Upon rotation of the upper part 32, the bolt 36 rotates in the insert 37 and rubs against the friction member 38, so that the movement of the upper part 32 relative to the lower part 31 is damped by sliding friction. Preferably, the damping is such that the upper part 32 is fixed against twisting under its own weight in each rotational position, but still can be easily moved. The upper part 32 is thereby secured against uncontrolled rotation. A sufficiently large friction can be achieved by using a material such as polyurethane for the friction element 38. In addition, as in Fig. 5 also shown, the bolt 36 may be provided with circumferential grooves, in which the elastic material of the friction element 38 expands while further increasing the friction.

Claims (10)

  1. Table having three legs (10, 20, 30) and a foldable table top (40), which table stands on the three legs (10, 20, 30) thereof even when the table top (40) is folded up, the legs (10, 20, 30) converging towards the table top (40) in a lower region (I) and obliquely diverging towards the table top (40) in an upper region (II), and two of the three legs (10, 20) being connected to the table top (40) via pivoted joints and the third leg (30) being composed of a lower (31) and an upper (32) part, the upper part (32) comprising the upper region of the third leg (30), being detachably connected to the table top (40) and being rotatable with respect to the lower part (31), characterised in that the upper part (32) of the third leg (30) is rotatable about the longitudinal axis of the lower part (31) with respect to the lower part (31).
  2. Table according to claim 1, characterised in that it is formed as a bar table and in that the three legs (10, 20, 30) are longer than the largest diameter of the table top (40).
  3. Table according to either claim 1 or claim 2, characterised in that the upper part (32) is fixed against rotating under its own weight by sliding friction.
  4. Table according to any of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the legs (10, 20, 30) are screwed together in the lower region (I) thereof via a connection point (50).
  5. Table according to any of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the legs (10, 20, 30) are merely bent in a transition region (III) from the lower (I) to the upper (II) region, but are otherwise straight.
  6. Table according to claim 5, characterised in that the lower part (31) of the third leg (30) is orientated parallel to the folded-up table top (40), which lies thereon.
  7. Table according to any of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the legs (10, 20, 30) are tubular, having a preferably round cross section.
  8. Table according to any of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that a bolt (36) is anchored rotationally engaged in the upper part (32) of the third leg (30) and protrudes downwards into the lower part (31).
  9. Table according to claim 8, characterised in that an insert (37) which receives the bolt (36) is provided in the lower part (31) of the third leg (30), and comprises, in a recess, a friction element (38) which is positioned against the bolt (36) under resilient deformation.
  10. Table according to any of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that the upper part (32) of the third leg (30) is provided at the upper end thereof with a head (33), which head (33) can be pivoted into and resiliently fixed in a recess (43) on the underside of the unfolded table top (40) by rotating the upper part (32) of the third leg (30).
