Description

The invention relates to a device for cleaning smooth surfaces according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

STAND DER TECHNIKSTATE OF THE ART

The cleaning of smooth surfaces such as windows and walls in the interior with a working height above about 2 meters is nowadays usually done by a person on a ladder, a scaffold or a lift with a bucket of water, a sponge and a wiper. It was already in DE-U-80 19 169 proposed to attach a holder with a sponge and a rubber strip at the entrance of a known suction nozzle of a spray extraction device, so that the spray extraction device can also be used for cleaning window panes. Even if a telescopic tube can be used for the known suction nozzle, in the given arrangement of the known spray extraction device for carpets, a cleaning of windows in high altitude is not possible. In addition, windows can hardly be cleaned streak-free with the known suction nozzle and attachment. The holder off DE-U-80 19 169 is not available on the market.

In US-A-2004/0221420 a device for the cleaning of soiled surfaces of an aircraft is known, which has at the end of a suction pipe a scrubber and an aspirator. The aspirator consists of a first serrated scraper, a suction port and a second scraper and is diametrically opposed to the scrubber. In the introduction of this document, it is emphasized that the conventional cleaning devices for windows or floors are not suitable for cleaning the uneven surfaces of aircraft due to screwing and riveting. Consequently, this device is not intended for the cleaning of smooth surfaces such as windows or walls and also not suitable.

AUFGABE DER ERFINDUNGOBJECT OF THE INVENTION

The present invention is an object of the invention to provide a device for cleaning smooth surfaces, especially for windows, which is easy to handle and allows the cleaning of smooth surfaces at high altitude without further aids.

GEGENSTAND DER ERFINDUNGSCOPE OF THE INVENTION

This object is achieved by a cleaning device having the features of patent claim 1.

The inventive cleaning device has the great advantage that the wetting and drying of the windows can be made in two successive operations, so that a perfect and streak-free cleaning is achieved.

BESCHREIBUNG EINES AUSFÜHRUNGSBEISPIELES DER ERFINDUNGDESCRIPTION OF AN EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

Fig. 1
eine Reinigungsvorrichtung in Seitenansicht,
Fig. 2
Fig. 3
die Reinigungsvorrichtung der Figur 2 in grösserer Darstellung.
Further advantages of the invention will become apparent from the dependent claims and from the following description in which the invention with reference to an exemplary embodiment illustrated in the schematic drawings is explained in more detail. It shows:
Fig. 1
a cleaning device in side view,
Fig. 2
a perspective view of the cleaning device in use, and
Fig. 3
the cleaning device of FIG. 2 in a larger view.

In FIG. 1 a cleaning device 1 is shown, which has a head part 2 with a suction part 3 and a cleaning part 4. The suction part 3 consists of an angled pipe section 5 and a flat suction head 6, which recesses or suction openings 7 and designed as a rubber lip scraper 8 has. The cleaning part 4 consists of a spray nozzle 10 with a pressure regulator 11 and attached to a rod 12 washing head 13, which has an elongated sponge 14. The rod 12 is provided with a fastening part 15, which is fastened by means of a screw 16 to a boom 17 of the head part 2. Further, the spray nozzle 10 is attached to the attachment part 15 with a connecting rod 18. Thus, the angle α between the suction part 3 and the cleaning part 4 can be adjusted, which is usually about 90 °. At the head part 2, a tube 20 is connected, which at the lower end via a suction hose 21 with a water suction device 22 (see FIG. 2 ) connected is. Further, a water supply line 25 is connected to the spray nozzle 10, which is connected to a commercial pressure vessel 27 or with a hose reel to a faucet in the house. The water supply in the water supply line 25 is controlled by a rotatable valve 26, that is, it can be opened or closed. The suction tube 20 is made of a suitable plastic such as a fiber-plastic composite material, in particular a carbon fiber reinforced composite (CFRP), or of a metal matrix composite material (MMC) with aluminum, magnesium, copper or the like. The suction tube 20 may be formed as a telescopic tube or consist of several mated tubes to adjust the cleaning device 1 to the correct height. The suction tube 20 has an inner diameter of 38 mm and a wall thickness of 2 mm. Due to the lightweight construction, the tube 20 has the necessary mechanical stability and can still be handled by an operator with a far distance to a cleaning surface such as a window with the necessary pressure.

Cleaning the smooth surface is now done in two steps:
  1. 1. The surface to be cleaned is slightly wetted with the spray nozzle 10 by the water valve 26 is opened and a fine spray is distributed to the surface. By an up and down movement of the washing head 13, the dirt is dissolved on the surface.
  2. 2. Then the water valve 26 is closed and the tube 20 is rotated by 180 ° about the longitudinal direction, so that the suction head 6 on the surface to be cleaned is applied. With this suction head 6, the dirty water film is now sucked off in a continuous downward movement and at the same time completely removed or dried off by the scraper 8. The dirty water from the scraper 8 is simultaneously sucked through the suction head 6, so that no residual water remains on the window frame.

With the cleaning device 1 you can now clean at high altitudes with very little water a large smooth surface. Only fine droplets from the spray can reach the floor, but they can be picked up with a cloth. The lightweight design of the cleaning device 1 with the suction tube 20 allows working up high, so that windows can be cleaned easily from large halls.
