Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur Erkennung gefälschter Wertdokumente, bei dem die Wertdokumente mit getaktetem Anregungslicht einer Lichtquelle beleuchtet werden. Innerhalb der Hellphase des Anregungslichts wird eine erste Lumineszenzintensität erfasst, innerhalb der Dunkelphase eine zweite Lumineszenzintensität. Aufgrund des Nachleuchtens der Lichtpulse ergibt sich eine Restfluoreszenz, die die Lumineszenzintensität in der Dunkelphase verfälscht. Durch Verknüpfen der zweiten Lumineszenzintensität mit der ersten Lumineszenzintensität, z.B. durch Subtraktion einer skalierten ersten Lumineszenzintensität, wird eine korrigierte zweite Lumineszenzintensität bestimmt, die im Wesentlichen dem Phosphoreszenzsignal des Wertdokuments entspricht.

The invention relates to a method and a device for detecting forged value documents, in which the value documents are illuminated with clocked excitation light of a light source. Within the light phase of the excitation light a first luminescence intensity is detected, within the dark phase a second luminescence intensity. Due to the afterglow of the light pulses results in a residual fluorescence, which falsifies the luminescence intensity in the dark phase. By combining the second luminescence intensity with the first luminescence intensity, for example by subtracting a scaled first luminescence intensity, a corrected second luminescence intensity is determined, which substantially corresponds to the phosphorescence signal of the value document.
