A sealing element for connection and/or mutual sealing of facade elements (2) and the like building parts, comprising at least two mutually spaced sealing bars (6.1, 6.2) which form a cavity (5) between them and which are respectively connected at their edge to a common connecting bar (7) adapted for fixing to the facade elements, which are adapted to be received in profile grooves (10) of the façade elements (2), that are towards each other at the opening side, wherein each sealing bar (6.1, 6.2) is adapted to be elastically deformable to vary its widthwise dimension in the profile transverse direction and is hingedly connected with its edge to the connecting bar, and wherein at least the one of the two sealing bars (6.1) is of a curved shape viewed in cross-section and the sealing bars (6.1, 6.2) are connected together by a connecting leg (9), characterised in that the outward curvature is directed towards the side remote from the other sealing bar (6,2) and said other sealing bar (6.2) is of a concertina-shaped configuration, wherein the sealing bar (6.2) is formed by an even number of sealing strips (8) which are respectively hingedly connected together, the connecting leg (9) being arranged centrally on the sealing bars (6.1, 6.2)
  2. A sealing element according to claim 1 characterised in that the outward curvature is in the form of a circular arc.
  3. A sealing element according to claim 1 characterised in that the outward curvature is of an angled configuration, wherein the sealing bar (6.1) is formed by two hingedly interconnected sealing strips.
  4. A sealing element according to one of claims 1 to 3 characterised in that the sealing bar (6.2) is formed by four sealing-strips (8).
  5. A sealing element according to one of claims 1 to 4 characterised in that on their side faces engaging the profile groove walls the connecting bars (7) are provided with hook-shaped latching projections (11).
  6. A sealing element according to claim 5 characterised in that the profile grooves (10) are provided with latching receiving means for the respective latching projections (11).
  7. A sealing element according to one of claims 1 to 6 characterised in that at their edge projecting towards the bottom of the profile groove (2) the connecting bars (7) have a cavity (12) with a wall set to be soft
  8. A sealing element according to one of claims 1 to 7characterised in that the connecting bars (7) are provided with laterally projecting support bars (13) which cover the edge of the profiled groove.
