Abstract

Zylinderkopf für eine flüssigkeitsgekühlte Brennkraftmaschine, mit zwei in einer Auslassseite (1) des Zylinderkopfes angeordneten Gaswechselauslasskanälen (2, 2') und zumindest einem in einer Einlassseite (3) des Zylinderkopfes angeordneten Gaswechseleinlasskanal (4, 4'), die jeweils längs einer Zylinderkopflängsachse (LA) angeordnet sind und einer zwischen den Gaswechselkanälen (2, 2', 4, 4') anordenbaren Zünd- und/oder Brennstoffeinspritzvorrichtung, wobei ein Kühlmittelkanal (5) im Zylinderkopf zwei auslassseitige, zu einem geodätisch unter dem Zylinderkopf angeordneten Kurbelgehäuse hin offene Kühlmittel-Einströmöffnungen (6, 6') aufweist, die jeweils weitgehend geodätisch unter einem Gaswechselauslasskanal (2, 2') angeordnet sind, wobei sich der Kühlmittelkanal (5) zwischen den Gaswechselauslasskanälen (2, 2') in Richtung der Zünd- und/oder Brennstoffeinspritzvorrichtung und geodätisch nach oben und anschließend in Richtung der Einlassseite (3) erstreckt, wobei sich der Kühlmittelkanal (5) ausgehend von den Einströmöffnungen (6, 6') beidseitig bis zu einer Kanalhöhe und anschließend bogenförmig (M-förmig), zuerst von der Einlassseite (3) weg und anschlie-ßend zur Einlassseite (3) hin und anschließend in den Kühfmittelkanal (5) zwischen den Gaswechselauslasskanälen (2, 2') hinein erstreckt.
Durch die erfindungsgemäße Ausgestaltung wird die Kühlung der Auslassseite und der Zylindermitte eines gattungsgemäßen Zylinderkopfes wesentlich verbessert.
