Abstract

Connector suitable for the connection of the enclosure ends (5) to a wall or post (1), comprises at least one first piece (2,2',2") equipped with a first span (3,3',3") which houses a routing (4) intended to receive the enclosure end (5), and a second span (7,7',7") for coupling to the wall or post (1), and at least one screw (6) which establishes the connection between the enclosure end (5) and the first piece (2,2',2"). In accordance to this solution there is no need to cut the enclosure to an exact measurement of the enclosure since the depth of the routing (4) allows it to absorb the possible dimensional irregularities. The invention allows the use of cut on-site enclosure modules.

Description

    OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to an anchoring mechanism for the connection of enclosures such as railings, fences, grilles and such like to a vertical post or to the wall.
  • The object of the invention consists of providing the enclosure with a means of fastening to the post or wall which permits a comfortable and quick assembly, and which, at the same time, allows it to absorb the possible dimensional deviations of the enclosure.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • To date, most enclosures are made with fixed structures, cut to size depending on the hollow to be closed, establishing the connection with the metal posts by means of welding.
  • This type of connection is bothersome as if the manufacturing tolerances of the enclosure are not respected the assembly thereof becomes difficult. Likewise, the connection by welding requires the participation of people skilled in the art in this task.
  • A solution is known wherein the railing is equipped on one of its sides, specifically at its upper and lower ends of each vertical bar or L-shaped profiles, with a rivet hole, followed whereby is a nut, said rivet hole and nut being fitted for the passage of a corresponding stud which starts from the vertical post whereto the railing is fastened.
  • In accordance with this fastening system, the railing must be cut to a set measurement, without there being room for errors in the length thereof so that a secure connection can be established between the post and the railing, since the nut must be perfectly screwed to the stud.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • The mechanism proposed by the present invention fundamentally incorporates a first piece equipped with a first prismatic span which is made up of a horizontal routing fitted for the telescopic reception of one of the ends of the enclosure, for example grilles or railings, and with a second span for coupling to the post or wall, either directly articulated on a second piece couplable to the post or wall.
  • The routing of the first span features the same shape as the end of the post and slightly larger dimensions than the section of said end of the post with the purpose of facilitating the coupling between both pieces, and disposes of a suitable depth which permits the telescopic adaptation of the end of the post on said first span of the first piece in the required measurement. Once the end of the post has been introduced, the connection is ensured by means of at least one screw which establishes the link between this end and the first piece.
  • The fact that the first piece disposes of this routing permits the telescopic adaptation of the end of the post, so in accordance with this solution there is no need to cut the enclosure to an exact measurement of the enclosure, since the depth of the routing allows it to absorb the possible dimensional irregularities or deviations.
  • Therefore, the assembly is much simpler, faster and practical than that carried out by using welding as a connection method, which means that it can be performed by people not skilled in the art.
  • Likewise, it should be pointed out that as an advantage, standard measurement enclosure modules could be used which would be cut on-site without the necessity of making said cut with great precision, and it could assembled immediately thereafter.
  • The cuts made also remain hidden within the routing of the fastening piece, thereby contributing to an improved aesthetic of the finished product which can be painted afterwards. Also, possible burrs produced after the sectioning of the end, and which can cause a risk of cutting, are prevented.
  • The anchoring mechanism of the invention permits its use in various types of enclosures or surfaces to be closed, such as railings, grilles, fences, adapting these to the hollows to be covered by the enclosure, whether directly linking them to the side posts, to pillars or to the wall, in the case of a window hollow, for example, with the collaboration of nuts and bolts, screw plugs, hinge bolts, etc.
  • In accordance with one possible embodiment, it is contemplated that the anchoring mechanism solely incorporates the aforementioned first piece which would be formed by the first span with its routing and a second span perpendicular to the first span equipped with at least one rivet hole for the passage of at least one screw which would attach it to the wall or post, adopting a right angle configuration.
  • According to another possible alternative to the first embodiment, it is contemplated that the anchoring mechanism comprises a second piece which attaches to the wall or post and whereto articulates, with the collaboration of a means of articulation and/or intermediate fastening, the second span of the first piece, in this case defined following the first span.
  • In accordance with this alternative embodiment wherein the anchoring mechanism is formed by two pieces, the first piece can articulate either on the horizontal plane or on the vertical plane.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • In order to complement the description being carried out and with the purpose of helping towards a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, in accordance with a preferred example of practical embodiment thereof, a set of drawings is attached as an integral part of said description, wherein the following, in an illustrative and non-limitative character, has been represented:
    • Figure 1 shows a perspective view of an enclosure in its connection with a vertical post by means of anchoring mechanisms conforming to a first embodiment of the invention.
    • Figure 2 shows a cross-sectional view of the fastening piece which forms part of the anchoring mechanism.
    • Figure 3 shows a perspective view of a second embodiment of the anchoring mechanism formed by two articulatable pieces on the horizontal plane.
    • Figure 4 shows a perspective view of a third embodiment of the anchoring mechanism formed by two articulatable pieces on the vertical plane.
    PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
  • In view of the figures shown, a series of embodiments of the anchoring mechanism which constitutes the object of this invention are described below:
