Description

The invention relates to a method according to the preamble of claim 1.

It is known to use different types of fabrics in multi-ply paper or board products. In doing so, one can specifically influence the paper or board quality produced later on the paper machine, both by whale raw materials and in suitable processing steps of stock preparation. In this way - as is known - the wishes of the properties of the paper or cardboard product controlled. In particular, the present invention is directed to the production of multi-ply packaging paper or paperboard, including e.g. Paper or board machines with Mehrlagenstoffauflauf or more headboxes are used. In this case, the position of the cover fabric with fibers of greater length (long pulp) and the layers of the back and / or middle layer with fibers of short length (short fiber) is formed.

In choosing the raw materials to be used, not only quality but also their costs play a significant role. The endeavor to use raw materials which are as inexpensive as possible, as well as waste management considerations, mean that in many cases mixed raw materials, e.g. Waste papers with a broad fiber length spectrum are to be used in production.

It is an object of the invention to provide a method with which it is possible to improve the quality of the paper or cardboard in a particularly simple and economical way and / or to reduce costs.

This object is solved by the features of claim 1.

A packaging paper produced by means of the method or a correspondingly produced cardboard has a cover layer whose composition of matter has the advantage of good optical quality. Since the short fiber fraction formed has an increased number of fibers and a reduced average fiber length in comparison to the starting material, it particularly fulfills the requirements for a blanket layer. Opacity, printability and surface appearance are particularly important for this layer.

The invention will be explained with reference to drawings. Showing:
Fig. 1
a schematic representation of the essential process steps;
Fig. 2
Piece of a two-ply packaging paper produced according to the invention.

That in one Fig. 1 The method shown process represents the essential process steps of the invention with reference to an example. First, the pulp solution 1, in which the waste paper M is treated together with water W so that an aqueous pulp suspension S forms. Mostly then a more or less complex cleaning 2 of the pulp suspension S is necessary. What effort is required to produce a clean pulp is known per se. In cases where a clean from the outset raw material (eg paper machine committee) is used, the cleaning can be omitted. In the subsequent fractionation 3 two fiber fractions are formed, of which the short fiber fraction F1 is enriched with short fibers and the long fiber fraction F2 with long fibers.

The fractions F1 and F2 thus formed may possibly be further processed in the subsequent part of the stock preparation 4 and then arrive in the two machine huts 5 and 6, respectively. The paper machine 9 generates therefrom the cardboard or the packaging paper. For this purpose, it has here a two-layer casserole 10, the horizontally separated chambers are supplied via a fuel pump 7 with the short fiber fraction F1 from the machine chest 5 or via a fuel pump 8 with the long fiber fraction F2 from the machine chest 6. At the exit from the intermediate layer head box 10, an upper material jet 11 containing the short fiber fraction F1 is formed and a lower substance jet 12 containing the long-fiber fraction F2. From the upper substance jet 11, the ceiling layer 13 (FIG. Fig. 2 ) and from the lower fabric jet 12, the backsheet 14th

The mentioned division into the short fiber fraction and the long fiber fraction is carried out with at least one fractionating machine. For example, a Siebfraktionator with a rotor according to the German patent application is particularly suitable DE 199 51 711.8 ,

A particularly suitable fractionator for this purpose is a pressure sorter for wet sifting of the sort of a pressure sorter. This is the DE 199 13 515 A1 a specially designed slotted screen for such a fractionator removed. But even with highly efficient hydrocyclones, so-called cleaners, it is possible to carry out a fractionation according to fiber flexibility.

Fig. 2 shows a two-ply packaging paper with a cover layer 13 and a rear side layer 14. The cover layer 13 is provided in many cases with an imprint 16. By the method according to the invention, the upper side 15 of the cover layer 13 has a good printable surface due to the high short fiber content. Another advantage is the high opacity, which means that any existing impurities of the underlying layer or layers little disturb.
