Procédé de distribution et de consultation sous forme électronique d'articles de courrier (10) comportant les étapes suivantes :
. numérisation de chacun des articles de courrier et transmission des images des articles de courrier ainsi numérisés à un premier serveur (16) sur lequel ces images sont stockées,
. affichage sur un premier écran de visualisation (18A) associé à ce premier serveur des images ainsi stockées et affectation de chacune de ces images à son destinataire en « déposant » l'image dans un des casiers d'un meuble virtuel de rangement associé à ce destinataire et affiché sur le premier écran de visualisation ou sur un second écran de visualisation (18B) également associé à ce premier serveur, et
. affichage sur au moins un écran de consultation (22, 24, 32) d'un destinataire final d'une boite de dialogue dynamique comportant au moins un compteur dont la valeur dépend du nombre d'images affectées au casier de ce destinataire final et accessibles sur le premier serveur depuis l'écran de consultation via un réseau local reliant cet écran de consultation au premier serveur.
