Description

  • La présente invention concerne une feuille en matière fibreuse, notamment un billet de banque, comportant des éléments de sécurité tactile.
  • ARRIERE PLAN DE L'INVENTION
  • On sait qu'en raison du développement des moyens de reproduction il devient de plus en plus difficile de réaliser des éléments de sécurité visuels ne pouvant pas être reproduits par les fraudeurs. En outre l'examen d'un élément de sécurité visuel complexe ne peut pas être effectué par un commerçant devant un client, tant en raison de la rapidité avec laquelle le contrôle doit être exécuté qu'en raison de la contrariété qu'un client honnête risque de ressentir lorsqu'il assiste à un examen détaillé du billet qu'il vient de remettre au commerçant.
  • Afin de permettre un contrôle rapide et discret d'une feuille en matière fibreuse comportant un élément de sécurité, il a donc été envisagé de réaliser des éléments de sécurité tactile.
  • A cet effet le document US-A-2006/0088160 propose de réaliser des éléments de sécurité tactile en effectuant des impressions en relief par des variations de la quantité de toner déposée sur la feuille pour réaliser un signe de sécurité. Un tel signe de sécurité peut toutefois être reproduit au moyen d'un matériel conventionnel en effectuant plusieurs passages du même document dans une imprimante. L'élément de sécurité proposé par ce document n'est donc pas satisfaisant.
  • Il est également proposé dans le document EP-A-1 658 992 de traiter la surface d'un billet de banque au moyen d'un rayon laser adapté à provoquer un redressement des fibres de papier donnant un relief particulier à la zone traitée. Toutefois le faible relief obtenu par ce procédé est difficilement perceptible et compte tenu de la faible dimension des fibres de papier (qui ont généralement ont diamètre de l'ordre de 10 à 35 µm) le relief ainsi obtenu risque d'être rapidement abrasé lors des manipulations du billet.
  • Par ailleurs, afin de fixer un ruban de sécurité de grande largeur dans une feuille de papier, le document WO 2005/026440 propose de réaliser le ruban sous forme d'un substrat sur lequel est collée une couche de fibres formant une toison. Du point de vue tactile, le ruban de sécurité, même lorsqu'il apparaît dans une fenêtre du papier, a donc un toucher semblable à la surface du papier.
  • OBJET DE L'INVENTION
  • Un but de l'invention est de proposer une feuille en matière fibreuse comportant un élément de sécurité qui soit tout à la fois facile à détecter de façon tactile tout en ayant une résistance suffisante aux conditions d'usage pour résister pendant toute la durée de vie du document sécurisé.
  • RESUME DE L'INVENTION
  • En vue de la réalisation de ce but on propose selon l'invention une feuille en matière fibreuse comportant des segments de fibres à papier entremêlés, et un élément de sécurité comportant une couche de colle portée par la feuille et des segments de fibres de sécurité fixés dans la couche de colle, dans laquelle les fibres de sécurité ont une extrémité enchâssée dans la couche de colle en formant un angle avec la feuille et une extrémité libre s'étendant en saillie par rapport à la couche de colle et disposée pour être tactilement perceptible par rapport à la surface de la feuille. Ainsi, par un choix approprié de la composition, des dimensions et de la répartition des fibres de sécurité il est possible d'obtenir un effet tactile facile à reconnaître et présentant une résistance à l'abrasion correspondant à la durée de vie du document sécurisé.
  • Selon une version avantageuse de l'invention la couche de colle est portée par un segment de film fixé à la feuille. De préférence le segment de film est inséré dans les segments de fibres à papier. Ainsi les éléments de sécurité peuvent être réalisés en série sur une machine adaptée à la technique de fixation des segments de fibres de sécurité sur le film et les éléments de sécurité obtenus peuvent être fixés à la feuille soit lors de la fabrication de celle-ci, soit dans une étape de traitement ultérieur de la feuille.
  • BREVE DESCRIPTION DES DESSINS
  • D'autres caractéristiques et avantages de l'invention apparaîtront à la lecture de la description qui suit d'un mode de réalisation particulier non limitatif de l'invention en référence aux figures ci-jointes parmi lesquelles:
    • La figure 1 est une vue de dessus partielle d'un billet de banque comportant des éléments de sécurité selon l'invention.
    • La figure 2 est une vue en coupe selon la ligne II-II de la figure 1.
    DESCRIPTION DETAILLEE DE L'INVENTION
  • En référence aux figures, le billet de banque selon l'invention comporte de façon connue en soi un segment de film, ici un ruban 1 qui est inséré dans des segments de fibres à papier entremêlés formant une feuille en matière fibreuse 2. Pour assurer une fixation satisfaisante du segment de film dans la feuille en matière fibreuse 2 le segment de film est de préférence réalisé à partir d'un film en matière plastique microperforé ou à partir d'une feuille de papier comprenant des fibres cellulosiques ou synthétiques, ou un mélange de celles-ci. Egalement de façon connue en soi le billet de banque illustré comporte des fenêtres 3 à l'aplomb l'une de l'autre en regard d'une portion du segment de film en matière plastique 1.
  • Selon le mode de réalisation de l'invention illustré le billet de banque comporte trois éléments de sécurité qui sont réalisés sur le ruban 1 préalablement à son insertion dans les segments de fibres à papier lors de la fabrication de la feuille 2. Les trois éléments de sécurité sont réalisés par flocage de segments de fibres, c'est-à-dire par dépôt d'une couche de colle dans laquelle une extrémité des segments de fibres de sécurité est enchâssée tout en maintenant les segments de fibres de sécurité selon une orientation déterminée en utilisant un champ électrostatique.
  • Dans l'exemple illustré le premier élément de sécurité 4 est réalisé en déposant tout d'abord sur le film 1 une couche de colle 5 en forme de B et en déposant des segments de fibres de sécurité 6 ayant par exemple un diamètre de 30 µm et une longueur de 100 µm la répartition des segments de fibres de sécurité 6 étant telle que les fibres sont espacées latéralement les unes des autres d'une distance de l'ordre de 30 µm.
  • Un deuxième élément de sécurité 7 est réalisé sur le film 1 en déposant sur celui-ci une couche de colle 8 en forme de d dans laquelle sont enchâssés des segments de fibres de sécurité 9 ayant par exemple un diamètre de 40 µm et une hauteur de 80 µm, maintenus perpendiculairement au film 1 pendant l'opération de flocage et disposés selon une densité appropriée pour que les segments de fibres de sécurité 9 soient espacés latéralement les uns des autres d'environ 40 µm.
  • Le troisième élément de sécurité 10 est réalisé sur le segment de film 1 de façon à venir en regard d'une fenêtre 3 lors de la réalisation de la feuille de papier 2. Ce troisième élément de sécurité 10 comporte une couche de colle 11 en forme de F dans laquelle est enchâssée une des extrémités de segments de fibres de sécurité 12 ayant un diamètre de 20 µm et une hauteur d'environ 80 µm la densité étant suffisante pour que les segments de fibre de sécurité 12 soient quasiment accolés les uns aux autres en s'étendant perpendiculairement au ruban 1.
  • La feuille de papier 2 est ensuite réalisée de façon connue en soi pour que le ruban 1 s'étende à peu près à mi-épaisseur de la feuille de papier 2 comme illustré sur la figure 2. Après réalisation de la feuille de papier 2 les segments de fibres de sécurité 6 sont couchés sur la surface de la feuille de papier comme illustré par la figure 2, par exemple en effectuant un brossage suivi d'un écrasement à chaud de la feuille de papier 2. Lors de la fabrication de la feuille de papier on remarquera que des segments de fibre à papier s'insèrent entre les segments de fibres de sécurité 6 et 9 de sorte que celles-ci sont non seulement enchâssées dans la couche de colle correspondante mais également dans une partie de la feuille de papier. Après finition du billet de banque le premier élément de sécurité 4 a un toucher semblable à un velours couché c'est-à-dire que la perception tactile est différente suivant le sens dans lequel on déplace un doigt sur l'élément de sécurité. A ce propos on notera que pour une meilleure compréhension de la structure de l'élément de sécurité selon l'invention les proportions n'ont pas été respectées entre les dimensions des éléments de sécurité et les dimensions de leurs constituants. Le deuxième éléments de sécurité dont les segments de fibres sont maintenus verticaux sur la majeure partie de leur longueur aura un toucher semblable à une brosse dure tandis que le troisième élément de sécurité dont les segments de fibres de sécurité sont maintenus seulement à la base aura un toucher semblable à une brosse souple.
  • En utilisant des segments de fibres de sécurité à haute résistance comme des polyamides on réalise un élément de sécurité très résistant.
  • Bien entendu l'invention n'est pas limitée aux modes de réalisation décrits et on peut y apporter des variantes de réalisation sans sortir du cadre de l'invention tel que défini par les revendications. En particulier la position du ruban 1 pourra être modifiée selon les techniques habituelles permettant de faire alterner un effleurement du ruban 1 à la surface de la feuille de papier sur l'une ou l'autre de ses faces. Un toucher particulier souhaité pourra être obtenu en faisant varier la nature des fibres utilisées ainsi que leur diamètre, leur hauteur et leur inclinaison par rapport à la surface de la feuille de papier 2.
  • Les éléments de sécurité selon l'invention pourront également être réalisés directement sur la feuille de papier après réalisation de celle-ci bien que ce mode de réalisation pose un problème de surépaisseur des éléments de sécurité par rapport à l'épaisseur nominale qui est habituellement recherchée pour les billets de banque.
  • Bien que l'invention ait été décrite en relation avec un segment de film 1 en forme de ruban, les éléments de sécurité selon l'invention peuvent également être réalisés sur des segments de films en forme de timbres qui peuvent soit être insérés pendant la fabrication de la feuille de papier, soit être appliqués sur une feuille de papier 2 après finition de celle-ci par exemple par collage à chaud.

Claims (6)

  1. Feuille en matière fibreuse (2) comportant des segments de fibres à papier entremêlés et au moins un élément de sécurité (4, 7, 10) comprenant une couche de colle (5, 8, 11) portée par la feuille et des segments de fibres de sécurité (6, 9, 12) fixés dans la couche de colle, caractérisée en ce que les segments de fibres de sécurité ont une extrémité enchâssée dans la couche de colle en formant un angle avec la feuille et une extrémité libre en saillie par rapport à la couche de colle et disposée pour être tactilement perceptible par rapport à la surface de la feuille.
  2. Feuille selon la revendication 1 caractérisée en ce que la couche de colle (5, 8, 11) est portée par un segment de film (1) fixé à la feuille.
  3. Feuille selon la revendication 2 caractérisée en ce que le segment de film (1) est inséré dans les segments de fibres à papier.
  4. Feuille selon la revendication 3 caractérisée en ce que les segments de fibres à papier s'étendent entre les segments de fibres de sécurité (6, 9) et en ce que l'extrémité libre des segments de fibres de sécurité s'étend en saillie par rapport aux segments de fibres à papier.
  5. Feuille selon la revendication 4 caractérisée en ce que l'extrémité libre des segments de fibres de sécurité (6) est couchée sur une face de la feuille 2.
  6. Feuille selon la revendication 2 caractérisée en ce que le segment de film comporte une portion s'étendant dans une fenêtre 3 de la feuille et en ce que cette portion porte un des éléments de sécurité (10).
