- A support housing (27), comprising a housing part (27a, 27b) for an active component (35, 36) of a door stay, the housing part (27a, 27b) having a receptacle (48), which is open at a first end (24), for the active component (35, 36),

- The support housing as claimed in claim 1 or 2, characterized in that an external profile (3) is arranged on the housing part (27a, 27b).
- The support housing as claimed in claim 3, characterized in that the external profile (3) comprises a first profile section (5) for a first fastening means.
- The support housing as claimed in claim 4, characterized in that the first fastening means is a screw (28) with an essentially T-shaped screw head (28a), that the first profile section (5) has a first undercut (13a) and a second undercut (13b), and that the first undercut (13a) and the second undercut (13b) receive the screw head (28a) of the screw (28).
- The support housing as claimed in one of claims 3 to 5, characterized in that the external profile (3) comprises a second profile section (14) for a second fastening means.
- The support housing as claimed in claim 6, characterized in that the second fastening means is designed as a rivet (29a, 29b) with a stem (30, 31), and that the second profile section (14) encloses the stem (30, 31) of the rivet (29a, 29b) in some sections.
- The support housing as claimed in one of claims 3 to 7, characterized in that the external profile (3) comprises a third profile section (18).
- The support housing as claimed in claim 8, characterized in that an end stop part is accommodated in the third profile section (18).
- The support housing as claimed in claim 9, characterized in that the end stop part comprises a piece of material (33a, 33b) made of a soft plastic, which is fixed in the third profile section (18).
- The support housing as claimed in claim 10, characterized in that the third profile section (18) comprises a first limb section (22a) and a second limb section (22b), wherein the piece of material (33a, 33b) is accommodated between the first limb section (22a) and the second limb section (22b), and that the piece of material (33a, 33b) is fixed on the housing part (27a, 27b) by a first embossment of the first limb section (22a) and by a second embossment of the second limb section (22b).
- The support housing as claimed in one of claims 1 to 11, characterized in that the receptacle (48) has a second, open end (25).
- The support housing as claimed in claim 12, characterized in that a closure piece (43a, 43b) is fastened to the second end (25), and that the closure piece (43a, 43b) closes the second end (25).
- The support housing as claimed in claim 13, characterized in that a fixing embossment is provided at the second end (25), and that the fixing embossment fixes the closure piece (43a, 43b) on the housing part (27a, 27b).
- The support housing as claimed in one of claims 1 to 14, characterized in that the housing part (27a, 27b) is produced from aluminum or an aluminum alloy.
- The support housing as claimed in one of claims 1 to 15, comprising a first housing part (27a) and a second housing part (27b), the first housing part (27a) and the second housing part (27b) each comprising an extruded profile (1) which is cut to size.
- The support housing as claimed in claim 16, characterized in that the first housing part (27a) and the second housing part (27b) are arranged mirror-symmetrically with respect to each other.
- A door stay, comprising
a door retaining bar (26) having a first side (34),
a first active component (35) which interacts with the first side (34) of the door retaining bar (26), and
a support housing (27) having a first housing part (27a) being open at a first end (24), and a receptacle (48) for the first active component (35),
characterized in
that the first housing part (27a) comprises an extruded profile (1) which is cut to size. - The door stay as claimed in claim 18, further comprising
a second active component (36) which interacts with the door retaining bar (26), and
a second housing part (27b) having a first, open end (24) and a receptacle (48) for the second active component (36). - The door stay as claimed in claim 19, characterized in that the second housing part (27b) comprises an extruded profile part (1) which is cut to size.
- The door stay as claimed in claim 19 or 20, characterized in that the first housing part (27a) is assigned to the first side (34) of the door retaining bar (26) and the second housing part (27b) is assigned to a second side of the door retaining bar (26), which second side faces away from the first side (34) of the door retaining bar (26).
- The door stay as claimed in claim 21, characterized in that the first housing part (27a) and the second housing part (27b) are fixed on each other by means of a common fastening means.
- The door stay as claimed in claim 22, characterized in that the common fastening means is a rivet (29a, 29b), a first rivet stem (30) thereof being fixed on the first housing part (27a) and a second rivet stem (31) thereof being fixed on the second housing part (27b).
- The door stay as claimed in claim 23, characterized in that the rivet (29a, 29b) comprises a third rivet stem (32) which is arranged between the first rivet stem (30) and the second rivet stem (31), and that the third rivet stem (32) keeps the first housing part (27a) and the second housing part (27b) at a distance from each other.
- The door stay as claimed in claim 23 or 24, characterized in that the door retaining bar (26) bears laterally against the third rivet stem (32).
