Description

The present invention relates to a gliding board, particularly the invention relates to a ski for snow or a snowboard.

In known manner, the sliding boards comprise several components assembled to each other by different techniques such as gluing, welding, or injection.

Typically, a gliding board comprises a top, a sliding surface, also called sole, at least one upper reinforcement, at least one lower reinforcement and an intermediate structure placed between the lower reinforcement and the upper reinforcement. The FR 2 781 686 describes a ski of this type where the intermediate structure consists of a single piece called the core.

The US Patent 3,326,564 discloses a ski having a torsional stiffness which is made responsive by slot placement in the reinforcements and the intermediate structure.

The choice of materials makes it possible to characterize the behavior of the gliding board. For example, each of the reinforcing materials has well-defined properties. Thus, it is known that a ski with aluminum reinforcements has a soft contact with the snow, and that it dampens the relief. Such a ski is powerful and well placed on the snow. It is more suited to downhill or giant slalom practices.

On the other hand, a ski with fiber reinforcements is lively and nervous, it has a good rebound. This type of ski is suitable for bumps or the sequence of short turns.

On the other hand, the geometry of the gliding board also determines its behavior. Since the appearance of the skis to the lines of dimensions dug, as have so-called parabolic skis, the ends of the ski (spatula, heel) widen, and it is observed that this results in intolerant behavior at the extremities. Indeed, the ends can then be, in some cases, vibrant, guiding, tricky for skiers with a low level and this depending on snow or terrain.

The present invention aims to provide a gliding board that allows to overcome the limitations posed by the devices known in the prior art. In particular, the invention aims to provide a gliding board whose behavior is improved.

L'objectif de l'invention est obtenu par la fourniture d'une planche de glisse selon la revendication 1.The object of the invention is obtained by providing a gliding board according to claim 1.

Slots are preferably provided in the lower reinforcement and in the upper reinforcement and these slits are through, so that said zone of said at least one of the ends of the board, said intermediate structure is not interposed between a portion of said at least one lower reinforcement and said at least one upper reinforcement.

Preferably, at said zone, there is a continuity of the intermediate structure in the transverse direction. This continuity can be achieved by the fact that the intermediate structure comprises a one-piece core, or by the fact that the intermediate structure comprises a rigid core resistant to vertical compression and a connecting element made of a material distinct from the rest of the core, placed in said area and capable of flexing in a transverse direction.

In a preferred embodiment, the rigid core comprises a slot at said area facing the slots in the lower and upper reinforcements. In this case, the slot in the rigid core has dimensions, that is to say, width and length, greater than those slots in the reinforcements, upper and lower. This slot is completely filled by the connecting element whose outer dimensions are identical to those of the slot.

In a preferred embodiment the connecting element is made of a rubber-like material.

In a first embodiment of the invention the slot formed in the lower reinforcement and the slot in the upper reinforcement are equivalent (substantially the same length and the same width) and they are placed rigorously one above the other. 'other.

In other embodiments, multiple variants are possible; the length lo-i-1 of the lower slot of the lower reinforcement may be larger or smaller than the length lo-s-1 of the upper slot of the upper reinforcement. In the same way, the width La-i-1 of the lower slot of the lower reinforcement may be larger or smaller than the width La-s-1 of the upper slot of the upper reinforcement.

  • The figure 9 is a cross-sectional view of a gliding board according to a fourth embodiment of the invention.
  • The Figures 10a, 10b, 10c, 10d show alternative embodiments.
  • The figure 1 shows in plan view a gliding board 1 according to a first embodiment of the invention. It is a ski having a front end 6, also called spatula, and a rear end 7, called heel. The gliding board is constituted by the superposition of a gliding sole 2, a lower reinforcement 4, an upper reinforcement 3, an intermediate structure 5, placed between the said at least one lower reinforcement 4 and the said minus an upper reinforcement 3; and a top layer 11 covering the whole. The intermediate structure is essentially constituted by a nucleus. The core is made of a rigid material which is sufficiently resistant to vertical compression so that when it is interposed between the lower reinforcement and the upper reinforcement it ensures good rigidity to the gliding board. This material may be for example wood, polyurethane or any other equivalent material. In a zone Z1, of the front end 6, and in a zone Z2 of the rear end, the intermediate structure 5 is not interposed between the upper reinforcement 3 and the lower reinforcement 4. To be more precise, it would be necessary to say that in the zone Z1 and / or in the zone Z2, the intermediate structure 5 is not interposed between the upper reinforcement 3 and the lower reinforcement 4 in the same way as it is in the rest of the board of gliding. Indeed, and in other words, the slots that are formed in the reinforcements may, in an equivalent manner, be replaced by weakenings, such as, for example, decreases in thickness or simple notches.

In zone Z1, respectively in zone Z2, the top layer 11 has a slot of length Lo-s-1, respectively Lo-s-2. At the front of the gliding board, in zone Z1, the length of the slot, Lo-s-1, is between 150 mm and 400 mm, preferably between 200 mm and 350 mm. In particular, it was noted that good results were obtained with a slit in the area before Z1 having a length of about 300 mm. It should be noted that the measurement of the length of the slot is from the tip of the gliding board, whether or not it is covered and possibly extended by a plastic tip.

At the rear of the gliding board, in zone Z2, the length of the slot Lo-s-2 is between 20 mm and 200 mm, preferably between 50 mm and 180 mm. In particular, good results have been obtained with a rear slot whose length Lo-s-2 is approximately equal to 150 mm.

The figure 2 shows in cross section the front end 6 of the gliding board. At this section, the lower reinforcement 4 and the upper reinforcement 3 both comprise two portions separated by a slot. The upper slot formed in the upper reinforcement 3 has a width La-s-1 which is equal to the width La-i-1 of the lower slot formed in the lower reinforcement 4. This common width is between 5 mm and 30 mm preferably between 7 mm and 20 mm. Good results are obtained with a slot in the lower reinforcement 4 whose width La-i-1 is approximately equal to 10 mm.

As has been said above, it will be possible to envisage replacing the slots with weakenings, such as, for example, decreases in the thickness of the reinforcements.

The intermediate structure 5 comprises a core 8 whose front and rear ends comprise a slot. The slot at its front end is visible on the figure 2 . It is a slot that passes vertically through the core 8. Its dimensions (width, length) are greater than those of the slots in the lower reinforcement and the upper reinforcement. The intermediate structure 5 also comprises a connecting element 9 which fills the space left free by the slot formed in the core 8. The connecting element 9 is constituted by a block of rubber, or in any equivalent material, for example elastomer, having the same thickness as the core and dimensions such that it can fit into the slot therein.

In the zone Z1, there is a continuity in the transverse direction of the intermediate structure 5 while there is discontinuity of the lower reinforcements 4 and upper 3. In other words, in the zone Z1, the intermediate structure 5 does not is not interposed between the upper reinforcement 3 and the lower reinforcement 4.

The gliding board also comprises a gliding base 2, placed under the lower reinforcement 4, metal edges 10 and a top 11, placed on the upper reinforcement 3.

As is the case in the lower reinforcement 4, a slot is cut in the gliding base 2. This slot of the sole is slightly smaller than the slot in the lower reinforcement so that the edges of the sole surrounding the slit of the sole cover the edges of the lower reinforcement surrounding the slot of the lower reinforcement, thereby sealing the lower surface of the gliding board.

Similarly, a slot, called the slot above, is also formed in the top 11. This slot is slightly smaller than the slot in the upper reinforcement 3. Thus, at the slot, the edges of the top 11 cover the edges of the upper reinforcement 3, sealing the upper surface of the gliding board.

If a cut was made in the rear end of the gliding board, we would see a construction similar to that described in figure 2 with, in the zone Z2, a discontinuity of the upper reinforcement 3, the latter having a slot of width La-s-2 and length Lo-s-2, and a discontinuity of the lower reinforcement 4, the latter having a slot of width La-i-2 and length Lo-i-2.

Thanks to the two slots in the ski, one at the front, the other at the rear, it is somehow an unlocking ends become too rigid by increasing their width. The figure 3 described in a cross section similar to that of the figure 2 , the new behavior of the gliding board made possible by the construction of the latter according to the invention. The discontinuity of the lower and upper reinforcements introduces a flexibility, a certain flexibility in a transverse direction. On the other hand, the element of liaison ensures a continuity of the structure of the gliding board, especially in terms of longitudinal flexural characteristics.

A split gliding board according to the invention is for the user easier to skid and therefore easier to control. The drawbacks of gliding boards with dug-out lines and short radii of curvature, that is to say less than 15 meters are considerably lessened.

In general, it is found that the gliding boards made according to the invention are very progressive, they are homogeneous in the course of the curve, they are accessible and in particular tolerant and easy. On the other hand, these boards of gliding are very stable on flat ground while allowing an extreme softness of the ends on the reliefs.

The figure 4 describes in section a second embodiment of the invention. As in the first embodiment, the gliding board is constituted by the superposition of a sliding sole 2, a lower reinforcement 4, an upper reinforcement 3 and an intermediate structure 5, placed between said at least one lower reinforcement 4 and said at least one upper reinforcement 3. The intermediate structure 5 essentially consists of a core 8 completed in a zone Z1, of the front end 6, and in a zone Z2 of the rear end, by a connecting element 9. In these zones Z1 and Z2, the intermediate structure 5 is not interposed between the upper reinforcement 3 and the lower reinforcement 4.

The figure 4 shows in cross section the front end 6 of the gliding board. In the following lines, only the front end of the board and therefore the area Z1 will be discussed. Of course, all that is written is also valid for the rear end and zone Z2.

La profondeur de cette zone en retrait est déterminée par l'épaisseur du renfort supérieur 3.The top layer 11, does not have, as in the previous embodiment, slit. In the zone Z1, the top layer 11 rests directly on the connecting element 9. The zone Z1 is visually marked by a portion of the top layer slightly set back from the rest of the upper surface of the gliding board. . The depth of this recessed zone is determined by the thickness of the upper reinforcement 3.

However, it is possible to remove this recessed portion by filling the slot in the upper reinforcement 3 with a shim (not shown) or to increase the depth of the recessed portion by providing a top layer 11 having a lower thickness in zone Z1 than in the rest.

The sliding sole 2 also has no slot. In the zone Z1, the sliding sole is in direct contact with the connecting element 9. However, in the zone Z1, the sole has a smaller thickness, so that the groove 12 visible in the sole has a depth greater than the thickness of the lower reinforcement 4. In the case where we would like to make the groove even more visible, it is conceivable to make the sliding sole into several parts, the part placed at the bottom of the groove having a different color from that of the rest of the sole.

Advantageously, when the top layer 11 and the gliding sole do not have a slot, the construction of the ski is simplified. Indeed, in this case, the waterproofness of the ski at the slot is more easily obtained.

The sliding boards described so far describe boards for which the slot which is formed in the upper reinforcement at the front, respectively at the rear, is of the same length as that which is formed in the reinforcement below the before, respectively at the back. We will now see that this is not a limiting feature of the invention and that it is possible to envisage boards for which the slot of the upper reinforcement is different from the slot of the lower reinforcement in length, in size and / or shape.

The Figures 5, 6, 7 and 8 show a third embodiment of the invention. The Figures 5, 6 and 7 show a simplified longitudinal section, a view from above and a view from below, while the figure 8 shows a cross section.

The gliding board 1 is constituted by the superposition of a gliding sole 2, a lower reinforcement 4, an upper reinforcement 3 and an intermediate structure 5, placed between the said at least one lower reinforcement 4 and the said at least one upper reinforcement 3. The intermediate structure 5 consists essentially of a core 8 completed in a zone Z1, of the front end 6, and in a zone Z2 of the rear end, by a connecting element 9. these zones Z1 and Z2, the intermediate structure 5 is not interposed between the upper reinforcement 3 and the lower reinforcement 4.

The gliding board also comprises a top 11 and edges 10 disposed on either side of the gliding base 2. In the chosen construction, the top 11 rests directly on the edges 10. This is not a question of a limiting feature of the invention and we can achieve the invention with a construction for which songs are inserted between the edges and the top.

Dans la même zone Z1, le renfort inférieur 4 présente une fente de longueur Lo-i-1 et de largeur La-i-1.In the front end of the board, that is to say at the level of the spatula, a zone Z1 is defined in which the upper reinforcement 3 has a slot of length Lo-s-1 and width La-s- 1. In the same zone Z1, the lower reinforcement 4 has a slot of length Lo-i-1 and width La-i-1.

The length of the slot of the upper reinforcement Lo-s-1 is smaller than that of the slot of the upper reinforcement Lo-i-1, while the width La-s-1 is also smaller than the width of the slot of the Lower reinforcement La-i-1.

Dans la même zone Z2, le renfort inférieur 4 présente une fente de longueur Lo-i-2 et de largeur La-i-2.Similarly, at the rear end of the board, that is to say at the heel, a zone Z2 is defined in which the upper reinforcement 3 has a slot of length Lo-s-2 and width La -s-2. In the same zone Z2, the lower reinforcement 4 has a slot of length Lo-i-2 and width La-i-2.

The length of the slot of the upper reinforcement Lo-s-2 is smaller than that of the slot of the upper reinforcement Lo-i-2, while the width La-s-2 is also smaller than the width of the slot of the Lower reinforcement La-i-2.

It will be possible to choose any combination of the different lengths and different widths of the slots present in zones Z1 and Z2. So the figure 9 shows a cross section similar to that of the figure 8 of a fourth embodiment of the invention wherein the width La-s-1 of the slot of the upper reinforcement is wider than the width La-i-1 of the slot of the lower reinforcement.

Similarly, although the first four embodiments of the invention described above relate to gliding boards whose reinforcements have slots having rectangular shapes placed along the median axis of the gliding board, the invention is not limited to these possibilities alone. Moreover, Figures 10a, 10b, 10c and 10d show alternative embodiments. Without going into the details of the complete assembly of the corresponding gliding boards, the Figures 10a, 10b and 10d show respectively in partial top view lower reinforcements 4 having a slit 14 of "wasp waist" (10a), right trapezoidal (10b) and inverted trapezoidal (10d) shape. The figure 10c shows, meanwhile, a lower reinforcement 4 whose slot 14 is not placed along the median axis 13 of the gliding board.

The sliding boards described above comprise a slot in the front zone Z1 and a slot in the rear zone Z2. It is also possible to envisage sliding boards according to the invention for which a slot is formed only in the zone before Z1, for example for producing a ski typed performance, or only in the rear zone Z2, for example for the realization of a ski freeride type.

The present invention is not limited to the few embodiments described here, purely descriptive, but it covers any equivalent embodiment. On the other hand, there is no mention of the ski manufacturing process insofar as a ski according to the invention can be made regardless of the chosen embodiment; collage, pressing, injection, etc.
