for creating frontal trimmings and a second trimming arrangement (40) for creating of head-foot-trimmings is provided, wherein these in each case comprise, on the open sides of the compartments, moved along blades (32, 42) and stationary counter blades (34, 44) and whereby the stationary counter blade of the first trimming arrangement (30) is arranged in circulation direction ahead of the counter blade of the second trimming arrangement (40), such that the frontal trimming is carried out before the head-foot-trimming.
  5. Installation according to claim 4, characterized in that the clamping and moving arrangement (20) is designed such that the printed products (100) are moved towards the compartment base in between the frontal trimming and the head-foot-trimming.
  6. Installation according to claim 5, characterized in that the clamping and moving arrangement (20) comprises at least three clamping devices (22, 24, 26) for clamping the frontal edge (104) opposite the folded edge (102), as well as of the lateral edges (106, 108), which run perpendicularly to the frontal edge, wherein the clamping device (26) for the frontal edge (104) is advantageously controllable and movable independently of the clamping devices (22, 24) for the lateral edges (106, 108).
  7. Installation according to claim 6, characterized in that the axial distance of the clamping devices (22, 24) for clamping the lateral edges (106, 108) is adjustable for adaptation to different formats independently of the position of the clamping device (26) for the front edge (104).
  8. Method for the trimming of folded printed products (100) on at least one edge by means of an installation according to one of the claims 1 to 7, wherein the printed products (100) are introduced into receiving compartments (10), that are driven to circulate along a circuit (U), are open on at least one side and comprise a supporting surface (14), the printed products (100) come to lie with their folded edge (102) on a support (50) in the region of the compartment base, are clamped in the receiving compartment (10), are moved along the supporting surface (14) and are trimmed with a trimming arrangement (30, 40) comprising a plurality of blades (32, 42) moved along with the trimming arrangement (30, 40) as well as one respective stationary counter blade (34, 44), characterized in that the printed products (100) are inserted into the receiving compartments (10) and supported by the support (50) in such a way, that the edge (104) of the printed products opposite the folded edge (102) is in direct vicinity of the open side after insertion into the compartments (10) and that the printed products (100) are fixed in the region of the side edges (106, 108) extending in perpendicular to the folded edges (102) before a first trimming is carried out and are only released when the printed product is passed on.
  9. Method according to claim 8, characterized in that the printed products (100) are trimmed at least on their frontal edge (104) opposite the folded edge (102) and that they are supported by the support in such a manner that, before being clamped by the clamping and moving arrangement (20), they protrude over the moved along blades (32) of a trimming arrangement (30) for the frontal trimming.
  10. Method according to claim 8 or 9, characterized in that the printed products are trimmed on their front edge (104) opposite the folded edge (102) and then trimmed on the lateral edges (106, 108) extending perpendicularly to these.
  11. Method according to claim 10, characterized in that the printed products (100) are clamped after insertion into the receiving compartments (10) in the region of the frontal edges (104) and on the lateral edges (106, 108).
  12. Method according to claim 11, characterized in that the front edge (104) is released after the frontal trimming has been executed and the lateral edges (106, 108) are held in a clamped condition.
  13. Method according to claim 12, characterized in that the printed product (100) is moved towards the compartment base after release of the front edge (104) without the two lateral edges (106, 108) being released and that the head-foot-trimming is carried out subsequently.
  14. Method according to one of claims 8 to 13, characterized in that the printed product (100), after execution of the head-foot-trimming is moved away from the compartment base, such that it may be taken over by an onward conveying device (80).
