Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a weapon system for a ship with a rocket launcher pivotally mounted on the ship's deck in azimuth and elevation and an ammunition space for storing rocket containers configured to receive at least one rocket, the ammunition space being located within a hangar immediately adjacent to the rocket launcher is arranged.
It is known that in conventional warships sensitive components are usually stored above the main deck to take them out of the impact area of the waves. An object of the invention was to arrange a rocket launcher directly on the main deck of a ship, that is, at a location which is strongly exposed to the sea state and the waves breaking over the deck. While the placement of a rocket launcher on a land vehicle always involves well-defined and predictable stresses that are often time-limited, the sea state itself is unpredictable or predictable and very high stresses may occur over extended periods of time.
It follows that the object underlying the invention that the weapon system must be designed on a ship so that even with prolonged high stress no damage to the missile launcher itself and the ammunition space can occur with the rocket containers stored therein.
The solution of this object is achieved according to the invention with the features of the characterizing part of
A basic idea of the invention is, according to the combination of features a), to design the rocket launcher itself in a particularly stable manner and to anchor it on the ship deck. When arranged on land vehicles rocket launcher has this, as in
Such a construction is generally very sensitive to the stresses occurring at sea. For this reason, the rocket launcher according to the invention has a fundamentally known in guns rigid bending cradle, which is mounted on a trunnion bearing in elevation pivotally mounted in a weighing receptacle. This cradle mount is then pivotally mounted on azimuth via a pivot bearing on a pedestal fixedly connected to the ship's deck. As a result, a good stability in the training and storage of the rocket launcher is achieved.
According to feature b), unlike rocket launchers mounted on land vehicles, the rocket container conveyor is not located on the rocket launcher itself, but below the ceiling of the hangar, which has an opening in the sidewall on its rocket launcher side through which the rocket containers extend the hangar out the rocket launcher are supplied.
By this arrangement it is achieved that on the one hand the sensitive parts of the conveyor system are arranged protected against the effects of the sea state and on the other hand, the loading of the rocket launcher can be performed quickly and safely with the rocket containers.
In a particularly advantageous embodiment of the weapon system, the rocket launcher has two side cheeks receiving the trunnion bearing, between which at least one guide plate for the exhaust jet the missile is arranged, which is concave curved seen at least in some areas from above and in the firing direction, so that the exhaust gas jet is diverted substantially in a direction parallel to the ship's deck.
In the following an embodiment of a weapon system according to the invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
