Definitions
- the present invention relates to a closestool for an infant child, more particularly one, whose configuration can be adapted to be suitable for use by infant children at different ages.
- a common child closestool includes a single-part body, which has a seating portion on the top, and a hollow receiving portion under the seating portion.
- the body of the closestool has single part, and can't be separated into different parts or placed in/ on an ordinary toilet for use. Therefore, the closestool is only suitable for use by infant children between the ages of twelve and eighteen months. In other words, the closestool can't be used after the kids are over eighteen months. Therefore, the parents have to discard the closestool, and buy a seat for their kids, which can be placed on the seat of a toilet for the kids to sit on. In addition they have to prepare a short stool next to the toilet to help the kids mount the toilet. Furthermore, it will be a waste of resources and make an impact on the environement to discard the closestool.
- a closestool includes a base, a receptacle, and a seat, which are separable.
- the base has a hollow holding portion in the middle.
- the receptacle has a containing portion, and it is held in the hollow holding portion, with a periphery section resting on an inner loop-shaped protrusion of the base.
- the base further has slip-prevention pads on upper and lower sides.
- the seat has a middle hollowness, and it is positioned on the top of the base.
- the closestool further has an ornamental part joined to a front end of the seat, and a covering part to cover the middle hollowness of the seat.
- the ornamental part can be separated from the seat, and has a handle portion for an infant child to hold.
- the closestool can be adapted to a proper configuration according to the age of the infant child.
- a preferred embodiment of a closestool of the present invention includes a base 1, a receptacle 2, a seat 3, a covering part 4, and an ornamental part 5.
- the base 1 includes an upper shell part 11, and a lower shell part 12, which are secured together.
- the upper shell part 11 has a hollow holding portion 111 therein, which has an opening on an upper end.
- the upper shell part 11 has a loop-shaped protrusion 112 sticking from an inner side of the hollow holding portion 111.
- the upper shell part 11 further has several locating holes 113 on an upper side of a periphery thereof, and slip-prevention pads 114 are inserted in the locating holes 113.
- the lower shell part 12 has a plane bottom side, and several locating holes 121 on the plane bottom side, and slip-prevention pads 121 are inserted in the locating holes 121 respectively ( Fig. 3 ).
- the receptacle 2 is substantially in the shape of a basin, and has a containing portion 21, and several propped sections 22 sticking outwards from an upper end thereof, which will be propped on the loop-shaped protrusion 112 when the receptacle 2 is held in the hollow holding portion 111 of the upper shell part 11 of the base 1.
- the receptacle 2 further has a handle portion 23 sticking upwards in a sloping manner from a rear end thereof; thus, a person is allowed to take the receptacle 2 out of the base 1 easily.
- the seat 3 is formed with a loop shape, having a hollowness 31 on a middle thereof.
- the seat 3 further has connecting holes 32 on a front portion thereof, apertures 33 next to the connecting holes 32, and a back 34 protruding upwards on a rear end thereof.
- the covering part 4 has a recess portion 41 on a top thereof, and a handle 42 crossing the recess portion 41 on the top, which allows a person to take the covering part 4 easily.
- the covering part 4 further has a protruding portion 43 sticking outwards/ sideways from a periphery thereof; thus, the covering part 4 can be propped on the seat 3 to cover the hollowness 31.
- the ornamental part 5 includes a body 51, and a handle portion 52 joined to an upper section of the body 51 for an infant child to hold.
- the ornamental part 5 further has connecting post-shaped portions 53 sticking from a bottom of the body 51, and hooked portions 54 next to the connecting post-shaped portions 53; the ornamental part 5 can be joined to the seat 3 by means of passing the connecting post-shaped portions 53 into the connecting holes 32 as well as passing the hooked portions 54 through the apertures 33 so as to hook the hooked portions 54 over a bottom of the seat 3.
- the receptacle 2 is held in the hollow holding portion 111 of the base 1 with the propped sections 22 resting on the loop-shaped protrusion 112 of the base 1.
- the seat 3 is supported on the top of the base 1, contacting the slip-prevention pads 114 at a bottom so as not to slip off the proper position.
- the covering part 4 is positioned over the middle hollowness 31 of the seat 3 with the protruding portion 43 contacting the periphery of the seat 3.
- the ornamental part 5 is joined to the seat 3 with the connecting post-shaped portions 53 being received in the connecting holes 32, and with the hooked portions 54 being passed through the apertures 33 of the base 3.
- Shown in Fig. 4 is the present invention adapted to a first configuration to be suitable for use by and training an infant child over twelve months of age, wherein the covering part 4 is removed, and the seat 3 is placed such that the front portion of the seat 3 and the ornamental part 5 face in the same direction as the front end of the base 1.
- Shown in Fig. 5 is the present invention adapted to a second configuration to be suitable for use by training an infant child over twelve months of age, wherein the covering part 4 is removed, and the seat 3 is placed such that the front portion of the seat 3 and the ornamental part 5 are adjacent to the rear end of the base 1.
- Figs. 6 and 7 Shown in Figs. 6 and 7 are the present invention adapted to a third and a fourth configurations respectively to be suitable for use by an infant child over eighteen months of age, wherein the seat 3 is separated from the base 1, and positioned in and supported by a toilet 6, and the base 1 is positioned upside down next to the toilet 6 to help an infant child to mount the seat 3; in the third configuration ( Fig. 6 ), the seat 3 is placed such that the front portion of the seat 3 and the ornamental part 5 are adjacent to the front end of the toilet 6; in the fourth configuration ( Fig. 7 ), the seat 3 is placed such that the front portion of the seat 3 and the ornamental part 5 are adjacent to the rear end of the toilet 6.
- Figs. 8 and 9 Shown in Figs. 8 and 9 are the present inventions adapted to a fifth and a sixth configurations respectively to be suitable for use by an infant child over twenty four months of age, wherein the ornamental part 5 is removed from the seat 3, and the seat 3 is separated from the base 1, and positioned in and supported by a toilet 6.
- the closestool of the present invention has an advantage: the closestool can be easily adapted to a suitable configuration for use by training an infant child according to the age of the infant child therefore it is very practical and convenient to use.
