Abstract

The house-hold device (1) has a door (3) with a front plate (32), and a support part (1a) at which the door is movably arranged. The axis of rotation (A) of the door extends in a spatial zone beneath the front plate. The zone is limited in a direction in space by the thickness of the front plate.

Description

The invention relates to a domestic appliance with a door and a support part, on which the door is movably arranged.

Domestic appliances, in which loading openings are closed with doors, are known. Thus, it is provided for example in ovens, that a front-side feed opening can be closed with a door which can be opened and closed on a horizontal axis. For this purpose, usually two hinges are provided, which are fastened to a support part on the one hand and the door on the other. In addition, home appliances, such as Dampfgargeräte, are known in which a door for opening and closing a feed opening can be pivoted about a vertical axis. Again, these devices usually include door hinges.

In the known household appliances, a problem is that the hinges and their arrangement are formed so that a considerable distance is required between a door edge in the region of the hinges and a spaced therefrom arranged footprint on which the domestic appliance is placed. This is due to the fact that due to their design and arrangement of the hinges, a relatively large pivoting range of the door is required. A corresponding problem arises with doors, which can be pivoted about a vertical axis and in this case a considerable distance must be taken into account between the door edge and an adjacent and spaced therefrom arranged surface of other devices or fitted wardrobes.

From the DE 103 60 384 A1 a door hinge for a domestic appliance is known, which has two separate hinge parts, which are connected to each other via a pivot pin. The pivot pin is arranged in each case at outer end regions of the two hinge parts. A first hinge part comprises at the rear to the opening region or pivot region of the two hinge parts to each other a material bulge, in which the pivot pin is arranged in regions. A hinge part is arranged on a rear side of an outer pane of the door.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a domestic appliance, in which the pivoting of the door is possible even with a reduced gap between a door edge and a neighboring and spaced therefrom arranged boundary.

This object is achieved by a domestic appliance having the features of claim 1.

A domestic appliance according to the invention comprises a door with a front plate and a carrier part on which the door is movably arranged. An axis of rotation of the door extends in a spatial zone below the front panel, the zone in a spatial direction being limited by the dimensions of the thickness of the front panel. The installation of the axis of rotation in the door or in a plate-like front part of the door, comprising the front panel, allows a reduced pivoting range of the door. The laying of the axis of rotation so that it extends into this formed in the plate-like front part of the free space, allows the pivotal movement of the door to perform so that a much reduced space is required. Between a door edge and a space spaced therefrom or the like can thus be formed in this regard a smaller gap between these components. This sunken training of the axis of rotation allows not only the technical improvement but also to convey a higher-quality appearance.

The axis of rotation of the door preferably extends horizontally. In particular, in domestic appliances, in which the pivoting movement of the door takes place about such a horizontal axis of rotation, thereby a significant reduction of the gap size can be ensured. When setting up such home appliances undisturbed opening and closing of the door can be made even with significantly reduced gap between a lower door edge and a footprint, such as a floor.

However, it can also be provided that the axis of rotation of the door extends vertically.

The zone is limited in the circumferential direction in a preferred manner by an edge of the front panel and by a web of a front panel. The edge of the front panel delimiting the zone is preferably formed by a recess, in particular an arcuate recess, on one side of the front panel. The zone can thereby be made relatively small. A substantial reduction in the size of the front panel is not required.

The front panel is preferably formed at least partially transparent. In particular, the front panel may be formed entirely of glass and be transparent.

The front panel is preferably placed on a front side of the front panel and surrounds the front panel preferably at least partially frame-like. Preferably, the front panel extends further down than the front panel.

Preferably, the zone is designed as a free space or airspace. In this area, the front panel and the front panel are then spaced from each other.

The door is preferably fixed by at least one hinge to the support member and the axis of rotation of the door corresponds to the axis of rotation of the hinge. Hinge parts of the hinge are preferably movable relative to each other and connected to each other. Preferably, the axis of rotation of the hinge and thus also the common axis of rotation of the two hinge parts is the axis of rotation of the door of the domestic appliance. Then fall the axis of rotation of the door and the axis of rotation of the hinge together. As a result of this refinement, a gap dimension reduction can be achieved in a particularly effective manner, since the pivoting movement of the door corresponds to the pivoting movement of the hinge and a minimum pivoting range for the door is required.

The hinge is preferably spaced apart in the zone from the edge forming the thickness of the faceplate. Preferably, the hinge comprises a first and a second hinge part. The hinge, in particular the first hinge part, is preferably arranged on the inside of a web of the front panel facing the zone. It can also be provided that the front panel over its entire width has a lower height than the front panel and by this difference in size in the lower or lateral region of the door, the zone is formed, which is limited by the web and the thickness of the front panel. The hinge parts are preferably movably connected to one another at end regions, which end regions extend into the zone, so that the axis of rotation of the hinge extends into the zone.

The first hinge part preferably has at least two legs, which are arranged at an angle to one another and at least one leg extends at least regionally into the zone. The first hinge part is preferably formed in one piece and the two legs are arranged in their angled arrangement position stable to each other.

Preferably, the first hinge part is L-shaped and extends with its short leg into the zone. With its long leg, the first hinge part is preferably arranged on a rear side of the at least partially transparent front panel. The first hinge part is preferably arranged so that the leg projecting into the zone is oriented away from an opening region of the hinge. An opening region of the hinge is understood to be the angular segment in which the two hinge parts move relative to one another, toward and away from each other. Also in other household appliances, such as a dishwasher, a refrigerator, a freezer, a tumble dryer or the like, an inventive arrangement of the door can be provided. In principle, the invention or an advantageous embodiment thereof can be used in all devices which have a pivotable door which is fastened by means of a hinge to a carrier part.

Compared with conventional door hinges and door fastenings to a support member, the invention can achieve a fulcrum displacement resulting in smaller gaps between a door edge and an adjacent surface, such as a floor or wall of a built-in cabinet or the like.

Fig. 1 shows a front view of a trained as a baking oven 1 home appliance. The household appliance 1 comprises an interior space 2, in which food can be prepared. The short leg 512 of the first hinge part 51 extends into the zone 4. With a second end region 522, this second hinge part 52 also extends into the zone 4. The two hinge parts 51 and 52 are movably connected to one another at the components extending into the zone 4. For this purpose, a pivot pin connection is provided in the exemplary embodiment, so that the two hinge parts 51 and 52 can be moved relative to one another via this pivot pin. The axis of rotation of this hinge 5 coincides in the embodiment with the axis of rotation A of the door 3.

In Fig. 6 It can be seen that the short leg 512 of the first hinge part 51 and the second end portion 522 of the second hinge part 52 spaced from the edge 321 of the front panel 32 are arranged. As further from the representation in Fig. 6 can be seen, this short leg 512 of the first hinge part 51 and the second end portion 522 of the second hinge part 52 has a length such that the axis of rotation A, which also represents the axis of rotation of the hinge 5, and the entire pivot pin in the yz plane extends only in the dimensions of these legs or end portions. The pivot pin is thus formed at the outer end points of these two hinge parts 51 and 52. By the invention can be achieved that the pivot point of the door 3 and in the embodiment, the pivot point of the hinge 5 in comparison to the prior art can be moved to the front wall 311 and also down in the direction of the footprint 6 out.
