Abstract

Procédé et dispositif permettant d'améliorer la résolution, au lieu de diminuer la résolution d'une image originale, et d'augmenter le taux de compression, au lieu de comprimer directement un image originale sur la base d'une information de l'image originale. Le procédé comprend les étapes suivantes: soustraire une valeur de pixel d'une image de référence depuis une valeur de pixel d'une image à coder afin de créer un signal résiduel, abaisser la résolution par sous-échantillonnage du signal résiduel, et codage du signal résiduel sous-échantillonné.
