Definitions
- the present invention regards a sign device for various types of environments such, as a non-limiting example, offices and public areas.
- the present invention regards a sign device of the modular type.
- the term "sign” means the group of signs or a single sign capable of providing directions and/or information regarding things and/or people and/or of the logistic type such as, for a non-limiting example, route directions and directions in buildings.
- Various sign devices and systems of simple or modular type are currently known which substantially comprise a base of preset size and shape on which the desired sign is provided in a suitable housing, the sign being suitably arranged on an appropriate support, such as for example a panel, label etc. At times, such devices can be completed by a covering made of transparent material, for example a shield, which is placed over the sign and suitably secured to the base.
- the base is often made of plastic or metal (for example aluminium) material through moulding or extrusion techniques in such a manner to obtain it according to the desired shape.
- the sign device is provided with means for fixing it at the installation site, such as for example a wall or a pillar depending on the specific requirements.
- the technical problem on which the present invention is based is that of providing a sign device with such structural and functional characteristics to overcome the abovementioned drawbacks with reference to the known art and, in particular a sign device having such structural and functional characteristics to be widely versatile in terms of application on devices of various types, in particular papers of standard format, bearing signs which are performed on them for example by printing using inkjet or laser printers, or any other material of analogous thicknesses for example laminated plastic or metal as a medium for signs produced through screen printing or by applying self-adhesive symbols.
- a sign device characterised in that it comprises first elements and second elements associated to each other at respective end parts to form a frame delimited internally by edges of said first elements and edges of said second elements, and at least one spacer associated in a removable manner to said first elements or said second elements, said at least one spacer being arranged in said frame to accommodate in supporting manner a preset sign inserted into said frame and held into position by means of coupling with said edges of said first elements and/or said edges of said second elements.
- said at least one spacer is arranged at a slightly rear position with respect to said edges of said first elements and said edges of said second elements.
- said at least one spacer is elastically deformable in such a manner to keep said signs pressed in contact, direct or indirect, against the edges of said first elements or the edges of said second elements.
- a sign device according to the invention is indicated in its entirety by 1.
- the device 1 comprises two opposed vertical tubular pieces 4 and two oppositely positioned horizontal tubular pieces 3 associated to each other at their respective end parts to form a frame 2 delimited internally by edges 3d of the horizontal tubular pieces 3 and by edges 4d of the vertical tubular pieces 4.
- the horizontal tubular pieces 3 are longer with respect to the vertical tubular pieces 4.
- the vertical tubular pieces 4 and the horizontal tubular pieces 3 are made of metal material, in particular aluminium, by means of extrusion or moulding processes of per se conventional type. Obviously, they can be made of material different from metal, for example plastic material.
- the vertical tubular pieces 4 are opened laterally inwards the device 1 along the entire respective length, they have a substantially trapezoidal transverse section and they are delimited by a front wall 4a, a rear wall 4b having smaller dimensions than the wall 4a and a side wall 4c fitted slanted onto the front wall 4a and onto the rear wall 4b.
- the horizontal tubular pieces 3 have a substantially square-shaped transverse section and they are partially opened at the rear part along a horizontal section 5 extending along their entire length and they are also provided with a rear appendage 5a.
- each angular fitting 7 comprises a first end portion 8 having a transverse trapezoidal section substantially complementary with the portion of a vertical tubular piece 4, in such a manner to obtain a shape coupling in such vertical tubular piece 4, and a second end portion 9 having a square-shaped transverse section substantially complementary with the portion of a horizontal tubular piece 3 in such a manner to obtain a shape coupling inside such horizontal tubular piece 3.
- each angular fitting 7 comprises a flat shaped plug 10 made integral above the first end portion 8, the plug 10 having a transverse section and dimension corresponding to the ones of a vertical tubular piece 4 so as to cover in an accurate manner the end of said vertical tubular piece 4 upon insertion of the first end portion 8 into it, and having a preset thickness so as to have its surface flush with the upper surface of a horizontal tubular piece 3, in a kind of continuity, upon insertion of the second end portion 9 into said horizontal tubular piece 3.
- the angular fittings 7 are made of plastic material by means of per se conventional moulding processes.
- the sign device 1 comprises two peripheral guides 12, each associated to a respective vertical tubular piece 4.
- each peripheral guide 12 is made integral with the respective vertical tubular piece 4 starting from the rear wall 4b in a kind of internal appendage of said piece 4 or of inward prolongation of said rear wall 4b.
- each guide 12 has a substantially plate-shaped structure, it extends vertically along the entire length of the respective vertical tubular piece 4 and it has two oppositely positioned reliefs 15 ending with respective lips 16 facing inwards said guide 12.
- the sign device 1 comprises an elastically deformable spacer, globally indicated by 18, associated in a removable and sliding manner to both peripheral guides 12 of the vertical tubular pieces 4 in proximity to their ends.
- the spacer 18 comprises an arched and elastically deformable arm 19 and a pair of elastically deformable flaps made integral in proximity to each of the opposed ends of the arm 19, each pair of flaps comprising an external flap 20 and internal flap 21 opposed to each other and substantially perpendicular to said arm 19.
- Each pair made up of an external flap 20 and an internal flap 21 of an arm 19 allows the coupling/decoupling of the spacer 18 with a respective peripheral guide 12 of a vertical tubular piece 4.
- each external flap 20 has, at the free end, a tooth 23 facing toward the respective internal flap 21 while each internal flap 21 has a tooth 30 facing toward the external flap 20 and at a preset distance with respect to its free end.
- the spacer 18 can be snap-coupled in a removable and sliding manner to a peripheral guide 12 of a vertical tubular piece 4 by means of a pair of flaps 20 and 21 with the tooth 30 of the internal flap 21 that abuts from above against a lip 16 (precisely the internal lip) of said peripheral guide 12 and with the tooth 23 of the external flap 20 that is accommodated in a seat provided for in said peripheral guide 12 beneath said lip 16.
- the spacer 18 is made of a suitable elastically deformable plastic material with good mechanical characteristics, for example nylon.
- the sign device 1 comprises a shield 32 made of transparent material for covering the inner part of the frame 2, the shield being arranged over the spacer 18 and kept pressed in contact, due to the elasticity of the spacer 18, against lips 29 provided at the internal edges 4d of the vertical pieces 4 and substantially extended along their entire length and lips 28 provided at the internal edges 3d of the horizontal pieces 3 and extended substantially along their entire length, said lips 28 and 29 facing toward the spacer 18, i.e. facing inward the frame 2.
- the shield 32 is firmly held into position when using the device 1 hence advantageously reducing risks of inadvertent dislodgment or intentional tampering.
- the sign is arranged with its own support (for example a paper support) onto the spacer 18 and beneath the shield 32, in such a manner that it is advantageously held in position by pressing contact of the shield 32 against the lips 28 and 29 of the horizontal pieces 3 and of the vertical pieces 4 respectively.
- its own support for example a paper support
- the sign device 1 according to the invention can be fixed onto any surface such a wall, a door etc.
- the guides 12 are provided with holes 33 for the passage of the wall fixing screws 34, the latter cooperating for example with appropriate screw anchors previously arranged in the desired wall.
- mounting the sign device 1 is very easy and requires operations, performable even by non-skilled technicians, in particular such as inserting the fittings 7 into the respective horizontal 3 and vertical 4 tubular pieces to form the frame 2, and coupling of the spacer 18 with the guides 12.
- the frame 2 should be fixed onto the surface by means of fixing screws 34.
- fixing screws 34 Such operation is performed by pre-drilling the final installation wall (possibly using the holes 33 as a guide to mark the surface accurately), then fitting the screw anchors into said holes of the wall and lastly by screwing the screws 34 passing through the holes 33 of the guide 12 into said screw anchors.
- the last step is to insert the support bearing the desired sign and the covering shield 32 into the frame 2.
- a horizontal tubular piece 3 (upper or lower) is removed by dislodging the respective connection fittings 7 from their seats in the vertical tubular pieces 4, in particular using a screwdriver.
- the support bearing the sign is inserted with its vertical edges beneath the lips 29 of the tubular pieces 4 and over the spacer 18 and it is moved vertically until the lower edge (or upper) of the support is fitted beneath the lip 28 of the lower (or upper) horizontal tubular piece 3 not removed.
- Such operation is thus repeated in an analogous manner regarding the covering shield 32 for the support bearing the sign.
- the support bearing the sign lays with its back face (that is the face not bearing the sign) on the surface of the spacer 18 and, together with the covering shield 32, it is kept pressed in contact with its vertical edges and its lower (or upper) horizontal edges against the lips 29 of the vertical tubular pieces 4 and the lip 28 of the lower (or upper) horizontal tubular piece 3 not removed respectively.
- restoration of the horizontal tubular piece 3 previously removed is performed by reinserting the respective fittings 7 into the corresponding seats of the vertical tubular pieces 4 thus obtaining pressure coupling of the horizontal free edge (lower or upper) of the support with the sign and of the shield 32 against the lip 28 of the restored (lower or upper) tubular piece 3 at the same time.
- the device 1 is suitable for the presentation of signs on a support, in particular paper, of UNI A5x70 format but it can also be used for other similar formats, both standard and non-standard, differing from the one indicated in terms of their different vertical dimension (height), such result being obtained simply by varying the vertical dimensions (height) of the tubular pieces 4 and possibly providing for a suitable number of spacers 18 at a preset distance between each other depending on the requirements.
- FIG. 6-10 it is disclosed a sign device according to a second embodiment, the device being globally indicated by reference number 40.
- the structure of the device 40 is entirely equivalent to the one of the device 1 described above but, contrary to the latter, it has some differences indicated hereinafter.
- the device 40 is provided with a plurality of spacers 18 (namely three) mutually spaced from each other, each of them being coupled (engaged) in removable and sliding manner with the guides 12 of the vertical tubular pieces 4 according to the manner previously described in connection with the sign device 1.
- connection fittings 7 have each a through hole 41 provided at the respective plugs 10 for the passage of a screw 42 which engages into a corresponding circular seat 43 provided inside each vertical tubular piece 4.
- the function of the screws 42 cooperating with the respective seats 43 is that of providing greater rigidity and safety against inadvertent loosening of the frame 2 and/or intentional tampering in particular in case of installation in unattended areas (for example public places).
- the installation of the device 40 is entirely analogous to the one of the device 1 described above except for the fact that, in this case, in order to remove a horizontal tubular piece 3 (upper or lower) it is necessary first to decouple (unscrew) the screws 42 from the seats 43 of the fittings 7 connected to said horizontal tubular piece 3. As well as it will be necessary to couple said screws 42 into the respective seats 43 of said fittings again upon restoration of said horizontal tubular piece 3 into the seat (that is after inserting the support bearing the sign and the shield 32 inside the frame 2).
- the device 40 is suitable for the presentation of signs on a support, in particular paper, of UNI A4V format but it can also be used for other similar formats, both standard and non-standard, differing from the one indicated in terms of their different vertical dimension (height), such result being obtained simply by varying the vertical dimensions (height) of the tubular pieces 4 and possibly providing for a suitable number of spacers 18 at a preset distance among each other depending on the requirements.
- FIG. 11-15 it is disclosed a sign device according to a third embodiment, the device being globally indicated by reference number 50.
- the structure of the device 50 is entirely equivalent to the one of the device 40 described above but, unlike the latter, it is intended to be hanged on a wall (instead of being fixed onto it) and thus the upper fittings 7 are further provided with, at the relative plugs 10, of a hole 52 for the passage or a cord (not shown) used for hanging the device 50 onto the abovementioned wall.
- the cord is passed with its free ends into the holes 52 and is slid vertically until it reaches the lower fittings 7 where the cord is coupled with the abovementioned free ends. For this reason, a loop is made at each free end of the cord and the eyelet of each loop is passed through two vertical loopholes 53 made on the inner side of the second end portion 9 of a respective lower fitting 7.
- the coupling of the lower tubular piece 3 with the respective second end portions 9 of the lower fittings 7 partially closes the loopholes 53 hence preventing the eyelets of the cords from dislodging from their respective seats.
- the guides 12 associated to the vertical tubular pieces 4 are not provided with through holes for fixing onto the wall.
- the device 50 is suitable for the presentation of signs on a support, in particular paper, of UNI A4H format given that, in this embodiment, the length of the horizontal tubular pieces 3 is greater then the length of the vertical tubular pieces 4.
- the device 50 can also be used for other similar formats, both standard and non-standard, differing from the one indicated in terms of their different vertical dimension (height), such result being obtained simply by varying the vertical dimensions (height) of the tubular pieces 4 and possibly providing for a suitable number of spacers 18 at a preset distance among each other depending on the requirements.
- FIG. 16-20 and 17A it is disclosed a sign device according to a fourth embodiment, the device being globally indicated by reference number 60.
- the structure of the device 60 is entirely equivalent to the one of the device 1 described above from which it differs in that it also comprises besides the two peripheral guides 12, each associated to a respective vertical tubular piece 4, an intermediate guide 61 joined in a removable manner to both horizontal tubular pieces 3.
- the intermediate guide 61 has a substantially plate-shaped structure extending vertically and its has two opposed reliefs 62 ending with respective lips 63 facing inwards the intermediate guide 61.
- the intermediate guide 61 is constrained to both the horizontal tubular pieces 3 through removable coupling means.
- removable blocking means are implemented in a fitting 65 comprising a plate-shaped portion 66 which can be inserted in a guided manner into a suitable seat delimited by reliefs 62 and lips 63 of the central guide 61, and a pair of elastically deformable flaps 67 arranged in a substantially perpendicular manner with respect to the plate-shaped portion 66, said flaps 67 being engaged into a respective horizontal tubular piece 3.
- each flap 67 is provided with a groove 68 intended to couple/decouple with a corresponding longitudinal relief 69 inside a horizontal tubular piece 3 during the engagement/ disengagement of the intermediate guide 61 at a respective horizontal tubular piece 3.
- the sign device 60 further comprises a plurality of elastically deformable spacers, globally indicated by 18, each of them being associated in a removable and sliding manner to a peripheral guide 12 of a vertical tubular piece 4 and to the intermediate guide 61, in proximity to the respective ends.
- Such spacers 18 are entirely identical to the ones described previously in connection with the devices 1, 40 and 50.
- the device 60 is suitable for the presentation of signs on a support, in particular paper, of UNI A3H format given that, in this embodiment, the length of the horizontal tubular pieces 3, also due to the presence of the intermediate guide 61, is greater than the length of the vertical tubular pieces 4.
- the device 60 can also be used for other similar formats, both standard and non-standard.
- the intermediate guide 61 due to the presence of the intermediate guide 61 and the characteristic of UNI formats of doubling its dimensions from one format to the other, it is possible to obtain any UNI format, in any layout, simply by using a few spacers 18 of suitable standard dimensions (ex. A5, A4, A3) joined to each other according to any suitable modular construction. In such manner, considerable reduction of costs and investments are attained.
- the device 60 according to the present embodiment can also be modified in such a manner to include the teachings of devices 40 and/or 50 described previously.
- the fittings 7 can be drilled for the passage of the respective screws which are engaged into the corresponding circular seats 43 provided inside each vertical tubular piece 4, as already described previously in connection with the device 40 and/or the upper fittings 7 can be drilled for the passage of a cord thus providing for hanging the device 60 onto a wall according to the description already outlined previously in connection with the device 50.
- the structure of the device 70 is of the modular type and, in the present embodiment, it comprises a lower module 71 made up of a device entirely analogous to device 40 described above, and an upper module 72 made up of a device entirely analogous device 1 described above, said lower 71 and upper 72 modules being connected to each other through suitable connection means.
- connection means replace the upper horizontal tubular piece 3 of the lower module 71, the lower horizontal tubular piece 3 of the upper module 72 as well as the related fittings 7 for connecting to the respective vertical tubular pieces 4, and they comprise a horizontal section 73 with a substantially cross-shaped transverse section and a pair of fittings 74, said horizontal section being coupled with the respective ends in corresponding seats 75 provided in first portions 76 of said fittings 74 and said fittings 74 having each two second portions 77 substantially opposed having a transverse section such to be engaged by means of shape coupling in corresponding seats arranged respectively at the lower end of a vertical tubular piece 4 of the upper module 72 and at the upper end of a vertical tubular piece 4 of the lower module 71.
- the modular device 70 can be advantageously employed to integrate in a single device various signs on two separate supports which are therefore positioned in the lower module 71 and the upper module 72 respectively.
- the modular device 70 can be advantageously employed to integrate additional signs to a sign device (or module) already operating, such as for example any one of the ones described previously.
- additional devices or module
- the integration of an additional device (or module) occurs according to the invention maintaining almost all the components of the pre-existing device (or module) hence implying a considerable reduction of costs.
- installation of the additional device (module) is very easy given that it does not require the removal of the pre-existing device from the wall.
- FIG. 26 it is disclosed a sign device according to a sixth embodiment, the device being globally indicated by reference number 80.
- the structure of the device 80 is also of the modular type and, in the present embodiment, it comprises a lower module 81 and an upper module 82 both made up of a device entirely analogous to the device 50 described above, said lower module 81 and upper module 82 being connected to each other by means of suitable connection means.

Abstract
Description
- In its most general aspect, the present invention regards a sign device for various types of environments such, as a non-limiting example, offices and public areas.
- In particular, the present invention regards a sign device of the modular type.
- In the present invention the term "sign" means the group of signs or a single sign capable of providing directions and/or information regarding things and/or people and/or of the logistic type such as, for a non-limiting example, route directions and directions in buildings.
In addition, the sign device is provided with means for fixing it at the installation site, such as for example a wall or a pillar depending on the specific requirements.
- Though the abovementioned sign devices are substantially satisfactory and meet the objectives they are intended for, they have a serious drawback, to date not yet solved, lying in the fact that they require to be made specifically for any sign presentation requirement, hence entailing considerable manufacturing costs of the respective moulds or extrusion matrices for every size of product as well as sometimes also a certain degree of construction complexity.
- Furthermore, it should be observed that with the advent of widespread access to information technology many end users are personally capable of producing the desired signs in form of labels on a medium frequently made of paper, by means of a personal computer (PC), a printer and a suitable software all of which being currently extensively available and at accessible prices. Regarding this, it would be advisable to provide a sign device capable of covering various sheet formats, especially the most common ones useable on office printers (ex. inkjet or laser), without necessarily requiring a specific device for each format.
- Such problem is overcome by a sign device characterised in that it comprises first elements and second elements associated to each other at respective end parts to form a frame delimited internally by edges of said first elements and edges of said second elements, and at least one spacer associated in a removable manner to said first elements or said second elements, said at least one spacer being arranged in said frame to accommodate in supporting manner a preset sign inserted into said frame and held into position by means of coupling with said edges of said first elements and/or said edges of said second elements.
- Preferably, said at least one spacer is arranged at a slightly rear position with respect to said edges of said first elements and said edges of said second elements.
- Preferably, said at least one spacer is elastically deformable in such a manner to keep said signs pressed in contact, direct or indirect, against the edges of said first elements or the edges of said second elements.
- Further characteristics and advantages of the sign device according to the invention shall be clearer from the description of some preferred embodiments outlined hereinafter, said description being provided for indicative and non-limiting purposes with reference to the attached drawings.

Figure 45 represents a perspective view of a portion of a sign device according to a thirteenth embodiment of the invention; - Referring to
figures 1-5 , a sign device according to the invention is indicated in its entirety by 1. - The
device 1 comprises two opposed verticaltubular pieces 4 and two oppositely positioned horizontaltubular pieces 3 associated to each other at their respective end parts to form aframe 2 delimited internally byedges 3d of the horizontaltubular pieces 3 and byedges 4d of the verticaltubular pieces 4. In particular, in the present embodiment, the horizontaltubular pieces 3 are longer with respect to the verticaltubular pieces 4. - Preferably, the vertical
tubular pieces 4 and the horizontaltubular pieces 3 are made of metal material, in particular aluminium, by means of extrusion or moulding processes of per se conventional type. Obviously, they can be made of material different from metal, for example plastic material. - As shown in
figure 2 , the verticaltubular pieces 4 are opened laterally inwards thedevice 1 along the entire respective length, they have a substantially trapezoidal transverse section and they are delimited by a front wall 4a, arear wall 4b having smaller dimensions than the wall 4a and a side wall 4c fitted slanted onto the front wall 4a and onto therear wall 4b. - Instead, the horizontal
tubular pieces 3 have a substantially square-shaped transverse section and they are partially opened at the rear part along ahorizontal section 5 extending along their entire length and they are also provided with a rear appendage 5a. - The horizontal 3 and vertical 4 tubular pieces of which the
frame 2 is made, are joined to each other by means of respective angular fittings globally indicated by 7, eachangular fitting 7 joining by means of head-tail coupling the adjacent ends of a horizontaltubular piece 3 and a verticaltubular piece 4. - In particular, each
angular fitting 7 comprises afirst end portion 8 having a transverse trapezoidal section substantially complementary with the portion of a verticaltubular piece 4, in such a manner to obtain a shape coupling in such verticaltubular piece 4, and asecond end portion 9 having a square-shaped transverse section substantially complementary with the portion of a horizontaltubular piece 3 in such a manner to obtain a shape coupling inside such horizontaltubular piece 3. - Furthermore, each
angular fitting 7 comprises a flat shapedplug 10 made integral above thefirst end portion 8, theplug 10 having a transverse section and dimension corresponding to the ones of a verticaltubular piece 4 so as to cover in an accurate manner the end of said verticaltubular piece 4 upon insertion of thefirst end portion 8 into it, and having a preset thickness so as to have its surface flush with the upper surface of a horizontaltubular piece 3, in a kind of continuity, upon insertion of thesecond end portion 9 into said horizontaltubular piece 3. - In such manner an excellent aesthetic effect is obtained due to the absence of parts projecting form the tubular shapes of the horizontal 3 and vertical 4 pieces.
- Preferably, the
angular fittings 7 are made of plastic material by means of per se conventional moulding processes. - Furthermore, the
sign device 1 according to the invention comprises twoperipheral guides 12, each associated to a respective verticaltubular piece 4. - In particular, in the present embodiment, each
peripheral guide 12 is made integral with the respective verticaltubular piece 4 starting from therear wall 4b in a kind of internal appendage of saidpiece 4 or of inward prolongation of saidrear wall 4b. - Still more in particular, each
guide 12 has a substantially plate-shaped structure, it extends vertically along the entire length of the respective verticaltubular piece 4 and it has two oppositely positionedreliefs 15 ending withrespective lips 16 facing inwards saidguide 12. - Additionally, the
sign device 1 comprises an elastically deformable spacer, globally indicated by 18, associated in a removable and sliding manner to bothperipheral guides 12 of the verticaltubular pieces 4 in proximity to their ends. - In particular, in the present embodiment, the
spacer 18 comprises an arched and elasticallydeformable arm 19 and a pair of elastically deformable flaps made integral in proximity to each of the opposed ends of thearm 19, each pair of flaps comprising anexternal flap 20 andinternal flap 21 opposed to each other and substantially perpendicular to saidarm 19. - Each pair made up of an
external flap 20 and aninternal flap 21 of anarm 19 allows the coupling/decoupling of thespacer 18 with a respectiveperipheral guide 12 of a verticaltubular piece 4. - More in particular, it should be observed that each
external flap 20 has, at the free end, atooth 23 facing toward the respectiveinternal flap 21 while eachinternal flap 21 has atooth 30 facing toward theexternal flap 20 and at a preset distance with respect to its free end. - In this way, the
spacer 18 can be snap-coupled in a removable and sliding manner to aperipheral guide 12 of a verticaltubular piece 4 by means of a pair offlaps tooth 30 of theinternal flap 21 that abuts from above against a lip 16 (precisely the internal lip) of saidperipheral guide 12 and with thetooth 23 of theexternal flap 20 that is accommodated in a seat provided for in saidperipheral guide 12 beneath saidlip 16. - Advantageously, the
spacer 18 is made of a suitable elastically deformable plastic material with good mechanical characteristics, for example nylon. - Furthermore, the
sign device 1 comprises ashield 32 made of transparent material for covering the inner part of theframe 2, the shield being arranged over thespacer 18 and kept pressed in contact, due to the elasticity of thespacer 18, againstlips 29 provided at theinternal edges 4d of thevertical pieces 4 and substantially extended along their entire length andlips 28 provided at theinternal edges 3d of thehorizontal pieces 3 and extended substantially along their entire length, saidlips spacer 18, i.e. facing inward theframe 2. - In such manner, the
shield 32 is firmly held into position when using thedevice 1 hence advantageously reducing risks of inadvertent dislodgment or intentional tampering. - Regarding the presentation of the desired signs, the sign is arranged with its own support (for example a paper support) onto the
spacer 18 and beneath theshield 32, in such a manner that it is advantageously held in position by pressing contact of theshield 32 against thelips horizontal pieces 3 and of thevertical pieces 4 respectively. - The
sign device 1 according to the invention can be fixed onto any surface such a wall, a door etc. - Regarding this, it should be observed that the
guides 12 are provided withholes 33 for the passage of the wall fixing screws 34, the latter cooperating for example with appropriate screw anchors previously arranged in the desired wall. - It can be observed that mounting the
sign device 1 is very easy and requires operations, performable even by non-skilled technicians, in particular such as inserting thefittings 7 into the respective horizontal 3 and vertical 4 tubular pieces to form theframe 2, and coupling of thespacer 18 with theguides 12. - With regard to the installation of the
device 1 onto the application wall, it should be observed that once theframe 2 has been formed and thespacer 18 coupled with the guides 12 (operations which can be optionally already performed in the factory), theframe 2 should be fixed onto the surface by means of fixing screws 34. Such operation is performed by pre-drilling the final installation wall (possibly using theholes 33 as a guide to mark the surface accurately), then fitting the screw anchors into said holes of the wall and lastly by screwing thescrews 34 passing through theholes 33 of theguide 12 into said screw anchors. - At this point, the last step is to insert the support bearing the desired sign and the
covering shield 32 into theframe 2. In order to perform these operations, first and foremost a horizontal tubular piece 3 (upper or lower) is removed by dislodging therespective connection fittings 7 from their seats in the verticaltubular pieces 4, in particular using a screwdriver. Then, the support bearing the sign is inserted with its vertical edges beneath thelips 29 of thetubular pieces 4 and over thespacer 18 and it is moved vertically until the lower edge (or upper) of the support is fitted beneath thelip 28 of the lower (or upper) horizontaltubular piece 3 not removed. Such operation is thus repeated in an analogous manner regarding the coveringshield 32 for the support bearing the sign. In such manner, the support bearing the sign lays with its back face (that is the face not bearing the sign) on the surface of thespacer 18 and, together with the coveringshield 32, it is kept pressed in contact with its vertical edges and its lower (or upper) horizontal edges against thelips 29 of the verticaltubular pieces 4 and thelip 28 of the lower (or upper) horizontaltubular piece 3 not removed respectively. Lastly, to complete the installation, restoration of the horizontaltubular piece 3 previously removed is performed by reinserting therespective fittings 7 into the corresponding seats of the verticaltubular pieces 4 thus obtaining pressure coupling of the horizontal free edge (lower or upper) of the support with the sign and of theshield 32 against thelip 28 of the restored (lower or upper)tubular piece 3 at the same time. - Advantageously, the
device 1 is suitable for the presentation of signs on a support, in particular paper, of UNI A5x70 format but it can also be used for other similar formats, both standard and non-standard, differing from the one indicated in terms of their different vertical dimension (height), such result being obtained simply by varying the vertical dimensions (height) of thetubular pieces 4 and possibly providing for a suitable number ofspacers 18 at a preset distance between each other depending on the requirements. - Now, referring to
figures 6-10 , it is disclosed a sign device according to a second embodiment, the device being globally indicated byreference number 40. - Elements of the
device 40 which are structurally or functionally equivalent to corresponding elements of thesign device 1 described above shall be indicated with the same reference numbers as the latter. Furthermore, for description simplification purposes, such structurally or functionally equivalent elements shall not be described further, unless where strictly required to understand the present invention. - The structure of the
device 40 is entirely equivalent to the one of thedevice 1 described above but, contrary to the latter, it has some differences indicated hereinafter. - First and foremost, it shall be observed that height of the vertical
tubular pieces 4 is greater and that, consequently, thedevice 40 is provided with a plurality of spacers 18 (namely three) mutually spaced from each other, each of them being coupled (engaged) in removable and sliding manner with theguides 12 of the verticaltubular pieces 4 according to the manner previously described in connection with thesign device 1. - Furthermore, in the
device 40, theconnection fittings 7 have each a throughhole 41 provided at therespective plugs 10 for the passage of ascrew 42 which engages into a correspondingcircular seat 43 provided inside each verticaltubular piece 4. - The function of the
screws 42 cooperating with therespective seats 43 is that of providing greater rigidity and safety against inadvertent loosening of theframe 2 and/or intentional tampering in particular in case of installation in unattended areas (for example public places). - The installation of the
device 40 is entirely analogous to the one of thedevice 1 described above except for the fact that, in this case, in order to remove a horizontal tubular piece 3 (upper or lower) it is necessary first to decouple (unscrew) thescrews 42 from theseats 43 of thefittings 7 connected to said horizontaltubular piece 3. As well as it will be necessary to couple saidscrews 42 into therespective seats 43 of said fittings again upon restoration of said horizontaltubular piece 3 into the seat (that is after inserting the support bearing the sign and theshield 32 inside the frame 2). - Advantageously, the
device 40 is suitable for the presentation of signs on a support, in particular paper, of UNI A4V format but it can also be used for other similar formats, both standard and non-standard, differing from the one indicated in terms of their different vertical dimension (height), such result being obtained simply by varying the vertical dimensions (height) of thetubular pieces 4 and possibly providing for a suitable number ofspacers 18 at a preset distance among each other depending on the requirements. - Referring now to
figures 11-15 , it is disclosed a sign device according to a third embodiment, the device being globally indicated byreference number 50. - Elements of the
device 50 which are structurally or functionally equivalent to corresponding elements of the sign devices described above shall be indicated with the same reference numbers as the latter. Furthermore, for description simplification purposes, such structurally or functionally equivalent elements shall not be described further, unless where strictly required to understand the present invention. - The structure of the
device 50 is entirely equivalent to the one of thedevice 40 described above but, unlike the latter, it is intended to be hanged on a wall (instead of being fixed onto it) and thus theupper fittings 7 are further provided with, at the relative plugs 10, of ahole 52 for the passage or a cord (not shown) used for hanging thedevice 50 onto the abovementioned wall. - More in particular, the cord is passed with its free ends into the
holes 52 and is slid vertically until it reaches thelower fittings 7 where the cord is coupled with the abovementioned free ends. For this reason, a loop is made at each free end of the cord and the eyelet of each loop is passed through twovertical loopholes 53 made on the inner side of thesecond end portion 9 of a respectivelower fitting 7. When mounting thedevice 50, given that the horizontaltubular pieces 3 are only partially open at the rear part, the coupling of the lowertubular piece 3 with the respectivesecond end portions 9 of thelower fittings 7 partially closes theloopholes 53 hence preventing the eyelets of the cords from dislodging from their respective seats. - Furthermore, unlike the
device 40 described above, in thedevice 50 theguides 12 associated to the verticaltubular pieces 4 are not provided with through holes for fixing onto the wall. - Advantageously, the
device 50 is suitable for the presentation of signs on a support, in particular paper, of UNI A4H format given that, in this embodiment, the length of the horizontaltubular pieces 3 is greater then the length of the verticaltubular pieces 4. - Obviously, the
device 50 can also be used for other similar formats, both standard and non-standard, differing from the one indicated in terms of their different vertical dimension (height), such result being obtained simply by varying the vertical dimensions (height) of thetubular pieces 4 and possibly providing for a suitable number ofspacers 18 at a preset distance among each other depending on the requirements. - Referring now to
figures 16-20 and17A , it is disclosed a sign device according to a fourth embodiment, the device being globally indicated byreference number 60. - Elements of the
device 60 which are structurally or functionally equivalent to corresponding elements of the sign devices described above shall be indicated with the same reference numbers as the latter. Furthermore, for description simplification purposes, such structurally or functionally equivalent elements shall not be described further, unless where strictly required to understand the present invention. - The structure of the
device 60 is entirely equivalent to the one of thedevice 1 described above from which it differs in that it also comprises besides the twoperipheral guides 12, each associated to a respective verticaltubular piece 4, anintermediate guide 61 joined in a removable manner to both horizontaltubular pieces 3. - In particular, the
intermediate guide 61 has a substantially plate-shaped structure extending vertically and its has two opposed reliefs 62 ending withrespective lips 63 facing inwards theintermediate guide 61. - In the
sign device 60, theintermediate guide 61 is constrained to both the horizontaltubular pieces 3 through removable coupling means. In the present embodiment, such removable blocking means are implemented in a fitting 65 comprising a plate-shapedportion 66 which can be inserted in a guided manner into a suitable seat delimited by reliefs 62 andlips 63 of thecentral guide 61, and a pair of elasticallydeformable flaps 67 arranged in a substantially perpendicular manner with respect to the plate-shapedportion 66, said flaps 67 being engaged into a respective horizontaltubular piece 3. - In particular, each
flap 67 is provided with agroove 68 intended to couple/decouple with a correspondinglongitudinal relief 69 inside a horizontaltubular piece 3 during the engagement/ disengagement of theintermediate guide 61 at a respective horizontaltubular piece 3. - The
sign device 60 further comprises a plurality of elastically deformable spacers, globally indicated by 18, each of them being associated in a removable and sliding manner to aperipheral guide 12 of a verticaltubular piece 4 and to theintermediate guide 61, in proximity to the respective ends. -
Such spacers 18 are entirely identical to the ones described previously in connection with thedevices - Advantageously, the
device 60 is suitable for the presentation of signs on a support, in particular paper, of UNI A3H format given that, in this embodiment, the length of the horizontaltubular pieces 3, also due to the presence of theintermediate guide 61, is greater than the length of the verticaltubular pieces 4. - Obviously, the
device 60 can also be used for other similar formats, both standard and non-standard. In particular, due to the presence of theintermediate guide 61 and the characteristic of UNI formats of doubling its dimensions from one format to the other, it is possible to obtain any UNI format, in any layout, simply by using afew spacers 18 of suitable standard dimensions (ex. A5, A4, A3) joined to each other according to any suitable modular construction. In such manner, considerable reduction of costs and investments are attained. - Obviously, the
device 60 according to the present embodiment can also be modified in such a manner to include the teachings ofdevices 40 and/or 50 described previously. For example, thefittings 7 can be drilled for the passage of the respective screws which are engaged into the correspondingcircular seats 43 provided inside each verticaltubular piece 4, as already described previously in connection with thedevice 40 and/or theupper fittings 7 can be drilled for the passage of a cord thus providing for hanging thedevice 60 onto a wall according to the description already outlined previously in connection with thedevice 50. - Referring now to
figures 21-25 , it is disclosed a sign device according to a fifth embodiment, the device being globally indicated byreference number 70. - Elements of the
device 70 which are structurally or functionally equivalent to corresponding elements of the sign devices described above shall be indicated with the same reference numbers as the latter. Furthermore, for description simplification purposes, such structurally or functionally equivalent elements shall not be described further, unless where strictly required to understand the present invention. - The structure of the
device 70 is of the modular type and, in the present embodiment, it comprises alower module 71 made up of a device entirely analogous todevice 40 described above, and anupper module 72 made up of a device entirelyanalogous device 1 described above, said lower 71 and upper 72 modules being connected to each other through suitable connection means. - In this embodiment, such connection means replace the upper horizontal
