Claims (6)
- A method for erasing a surface of a rewritable printing form within a printing press, wherein upon erasing a form cylinder carrying the printing form is moved in a rotating manner, characterized in that the erasing takes place in two main erasing steps, wherein a first main erasing step is carried out during a running-down of the form cylinder following completion of a print order and wherein following this a second main erasing step is carried out, for which the form cylinder following the running down of the latter, is driven.
- The method according to Claim 1, characterized in that during the first main erasing step a cleaning of the surface of the rewritable printing form is carried out, wherein in the process printing ink and imaging polymer are removed from the surface and the surface is preferentially dried.
