Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum Transport eines flachen Gegenstands (Ps1, Ps2, ...), insbesondere einer Postsendung, über eine Förderstrecke (FS1). Die Transportvorrichtung weist zwei Förderelemente (F3, VS1), einen Dickensensor (10) und eine Lückenveränderungseinrichtung auf. Mit Hilfe des Dickensensors (10) wird die Dicke des Gegenstands (Ps1, Ps2, ...) gemessen, bevor der Gegenstand (Ps1, Ps2, ...) die Förderstrecke (FS1) erreicht. Mit Hilfe der Lückenveränderungseinrichtung wird die Lücke zwischen den beiden Förderelementen (F3, VS1) auf einen berechneten Wert eingestellt. Durch dieses Einstellen wird bewirkt, dass nach dem Einstellen die Lücke kleiner als die gemessene Dicke und die Differenz zwischen der gemessenen Dicke und der Lücke kleiner als eine vorgegebene Schranke ist. Dieses Einstellen wird abgeschlossen, bevor der Gegenstand (Ps1, Ps2, ...) die Förderstrecke (FS1) erreicht. Die beiden Förderelemente (F3, VS1) klemmen den Gegenstand (Ps1, Ps2, ...) zeitweise zwischen sich ein und transportieren den eingeklemmten Gegenstand (Ps1, Ps2, ...) über die Förderstrecke (FS1).
