Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for fastening a heat exchanger according to the preamble of claim 1 and a method for repairing fasteners of a heat exchanger according to the preamble of claim 13.
- Heat exchanger for motor vehicles, z. B. coolant radiator or intercooler relative to the vehicle, ie parts of the body by means of fasteners vibration damping or vibration decoupled supported.
- Coolers usually consist of a metallic heat exchanger block and plastic collection boxes to which the fasteners, z. B. are molded in the form of cones. Similar fixings are also known in intercoolers.
- the cones - such as through the DE 42 44 037 C2 the applicant for a motor vehicle radiator - are plugged into rubber bushings or so-called decoupling elements, which in turn are supported and fixed relative to the body. This results in a vibration-damped mounting of the heat exchanger relative to the vehicle.
- the heat exchangers arranged in the front region of the engine compartment can also be destroyed: in most cases, the fastening pins break off, with the result that the entire radiator or intercooler must be replaced. At least the Collecting boxes with the destroyed bearing journals are exchanged for new ones. This is associated with considerable costs for the parts to be replaced and for the installation and removal. From the EP0870638 is another method for mounting a heat exchanger known.
- the object of the invention is first achieved by the features of claim 1.
- the damaged (dysfunctional) fastener element can be replaced by a retrofittable Histfsab support.
- the advantage here is that not the entire heat exchanger must be replaced, but only the broken or damaged original fastener completely removed and replaced by an adapted auxiliary support. This repair measure can be carried out with simple means and low expenditure of time. The heat exchanger is then fully functional again and continue to use.
- the broken fastener is replaced by a fastening bolt, which advantageously carries a sleeve and with the heat exchanger, preferably the collecting box is screwed.
- a hole is made in the region of the broken fastener, which is designed as a molded-on collection box pin, into which the fastening bolt is inserted and held by a nut.
- the nut is received positively in a receiving opening on the collecting box.
- the fastener or the molded pin is not directly on the wall of the header, but is arranged for example on a mounting paragraph or a mounting base.
- the fastening bolt with sleeve can be mounted easily and in little time, can be produced at low cost and fulfills the function of the original fastener. The entire heat exchanger therefore does not need to be replaced.
- Fig. 1 shows a section of a header 1 of a coolant radiator, not shown, of a motor vehicle.
- the sectional view shows a mounting base 2 with a breaking point 3 of a fastening pin, not shown, for the radiator.
- Collecting box 1 with mounting base 2 and mounting pins are made in one piece as a plastic injection molded part.
- the mounting pin served as a bearing pin for supporting the radiator in the motor vehicle and is broken off in a crash of the motor vehicle.
- Fig. 2 shows the mounting base 2 with a smooth break point 3a, ie the irregular contour 3 of the break has been removed, z. B. by machining with a file, so that a smooth surface 3a results.
- Fig. 3 shows the mounting base 2 with a through hole 4, which was introduced in the region of the break point 3 in the mounting base 2.
- the radiator is now - after the crash - prepared so far that an auxiliary support can be mounted instead of the broken fastening pin.
- Fig. 4 shows a perspective view of a lower section of a coolant radiator 5 with the lower mounting base 2, as shown in Figures 1, 2, 3.
- the mounting base 2, which forms a lower bearing of the radiator 5, is molded onto the header 1 of the radiator 5 and reinforced by lateral ribs 2a, 2b.
- the mounting base 2 has the in Fig. 3 shown hole 4 and is thus prepared for the installation of an auxiliary support, which consists of a fastening bolt 6, a sleeve 7 and a square nut 8.
- Fig. 5 shows the mounted auxiliary support on the mounting base 2 in a sectional view.
- the same reference numbers are used for the same parts.
- the fastening bolt 6 is inserted through the sleeve 7 and through the hole 4 in the mounting base 2 and screwed end into a nut 8, so that the sleeve 7 is clamped against the bottom 3a of the mounting base 2.
- a replacement holder is provided in the form of an auxiliary pin 7 for the broken attachment pin.
- two inner ribs 2 c, 2 d are arranged on the upper side of the mounting base 2, which form a receiving opening for the square nut 8. This can thus be inserted into the receiving opening prior to assembly of the fastening bolt 6 and is prevented when screwing in the fastening bolt 6 from twisting and held in its inserted position.
- the mounting base 2 forms a projecting from the collecting tank 1 platform, which is not part of the wall of the collecting tank.
- the bore 4 see. Fig. 3
- the described repair or assembly of the auxiliary support 6, 7, 8 can be achieved by simple means, for. B. be carried out in a garage.
- Example shown is not an Ausfatunsgsform the invention.
- Fig. 6 shows an upper bearing 9 of a coolant radiator 10 with an intact, ie original mounting pin 11 and an approximately square shaped support surface 12, which are integrally formed with the collecting box 13 of the radiator 10 as a plastic injection molded part.
- the mounting pin 11 serves as a radiator holder and is connected to an elastomeric decoupling element, not shown, which in turn is supported relative to the body of the motor vehicle, not shown.
- the mounting pin 11 has in the region of its transition to the support surface 12 a notch 11 a, which acts as a predetermined breaking point. In a crash of the motor vehicle, the break is thus in the range of this Predetermined breaking point 11a instead.
- a fastening eye 14 At the collecting box 13 in the immediate vicinity of the support surface 12, which forms a fastening profile, a fastening eye 14, a so-called screw dome is arranged and also molded onto the Sammie box 13.
- Fig. 7 shows in an analogue representation like Fig. 6 a lower bearing 15 of the coolant radiator 10, also with an intact, ie original molded mounting pin 16, which also analogous to the mounting pin 11 serves as a radiator holder and can be connected to a decoupling element, not shown.
- the mounting pin stands on an approximately circular support surface 17, which is discontinued as a circular disc relative to the collection loads 13 and forms a fastening profile.
- a predetermined breaking point 16a is also attached in the form of a notch.
- a screw dome 18 is also injection-molded.
- the FIGS. 6 and 7 thus represent the original, ie initial state of the coolant radiator 10 (before the crash) is.
- Fig. 8 shows - according to the illustration according to Fig. 6 -
- the cooler 10 after a crash, ie with broken attachment pin 11 (see. Fig. 6 ), with the break already smoothed.
- the support plate 12 thus has a smooth support surface and side surfaces 12a, 12b.
- an auxiliary support 19 is shown in exploded view, which consists of a mounting plate 19a and an auxiliary pin 19b.
- the mounting plate 19a corresponds in shape to the support surface 12 and therefore has angled edge strips 19b, 19c.
- a fastening tab 19d with a bore 19e is provided on the auxiliary support 19.
- the entire auxiliary support 19 is preferably formed in one piece, for example as a sheet metal part or as a plastic injection molded part.
- a fastening screw 20, preferably with self-tapping, not shown thread, is provided for the connection of the auxiliary support 19 with the screw dome 14.
- Fig. 9 shows the radiator 10 with mounted auxiliary support 19, ie after completion of the repair.
- the auxiliary pin 19b which has the same shape and performs the same function as the original pin.
- the mounting plate 19a rests on the support plate 12 and surrounds this form-fitting manner.
- the fastening screw 20 is screwed into the screw dome 14 and braces the auxiliary support 19 against the collecting box thirteenth
- Fig. 10 shows - analogous to the representation in Fig. 7 -
- An appropriate auxiliary support 21 is shown in exploded view (prior to assembly) above the circular support surface 17.
- the auxiliary support 21 is analogous to the auxiliary support 19 and has a mounting plate 21 a and an auxiliary pin 21 b.
- On the mounting plate 21 a is a partially circumferential angled edge strip 21 c and a fastening tab 21 d provided with mounting hole 21 e for a mounting screw 22.
- Fig. 11 shows the lower bearing 15 after installation of the auxiliary support 21, ie after repair, wherein the fastening screw 22 is screwed into the screw dome 18 and thus causes attachment of the auxiliary support 21 to the collecting box 13.
- the angled edge 21 c surrounds the support plate 17 and thus ensures a positive connection between the auxiliary support 21 and the collecting box 13.
- the radiator brackets may also be located elsewhere in the radiator or heat exchanger, ie not at the collection box, but for example in the region of a side part.
- the auxiliary support according to the invention would in such a case at the location of the broken (dysfunctional) radiator support, so for example be attached to the side part ,

Description
The invention relates to a device for fastening a heat exchanger according to the preamble of claim 1 and a method for repairing fasteners of a heat exchanger according to the preamble of
It is an object of the present invention to improve a method of the type mentioned in that in case of malfunction storage in the vehicle, eg. B. due to damage or destruction with simple means and can be repaired inexpensively.
The object of the invention is first achieved by the features of claim 1. According to the invention, it is proposed that the damaged (dysfunctional) fastener element can be replaced by a retrofittable Histfsab support. The advantage here is that not the entire heat exchanger must be replaced, but only the broken or damaged original fastener completely removed and replaced by an adapted auxiliary support. This repair measure can be carried out with simple means and low expenditure of time. The heat exchanger is then fully functional again and continue to use.
Advantageous embodiments of the invention will become apparent from the dependent claims. The broken fastener is replaced by a fastening bolt, which advantageously carries a sleeve and with the heat exchanger, preferably the collecting box is screwed. For this purpose, a hole is made in the region of the broken fastener, which is designed as a molded-on collection box pin, into which the fastening bolt is inserted and held by a nut. To simplify assembly, the nut is received positively in a receiving opening on the collecting box. Prerequisite for this solution is that the fastener or the molded pin is not directly on the wall of the header, but is arranged for example on a mounting paragraph or a mounting base. This ensures that the production of the hole for the fastening bolt no leakage of coolant or other Wärmeüberirägermedium occurs. The fastening bolt with sleeve can be mounted easily and in little time, can be produced at low cost and fulfills the function of the original fastener. The entire heat exchanger therefore does not need to be replaced.

Notwithstanding the illustrated embodiment, the radiator brackets, preferably formed as a mounting or journal, may also be located elsewhere in the radiator or heat exchanger, ie not at the collection box, but for example in the region of a side part. The auxiliary support according to the invention would in such a case at the location of the broken (dysfunctional) radiator support, so for example be attached to the side part , Furthermore, it is possible to attach the auxiliary support according to the invention to other heat exchangers, in particular to intercoolers or also to a cooling module or the frame of a cooling module instead of the functionally disturbed mounts.
