Description

The present invention relates to a protective helmet and in particular an improvement of the holding means and comfort of said helmet, and more particularly a headband.

Protective helmets are already known which are used in various fields and worn by various users such as cyclists, motorcyclists, firemen, skiers and others, such as soldiers, pilots of aircraft or helicopters . All current helmets, whatever their use, comprise an outer rigid shell having the general shape of at least a portion of a sphere and whose cavity thus formed comprises protective and comfort padding elements intended to fit the head of the user. Thus, the helmets generally comprise a headband which allows the helmet to be wedged and adapted to the peripheral dimension of the head of the user.

In traditional helmets the headband bands are of different sizes or are adjustable in peripheral dimensions so that their size is adapted to the peripheral dimension of the head of the user.

It is also known from the document US 3 510 879 A to employ a protective helmet comprising a headband band attached to a support piece by means of rivets, where the support piece is also fixed on the shell of the helmet. The use of rivets, however, has drawbacks in terms of assembly, the possibility of replacement and maintenance, and also comfort. It is also known from the document US 3 510 879 A to employ a protective helmet comprising a headband band attached to a support piece by means of rivets, where the support piece is also fixed on the shell of the helmet. The use of rivets, however, has drawbacks in terms of assembly, possibility of replacement and maintenance, and also comfort.

The present invention aims to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks by means of simpler, reliable and easy to implement. The present invention therefore has the objective of strengthening the maintenance of the helmet while increasing the comfort for the user by refining the adjustment and positioning of the helmet on his head.

Ainsi, le casque de protection de l'invention, est conforme à la revendication 1.Thus, the protective helmet of the invention is in accordance with claim 1.

According to a complementary feature, the headband strip is fixed at several points to the support member by hooking means cooperating with complementary fastening means integral with the support piece.

According to another characteristic, the fastening means connected to the strip are projections cooperating with complementary means integral with the support piece.

Note that according to the mode illustrated by way of example, at least two complementary attachment means are arranged on a deformable longitudinal tab respectively secured by one of its ends to the support piece, while the headband is fixed to the support part in at least five attachment points, namely two points before two lateral points and two rear points.

According to another characteristic, the attachment means before the two front points of the headband are constituted by two lateral projections comprising a latching disk intended to be engaged in a corresponding slide constituting the complementary attachment means of the part support.

Let us add that the lateral attachment means of the lateral points of the headband are constituted by two lateral projections comprising a vertically extending latching bar intended to be engaged in a corresponding light constituting the complementary coupling means of the latch. support member, while the rear hooking means of the rear points of the headband headband are constituted by two rear projections comprising a vertically extending hooking bar intended to be engaged in a corresponding notched slot constituting the means of complementary attachment of the support part.

It has been understood that, thanks to the invention, the comfort of the helmet is greatly improved because the straps of the traditional helmet-retaining helmets created hard spots on the skull of the wearer.

It was also understood that the management of purchases and stocks was facilitated through the design of the headband and its support it is possible to have only one size of shell to cover all head dimensions.

The protective helmet represented as an example to Figures 1 to 6 bearing the general reference (1) is in particular a soldier's helmet, of the type for example of infantryman, which has a longitudinal plane of general symmetry (P) which comprises in known manner a main outer shell (2).

The main outer shell (2) consists of a substantially spherical wall portion of a generally vertical plane of symmetry (P) which is advantageously made of composite material of the type comprising a stack of layers of reinforcing fibers, impregnated and bonded together by a resin matrix. The fibers may be glass, aramid, nylon, polyethylene or carbon fibers, while the matrix may be a thermosetting or thermoplastic resin. Of course, the shell could be any other material such as, for example, steel.

The main outer shell (2) comprises a plurality of wall portions, as shown in FIG. figure 1 , namely an upper wall front portion (4) extended rearwardly by an upper rear wall portion (5a), itself extended downwardly by a lower rear wall portion (6), and comprises, elsewhere, two side wall portions (7). The upper front portion (4) corresponds to the area occupied by the user's forehead and is limited by the upper edge (8) of the facial opening (3) which, in turn, is limited laterally by two side edges. (9). The upper rear wall portion (5a) corresponds to the area occupied by the cranial box of the user, while the lower rear wall portion (6) corresponds to the area occupied by the neck of the user. Add to this that the wall of the shell is limited downward by a lower border (10). The lateral wall portions (7) correspond to the areas occupied by the user's ears and are limited forwardly by the corresponding lateral border (9) of the facial opening (3) and downwards by the lower border (10).

La coiffe du casque selon l'invention est reliée à la coque par l'intermédiaire d'une pièce support (5).Moreover, as shown in figure 2 , the inner enclosure of the main shell (2) comprises a cap (3) constituted, for example, by a layer of foam bonded to the inner face of the shell and a deformable cap (4) for adaptation headphones to the volume and shape of the user's head. Said deformable cap is, for example, constituted by a set of flexible material elements such as a fishnet, see leather or textile straps or the like, connected to the shell (2). The headgear of the helmet according to the invention is connected to the shell by means of a support piece (5).

La jugulaire (6) est constituée de façon connue en soit par un ensemble de sangles, fixé à la coque (2).Of course, the protective helmet (1) comprises holding and positioning means intended to allow its adjustment and its fixation on the user's head, said means including in particular a chinstrap (6) and a headband (7). The chinstrap (6) is constituted in a manner known in itself by a set of straps attached to the shell (2).

According to the invention, the headband (7) is fixed to the support part (5). The latter is constituted by a deformable strip made for example of plastic to form, once attached to the inside of the shell a retaining bracket for the headband (7), and advantageously also for the cap (4). ).

The headband band (7) is for example constituted by a deformable headband band (8) made of deformable plastic material, so as to take a circular shape, and to which is attached at least internal side, by for example by sewing a comfort element (9) intended to be in contact with the periphery of the head of the user.

It will be noted that the headband (7) is attached to the support piece (5) by hooking means cooperating with complementary fastening means integral with the support piece (5).

Thus, and for example, the headband (7) is fixed to the support piece (5) at, for example, six attachment points (10), namely two front points (10a, 10b) and two lateral points (10c). , 10d) and two rear points (10e, 10f).

The attachment means before the two front points (10a, 10b) of the headband (7) are constituted by two lateral projections (11a, 11b) comprising a hooking disc (110) intended to be engaged in a slideway corresponding (12a, 12b) constituting the complementary hooking means of the support piece (5).

The lateral hooking means of the lateral points (10c, 10d) of the headband (7) are constituted by two lateral projections (13a, 13b) comprising a hook bar (130) extending vertically, intended to be engaged in a corresponding light (14a, 14b) constituting the additional attachment means of the support part (5).
