characterised in that- the consolidated web is structured by the action of water jets on the other face of the web at a pressure of from 180 to 220 bar, preferably from 190 to 210 bar, said jets coming from an injector having three rows of jets with a diameter of from 100 to 140 µm, preferably from 110 to 130 µm, the spacing between the outlet orifices of the jets in the same row being from 0.5 mm to 1.5 mm, the distance between the straight line passing through the centres of the outlet orifices of one row and the straight line passing through those of an adjacent row being from 0.25 to 1.2 mm, the distance between the perpendicular to said straight line of a row passing through one of its orifices and the perpendicular to said straight line of an adjacent row passing through the orifice closest to said one orifice is from 0.25 to 0.75 mm. - Installation for the production of a nonwoven, comprising:- a spunbond tower (1) which sends a web to a device (7, 8, 9) for consolidation by means of water jets projected onto one of the faces of the web in order to obtain a consolidated web which is sent to a device (9, 10) for structuring, especially to a device for perforating, by means of water jets, characterised in that the structuring device is arranged so as to project jets onto the other face of the consolidated web and comprises three rows of jets with a diameter of from 100 to 140 µm, preferably from 110 to 130 µm, the spacing between the outlet orifices of the jets in the same row being from 0.5 to 1.5 mm, the distance between the straight line passing through the centres of the outlet orifices of one row and the straight line passing through those of an adjacent row being from 0.25 to 1.2 mm, and the distance between the perpendicular to said straight line of a row passing through one of its orifices and the perpendicular to said straight line of an adjacent row passing through the orifice closest to said one orifice is from 0.25 to 0.75 mm.
- Nonwoven made of polypropylene filaments and structured by means of structures, preferably by means of perforations, having a diameter of from 1 to 3 mm with a degree of structuring such that the ratio of the structured surface to the total surface is from 20 to 60%, the spacing between the structures, which is defined by the distance between the centres of the structures, being from 3 to 5 mm, the nonwoven having a tensile strength in a first direction of from 100 to 150 N/50 mm and in a second direction, perpendicular to the first, of from 80 to 120 N/50 mm and a grammage of from 30 to 60 g per m2, the decline in surface tension being from 100 to 150 V.
- Nonwoven according to claim 11, characterised in that the perforations are free of filaments passing through them.
- Nonwoven according to claims 11 and 12, characterised in that the areas between the perforations are free of loops formed by filaments on their surface.
