Vorteilhaft ist das Anlageelement integraler Bestandteil des Geschirrkorbs, am Geschirrkorb mit veränderbarer Position gelagert, z. B. aus einer Nichtgebrauchslage in eine Gebrauchslage verschwenkbar ist, oder wiederlösbar am Geschirrkorb befestigt, so dass es bei Bedarf ein- oder ausgebaut wird. Die Anlagefläche des U-förmigen Abschnitts ermöglicht eine Stützung des eingestellten Spülguts in drei Richtungen, so dass beim Ein- oder Ausfahren des Geschirrkorbs oder sonstigen Erschütterungen ein Kippen des Spülguts weitgehend vermieden wird. Zusätzlich bewirkt der U-förmige Abschnitt eine Trennung des Spülguts untereinander, so dass dieses nicht unmittelbar aneinander anliegt. Dadurch wird ein Klappern des Spülguts während der Bewegungen des Geschirrkorbs vermieden und eine Beschädigung von aneinander stoßendem Spülgut. Es ist dabei nicht notwendig; dass die seitlichen Schenkel des U-förmigen Abschnitts so lang sind, dass sie über die Mitte der Grundfläche des eingestellten Spülguts hinausgehen. Zur seitlichen Stützung gegen ein Umkippen genügt dabei bereits eine geringe seitliche Kraftkomponente bei schräger, seitlicher Anlage am U-förmigen Abschnitt.According to

Das Rastelement kann an einem Ende des U-förmigen Abschnitts oder mehrerer U-förmiger Abschnitte angeordnet sein, so dass das Anlageelement an einer Seitenwand des Geschirrkorbs befestigbar ist. Oder das Rastelement ist über einen Abstandhalter mit dem Anlageelement verbunden, so dass es am Boden des Geschirrkorbs befestigbar ist.
