The respective carrier tape comprises an electrically insulating carrier substrate and a conductor track fixedly connected thereto, which is preferably applied to the carrier substrate in one and the same method step as the metal layer. The carrier fibers of the Velcro structures are firmly connected to the carrier substrate.

The conductor track is preferably provided as an electrical supply line. It is arranged on a surface of the carrier substrate and conductively connected to the contact region of this carrier tape. Both main surfaces of the carrier substrate each have at least one conductor track. The conductor tracks of the two main surfaces are conductively connected to one another via at least one opening formed in the carrier substrate, which has a metallized surface.

On the conductor track, which serves as a supply line, an insulating layer is preferably arranged. This isolates the supply line to the outside, which can be to avoid unwanted short circuits and electric shock advantage.

The conductor track is arranged in a feed region of the carrier tape, which preferably lies on the main surface of the respective carrier tape, on which the contact region with the hook and loop structures is also arranged. The supply area is preferably free of the Velcro structures.

  • Figur 1 im Querschnitt ein Beispiel einer nicht zur Erfindung gehörenden Klettverbindung mit ineinander greifenden elektrisch leitfähigen Klettstrukturen von zwei Trägerbändern;
The electrical contact element, which comprises an electrically conductive Velcro connection, will now be explained with reference to schematic and not to scale figures. Show it:
  • FIG. 1 in cross section, an example of a not belonging to the invention Velcro connection with interlocking electrically conductive Velcro structures of two carrier bands;
  • FIG. 2 in cross-section an embodiment of a hook and loop fastener having a plurality of carrier tapes, which have Velcro on both surfaces.

In FIG. 1 an example of a not belonging to the invention Velcro connection is shown, which comprises a first carrier tape 1 and a second carrier tape 2. The first carrier tape 1 comprises a flexible first carrier substrate 11 and the second carrier tape 2 a flexible second carrier substrate 21. The first carrier tape 1 has a first contact region 12 with first Velcro structures 14 and the second carrier tape 2 a second contact region 22 with second Velcro structures 24. The Velcro structures 14, 24 of the two carrier bands are complementary to each other - as loops and hooks - formed and interlock. The first Velcro structures 14 are fixedly connected to the carrier substrate 11 of the first carrier tape 1 and the second Velcro structures 24 to the carrier substrate 21 of the second carrier tape 2, even if the Velcro connection is disconnected.

On the surface of the respective carrier substrate conductor tracks 15, 25 are arranged, which are electrically conductively connected to the contact region 12, 22. The conductor tracks are arranged here on both main surfaces of the carrier substrate. The conductor tracks of the two main surfaces are conductively connected to one another via at least one through-connection 16, 26 formed in the carrier substrate. The via can be formed, for example, by an opening formed in the carrier substrate with a metallized surface. The opening can also be at least partially filled with an electrically conductive material.

On the metallization on the outwardly facing side of the carrier tape may be waived under certain circumstances. If through-contacted by the tape, it is possible to dispense with the metallization on the inwardly facing side of the carrier tape.

Each carrier tape 11, 21 may have at least one inner conductor track, which is connected in parallel to the conductor tracks 15 and 25 and is also conductively connected to the through-connection 16 or 26. A parallel interconnection of printed conductors has the advantage of a high current carrying capacity. This makes it possible to lead in the contact arrangement with the Velcro connection currents above 1 A.

The respective carrier tape 1, 2 comprises an end region 13, 23 which is free of Velcro structures. The end portion 13, 23 is preferably metallization-free and provided as a handle for a user to separate the Velcro connection.

Preferably, only one region of the respective carrier strip provided as a contact region has the hook-and-loop structures, with its remaining regions being free from hook-and-loop structures.

In FIG. 2 a Velcro connection according to the invention is shown, which has a plurality of first carrier tapes 1 and a plurality of second carrier tapes 2, each having Velcro on both surfaces. For example, loop-type Velcro structures on the first main surface and hook-like Velcro structures are arranged on the second main surface of the respective first (or second) carrier tape.

It is advantageous if the terminal carrier tapes have no Velcro structures on their outwardly facing surface.

The carrier tapes of one and the same type are preferably combined - for example by means of a belt or an envelope - to form a waistband.
