Wenn nun beim weiteren Einschalten der Kontakthebel 19 weiter verschwenkt wird, dann legt sich der Kontakthebel 26 an den Vorsprung 44 an, wodurch zwischen dem beweglichen Kontaktstück und dem feststehenden Kontaktstück ein Abstand t verbleibt, der so bemessen ist, dass bei entsprechenden Strömen (Nennströmen) ein Lichtbogen nicht entstehen kann. Bei weiterem Einschalten bewegt sich der Kontakthebel 26 mit seiner Kontur 47 gegen den Vorsprung 45, wobei der Kontakthebel zusammen mit dem Langloch 46 am Zapfen 27 entlang gleitet, geführt durch das Langloch. Dadurch drückt die Kontur 47 gegen den Vorsprung 45, so dass sich der Doppelarmhebel 40 verschwenkt. Der Kontakthebel besitzt in dem Bereich, in dem sich der Vorsprung 44 befindet, eine Kante 48, wogegen der Vorsprung 44 eine ebene, senkrecht zur Längserstreckung des Armes 42 verlaufende Anschlagfläche 49 aufweist. Man erkennt, dass in der Stellung gemäß Fig. 2 die Kante 48 gegen die Anschlagfläche 49 anliegt. Sobald die Nase bzw. Der Lagerzapfen 27 des Kontakthebels 26 befindet sich näher zur vorderen Frontseite des Leitungsschutzschaltergehäuses und der Lagerpunkt 52 des Doppelarmhebels 50 liegt einerseits näher zum Elektromagnetsystem und näher zur Befestigungsseite, wobei in der Ausführung gemäß den Figuren 4 bis 6 die durch das feststehende Kontaktstück 29 und den Lagerpunkt 52 hindurch verlaufende, parallel zur Breitseitenfläche (ohne Bezugsziffern) des Leitungsschutzschaltergehäuses verlaufende Linie etwa senkrecht zur vorderen Frontfläche und senkrecht zur Befestigungsfläche verläuft. Der Doppelarmhebel 50 besitzt einen zur Befestigungsfläche vorspringenden ersten Arm 53, der an seinem freien Ende eine Öse 54 aufweist, die eine langlochartige Innenkontur 55 besitzt, deren Längsachse etwa quer zu der Längserstreckung des Doppelarmhebels 50 verläuft. An der dem Drehpunkt 52 entgegengesetzt liegenden Konturseite 56 der Öse 54 befindet sich eine Rastnase 57, die mit dem freien Ende 58 des Kontakthebels zusammenwirkt. Das freie Ende des Kontakthebels ist insoweit mit einer Abwinklung versehen, die in die Öffnung 55 hineingreift. Claims (10)

  1. Switching device, in particular circuit breaker or the like, comprising a switching mechanism with a latching point, comprising a contact lever (26), which is connected to a toggle switch (18) via a lug (23) and a coupling element (22), wherein, on pivoting the toggle switch (18) in the making direction, the contact lever (26) is brought into the making position via the coupling element (22) and the lug (23) when the latching point is latched, characterized in that means (40, 53) for temporarily holding firm the movable contact lever (26) during the making operation are provided, which means are released when the contact lever (26) moves further, with the result that a sudden impingement of the movable contact piece (28) fitted on the contact lever (26) on the fixed contact piece (29) is effected.
  2. Switching device according to Claim 1, characterized in that a twin-armed lever (40) is provided as means, wherein one arm (42) of said twin-armed lever interacts with the end of the contact lever (26) which has the movable contact piece (28), so as to temporarily latch said end of the contact lever, and the other arm (43) of said twin-armed lever is actuated by the contact lever (26) on making thereof so that the one arm (42) releases the contact lever (26).
  3. Switching device according to Claim 2, characterized in that the fulcrum (41) of the twin-armed lever (40) is arranged on that side of the contact lever (26) which is opposite the fixed contact piece (29), wherein the other arm (43) interacts with the contact lever region on which the lug (23) acts.
  4. Switching device according to Claim 2 or 3, characterized in that the two arms (42, 43) of the twin-armed lever (40) run perpendicular to one another, wherein the free end of one arm (43) of the twin-armed lever (40) is located in the region of the bearing point (27, 46) of the contact lever (26), whereas the other arm (42) has a projection (44) which protrudes into the movement path of the contact lever (26) and at least temporarily holds the contact lever (26) firmly during the making operation.
  5. Switching device according to one of Claims 2 to 4, characterized in that a planar face (49) is provided on the projection (44) on the side adjacent to the contact lever (26), with a tab (48) on the contact lever (26) bearing against said planar face during the making operation, wherein the face (49) is dimensioned such that, once a certain rotation angle has been covered, the projection (44) releases the contact lever (26).
  6. Switching device according to either of Claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the fulcrum (52) of the twin-armed lever (50) is arranged between the movable contact lever (26) and the line which runs approximately perpendicularly to the fastening plane of the switching device, which runs through the fixed contact piece (29), wherein one lever arm of the twin-armed lever bears with a projection (60) against the contact-piece-side edge of the contact lever (26) in the region of the slot (47) against said contact lever, whereas the other end of the twin-armed lever interacts with the end of the contact lever (26), on which the movable contact piece is located or to which said movable contact piece is coupled.
  7. Switching device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a slot-like opening (55) is provided in the twin-armed lever (50) at the end thereof, the longitudinal axis of said opening running transversely to the longitudinal extent of the twin-armed lever (50), and a latching tab (57) being integrally formed on that edge (56) of said opening which is remote from the axis of rotation, which latching tab interacts with a bent-back portion, which is arranged on the contact lever (26) and engages in the opening (55), in such a way that the contact lever (26) is held firmly by the latching tab (57) with a spacing in which an arc is not yet drawn between the fixed contact piece (29) and the movable contact piece (28).
  8. Switching device according to one of claims 4 to 7, characterized in that the twin-armed lever (43) and the contact lever (26) form an acute angle with one another which is open towards the front front-panel side of the switching device.
  9. Switching device according to Claim 8, characterized in that the coupling between the contact lever (26) and the twin-armed lever (50) and hence the point of the V shape is directed towards the fastening face or fastening plane.
  10. Switching device according to Claim 9, characterized in that the bearing point (27, 46) for the contact lever (26) is closer to the front-panel side than the bearing point (52) of the twin-armed lever (50).
