In gleicher Weise sollte auch eine Anordnung des Behandlungsstuhls 10 auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite der Basis 2 ermöglicht sein, um eine Nutzung auch durch Linkshänder zu ermöglichen. Hierzu ist an der dem Trägerarm 30 zugewandten Seite der Säule 23 eine Führungsschiene 50 vorgesehen, auf der ein Schlitten 51 bewegbar gelagert ist, wobei der Schlitten 51 ferner auch mit der Antriebsspindel 22 gekoppelt und mit dem Trägerarm 30 verbunden ist. Eine reibungsfrei Führung des Schlittens 51 in vertikaler Richtung wird dadurch erzielt, dass innerhalb des Schlittens 51 Kugeln gelagert sind, welche entlang von Laufflächen abrollen können, die an Seitenflächen der Führungsschiene 50 ausgebildet sind. Hinsichtlich der weiteren Eigenschaften dieses zweiten Ausführungsbeispiels kann auf die Ausführungen zu dem ersten Ausführungsbeispiel verwiesen werden.     characterised in that
    the bearer arm or arms (30, 40) is/are of tubular construction.
  4. A dental-treatment chair according to one of the preceding claims,
    characterised in that
    the bearer arm or arms (30, 40) is/are of Z-like construction.
  5. A dental-treatment chair according to one of the preceding claims,
    characterised in that
    it is possible to dispose the bearer arm or arms (30, 40), and thereby the seat bench (11), on both sides of the base (2).
  6. A dental-treatment chair according to one of the preceding claims,
    characterised in that
    the drive (20) is constituted by a spindle drive with a driving spindle (22) which is oriented vertically in the base (2).
  7. A dental-treatment chair according to one of claims 1 to 5,
    characterised in that
    the drive is constituted by a pneumatic or hydraulic drive.
  8. A dental-treatment chair according to one of the preceding claims,
    characterised in that
    the bearer arm (30, 40) is mounted, by means of a recirculating ball guide, on a vertical guide element (23) located in the base.
  9. A dental-treatment station (1) having a central console for holding, supplying and/or activating dental-treatment and/or inspection instruments and also having a treatment chair (10),
    characterised in that
    the treatment chair (10) is designed in accordance with one of the preceding claims, wherein the console of the treatment station (1) at the same time constitutes the base of the treatment chair (10).
