Die zur Kontaktierung durch die Kontaktbrücken 8a, 9a , 10a vorgesehenen Festkontaktpaare sind dabei als Kontaktflächen auf einer auch als unteres Gleitlager für das Kontaktträgerelement 3a dienenden Leiterplatte 7 ausgeführt. In der der dargestellten linken Ruheposition gegenüberliegenden rechten Ruheposition des Kontaktträgerelements 3a werden durch die drei Kontaktbrücken 8a, 9a ,10a jeweils drei weitere Festkontaktpaare überbrückt, welche von den drei ersten Festkontaktpaaren elektrisch isoliert sind. Damit ist durch die Verlagerung des Kontaktträgerelements 3a zwischen seinen beiden Ruhepositionen ein gleichzeitiges Umschalten dreier separater elektrischer Potentiale möglich.
Ein Zug an dem in der Fig. 2 linken Teil der Betätigungshandhabe 1 bewirkt eine Schwenkbewegung derselben um ihre Drehachse. Diese Drehachse ist durch die Lagerung der in Fig. 1 erkennbaren Achsstummel 1' in entsprechenden Öffnungen eines Gehäuseoberteils 11 eines die Komponenten der Schalteinrichtung aufnehmenden und an seiner Unterseite von einem Gehäuseunterteil 12 verschlossenen Gehäuses gebildet. Durch die Schwenkbewegung der Betätigungshandhabe 1 wird der Stößel 2a gegen die auf ihn einwirkende Federkraft nach unten bewegt. Dabei gleitet die an der Längsseite dieses Stößels 2a vorhandene Rastkontur 2a' an einem federbelasteten Rastbolzen 6a entlang, der in einer Hülse einer Schaltschwinge 5a aufgenommen ist. Diese Schaltschwinge 5a ist um eine parallel zur Drehachse der Betätigungshandhabe 1 ausgerichtete Schwenkachse drehbar in dem Gehäuseoberteil 11 der Schalteinrichtung gelagert und steht mit ihrem unteren, achsfernen Ende mit dem Kontaktträgerelement 3a in Eingriff. Sobald im Verlauf der Abwärtsbewegung des Stößels 2a die an diesem vorhandene Rastkontur 2a' mit ihrem Scheitelpunkt die Spitze des Rastbolzens 6a überschritten hat, führt die Schaltschwinge 5a unter Entspannung der Feder des Rastbolzens 6a eine schlagartige Schwenkbewegung aus. Das mit dem achsfernen Ende der Schaltschwinge 5a in Eingriff stehende Kontaktträgerelement 3a wird dabei ebenso schlagartig in seine der bis dahin eingenommenen linken Ruhestellung gegenüberliegende rechte Ruhestellung überführt. In dieser Ruhestellung verbleibt das Kontaktträgerelement 3a so lange, wie die Betätigungshandhabe 1 in der Zugstellung festgehalten wird.
